I Level Up Dragons with My Evolution System-Chapter 81: Another mission completed
Edward turned his attention away from intrusive thoughts and continued to help Aurora gather the important items belonging to these beasts, especially those used to cultivate the beast.
They took the opportunity to go to the boss’s room, as they couldn’t let many valuable items be lost.
When they went outside, the independent beast masters seemed anxious, as did the guards. They waited anxiously for what might happen, as they had been told that the situation inside was critical.
The hostages came out, two from the Academy came out... but two were still fighting; naturally, they were nervous.
When Aurora and Edward walked out calmly, chatting idly, the guards and beast masters stared at them in shock.
They approached the captain. "Where are they?" Edward asked.
"Huh?" The captain tilted his head in shock, looking between the two of them and the dungeon. Weren’t there problems?
"We’ll take care of that." Edward was blunt. "Please lead us to where they are. We only killed about 60 beasts and the boss, so you can go in without any problems. Tell the others." Edward said without flinching.
The captain felt a drop of sweat run down his back... as did everyone else who heard him.
They killed 60 beasts... in such a short time? What kind of monsters were they?
’I-I can’t believe it... Coming from the Academy, there are only monsters there...’ The captain swallowed hard. Fear flooded his chest, but he nodded quickly, even more respectfully.
"Please follow me," he said, and after saying something to his subordinates, he ran ahead of Edward and Aurora.
He led them to a carriage, which was heading towards the city. 𝙛𝓻𝒆𝒆𝒘𝙚𝓫𝙣𝙤𝒗𝙚𝓵.𝙘𝙤𝙢
Upon arriving in the city, they were taken to the Armed Forces Barracks, where Arnold, Lander, and the others were located.
The man’s family thanked them as if their lives depended on it. They were so grateful that they even prostrated themselves face down on the ground.
In addition, the members of the city’s Armed Forces Headquarters genuinely respected them, even treating them like VIPs. They had achieved something that few could in such a short time.
Having completed the mission so quickly, they did not stop to sightsee, but instead returned to Lor City to hand it over. The sooner a mission was handed in, the more points they would receive as a group, in the eyes of the instructors.
In a military academy where there are no real exams, but rather tests, missions, and continuous learning, the points earned from missions matter more than anything else.
That is why there are 4- and 5-star students with various insignias adorning their necks or chests; it is because they are considered elite by the instructors.
.
"You guys are really effective," said Mervan, genuinely surprised, as Edward handed him the mission.
"We did our best and managed to catch them off guard." Edward was humble and acknowledged this. "With Lander in the group, we’re pretty good at these kinds of missions too."
"Haha." Mervan laughed. "You’re right, you’re lucky to have a member of the Information Group, treat him well if you want to keep him. I’ve recently heard that many elite students are looking for that kind of partner."
Instructor Mervan was in a good mood. He praised the group and then dismissed him.
.
As Edward returned to his room, he took the opportunity to check his stats.

His stats were already above 20 points each, but his strength...
’It’s really high. I wonder what stats the beasts have.’ He was quite pleased with his level up.
If he had to say, he believed that most of his stats were at the mid-levels of the second evolution, approximately level 12-15... even a little less.
’While my strength could be equated to that of a beast in its third evolution,’ he thought.
He had faced one recently and didn’t feel it was that powerful in terms of strength. At the very least, he believed he could match it in that regard. But, at the end of the day, stats aren’t everything.
His Constitution should have been considerably lower than that of the Red Eagle Boss, but he still managed to stand firm like a tank in front of it, taking all its spells almost without flinching. That told him that the spell, Sediment Skin, was amazing, despite its E-Rank.
He considered learning new spells of that style, as he had recently been very focused on learning Attack Spells.
As he left the instructors’ office building, Edward bumped into someone.
"Bastard, don’t you watch where you’re going?" The other party roared and tried to push him, but ended up staggering back slightly.
His companions behind him held him up. "What’s wrong, John?" one of his friends asked.
John looked up, angry at having been pushed without being able to defend himself. "Bast...!" He couldn’t even finish his words when a familiar face came into view.
"Edward Lux." He said with a strange happiness palpable on his face...
’The son of that bastard Joel, John... I thought this guy was dead.’ Edward frowned, finding the smile on his face repulsive, and looked behind him.
’They’re all 3-Star students.’
There were 9 of them in total, a powerful group... But they belonged to a regiment.
’Regiment 99.’ He thought... ’Good thing I didn’t accept that.’ Somehow, he breathed a sigh of relief.
It would be really annoying to have to deal with the stupidity of someone like John.
Edward walked over and tried to pass by without paying attention to him.
But he stopped when his clothes were grabbed.
"What do you want?" Edward glared at him dangerously. "Do you want to end up like your father?"
John’s muscles tensed, his face creased with annoyance... and at the same time, a slight discomfort appeared in his heart. Those eyes... were terrifying.
He looked at the uniform he had grabbed. "Three-star student? Ha, I think the instructors are going blind to put a guy like you at our level." John scoffed and let go of it.
Edward looked at his shoulder and then turned to face John. "Clean my uniform," he protested.
"Huh?"
"The son is as deaf as the father..." He shook his head and moved his left shoulder toward John. "I said clean my uniform. Did anyone say you could touch it without permission?"
"You... Are you crazy?!" John roared with anger, but he couldn’t stand Edward’s unflinching gaze. He wanted to smash his head in.
"John, what the hell are you doing wasting your time with an idiot there? We have to deliver the mission!" someone behind him shouted. He was a tall man, almost 2 meters tall and noticeably muscular.
If there were a muscle contest at the academy, he would surely win several prizes.
John took a deep breath and nodded. "Yes, leader," he said, before turning to leave.
"Have I given you permission to leave?" Edward asked without moving from his spot.
John was filled with rage just hearing the voice and turned around angrily, but an arm stopped him. "Leader." He frowned. "Let me handle this..."
"I’ll do it." The leader in question stepped forward to stand in front of Edward.
Even though Edward wasn’t small, he still had to look up to see him properly, but he wasn’t intimidated.
"Kid, my name is Erick, they call me the Giant. What do you want? Why are you looking for trouble with us when you know we belong to the 99th Regiment?"
"Am I looking for trouble?" Edward scoffed. "If someone dirties your uniform, are you just going to stand there and say nothing? I just asked him to clean it up. If he has hands to dirty it, he must have hands to clean it."
"You want one of my men to clean your uniform? Are you crazy? We’re from the 99th Regiment!" He growled his final words. "Don’t you understand?"
It was a threat...
Edward shrugged. "So what? Even if you’re from the 01st Regiment, I don’t care. Have that bastard clean my uniform, unless you want to do it yourself."
Erick clenched his fists. "How dare you insult us?" Suddenly, a powerful fist approached Edward’s head, seeking to teach him a lesson.
"This guy is finished." Someone from his followers sneered.
"Indeed. Perhaps he could have held defend against John, but the leader wants to teach him a lesson... These guys from the temporary groups think they can compare themselves to us. Truly laughable."
But reality suddenly hit them. Erick had managed to "hit" Edward, although in reality it was only the air where he had been milliseconds before.
Suddenly, Erick found himself facing a sword that traveled all the way to hit his chest with force. That powerful force sent him backward, staggering consecutively, while Edward barely moved.
"You..." Erick bit his tongue, furious.
"What I just did is considered self-defense. Since you attacked me first." Edward sneered.
"Bastard!" Erick roared and took two steps forward, drawing a large sword and swinging it at Edward.
He was quite powerful in terms of strength, and the momentum of the attack forced Edward to defend himself.
’Very clumsy.’ Edward defended two attacks before finding several suitable openings, which he exploited efficiently.
Erick was powerful, but clumsy. His clumsiness caused him to drop his sword once again and be defeated, for the second time in less than a minute, by the same person.
"It seems like I’m speaking a different language," Edward said with a mocking gesture.
