I Have a Dice Left by a God-Chapter 348 - 215: The Bond of Brotherhood
With Grandmaster Kundra present, there was no room for anyone else. Kundra walked towards the podium, and Simmons and others promptly stood up to make space for the other Grand Scholars.
In Hedan, obtaining the status of Grand Scholar allowed one to oversee critical departments of the Kingdom, a position of significant importance and usually quite busy. Seeing them all present at the Canon Law School at the same time truly stirred the emotions of the students. It seemed the Saint Grace Canon Law School was about to soar.
Grandmaster Mordo, with a smile, stopped Simmons and the others, "Make a seat for Her Highness the Princess, we can stand for a while."
"I’ll sit with Celestia," Estella said, "It’s been a while."
Celestia curtsied, "Welcome, Your Highness, to the Saint Grace Canon Law School. Our Saint’s Grace has its unique charm."
Li Xin stood up to offer his seat, but Grandmaster Mordo quickly waved his hand, saying, "Please sit, this student."
Grandmaster Mordo stuttered a bit, pretending not to recognize, while Simmons quickly stood up, as he, being from a prestigious family, knew the drill.
Her Highness the Princess sat between Li Xin and Celestia, with the Grand Scholars standing behind. Simmons was in a dilemma about whether to stay or leave, but as the legitimate son of the George Family, he wasn’t intimidated by such an event.
Mordo looked at Simmons approvingly, "The boy from the George Family, I heard you are a representative figure of the Canon Law School, very impressive. I’m looking forward to your performance at the Glory Celebration."
"Grand Scholar, you flatter me. I shall strive to serve the country!" Simmons bowed quickly.
Mordo smiled, "No need to be reserved. I was good friends with your grandfather. Come, stand next to me. It’s excellent that you’re also focusing on learning aside from preparing for battle."
Simmons felt the warmth of Grandmaster Mordo and couldn’t restrain his joy. In his eyes, the situation of the George Family was quite awkward, and at best, they were just a pawn. Gaining the recognition of the Celestial Principle School would undoubtedly be a great boon.
Looking at Grandmaster Kundra on the podium, everyone felt this lecture was worthwhile. More students rushed over after hearing the sudden visit of Grandmaster Kundra and Her Highness the Princess. The dean and all management personnel of the academy were also present but were blocked by the Knight and persuaded to leave. Kundra’s sudden visit mainly aimed to observe the Canon Law School’s real situation.
"I suppose everyone is aware of the Five Questions of the Celestial Principle. This sudden strike at the Canon Law School is a demonstration of gaining truth from practice. I want to see the true state of our Canon Law School, whether what we advocate is correct and genuinely helps those young talents who wish to become outstanding and serve the country," Kundra’s gentle voice echoed in every corner of the classroom, "You all are better than I expected!"
Immediately, the entire room erupted in applause, and there was a flame in the eyes of the young people. This is an age where recognition is most needed, and they are willing to risk everything for belief and faith.
In the Cabinet, Kundra and James, one literate and one "martial," sometimes there seems to be no stance from Kundra. However, this Grandmaster Kundra is the all-rounder, mending things wherever needed. James takes the lead, and actually, the rhythm is clear, while Kundra has to coordinate all aspects of forces, balancing the major powers, which is indeed rare.
Kundra delivered an unusual lecture of the Celestial Principle School at the Saint Grace Canon Law School. He did not mention the Unity of Knowledge and Action, because he himself could not fully understand it yet, but he clearly explained the concept of productivity and production relations, encouraging the students to try, "All the laws of the world are used by Moncalleta. Only then can the country become increasingly prosperous..."
Li Xin’s position was undoubtedly the most envied in the room, sitting next to Her Highness the Princess. It’s a blessing cultivated over several lifetimes, yet Li Xin didn’t feel it at all. Damn it, with several Grand Scholars eyeing him closely, what are they plotting now? He’s already lost his underwear; if he’s asked to discuss Unity of Knowledge and Action again, it’s over. His understanding might not even be as profound.
The feared moment came, and as expected, after Kundra’s lecture, he began inviting students to ask questions and started questioning them. Li Xin felt Kundra’s gaze, and quickly signaled with his hands across his chest, better not steal this limelight.
If it were James, he would have handled it without care and acted first, but Kundra simply smiled and didn’t insist. He wasn’t here on a whim this time. The recent bird report achieved unexpected results that were beyond all anticipation. The Celestial Principle School thought the report was a good means to quell the storm, but no one expected it would compel the Church Court to bow.
Having clashed with the Church Court for years, always being on the losing side, advancing cautiously inch by inch, only to almost be destroyed; yet Mr. Li proposed a plan that instantly turned the tables. Such understated but immensely powerful force could only be accomplished by a saint.
Even achieving the admission into the military, fought so hard for years, was granted outright. While temporarily sparing Oliver, it also paved the way for greater potential in the future.
Power struggles are difficult games of chess; while Oliver is a key figure, he isn’t the only key.
The scholars of the Celestial Principle School felt the spiritual impact of truth within the Five Questions of the Celestial Principle. This event served as a perfect illustration of "practice is the sole criterion for testing the truth."
Such a framework has always been pursued by the Celestial Principle School, who firmly believe that the Celestial Principle School can achieve this effect. There must be deeper insights hidden within, and to replicate such success, discussion is needed. However, aside from Li Xin, no one can grasp it clearly.
The whole classroom atmosphere was lively, but Li Xin felt like he was sitting on pins and needles. Knowing then, he would have preferred to be back at the hotel writing rather than facing these unfriendly-looking old men behind him. A beauty would have been different.
When class ended, the Knights came in to maintain order. Grandmaster Mordo proposed to visit the base of the Saint Grace Canon Law School right away, which thrilled Simmons and others. As long as the Grand Scholars were satisfied, the resources and support the Saint Grace Canon Law School would subsequently receive would be enormous, also signifying an establishment of good relations between the George Family and the Celestial Principle School.
"It’s our honor," Simmons bowed, determined to seize such an opportunity.
Yet the Grand Scholars remained still, leaving Simmons in an awkward spot, unsure whether to leave or stay.
Li Xin thought, a bunch of old things, trying to get stuff for free when there’s already not much in stock, their last account isn’t settled yet.
Celestia was the first to react. She was familiar with Her Highness the Princess, but during their conversation, she noticed that the Princess appeared distracted, occasionally focusing elsewhere. The Grand Scholars behind her seemed the same, clearly not just there to listen to Kundra’s lecture. Though ranked lower than Kundra, the Three-star Grand Scholars only differed in cultivation level, with varying interpretations of the Celestial Principle School. No need for this many people to attend.
Kundra’s lecture content was relatively elementary for them, yet their patience indicated that Kundra was not their main focus.
At that moment, everyone coincidentally shifted their gaze to Li Xin, leaving him helpless. So much for feigning ignorance, "I’m not part of the team, so I’ll abstain."
After the last incident, he thought perhaps the big shots were too embarrassed to bring up a fee in person, and they would send it afterward, but there was no news.
Kundra stepped down, all smiles, "I heard Mr. Li and Simmons are good friends. Good friends should help each other."
Calling Mr. Li so smoothly, with an old face full of smiles and no psychological barriers.
???
Simmons realized, although he wondered how he had such great influence. Even if his grandfather intervened, it wouldn’t result in such privileges, Brother Li... the bond of good brothers truly lasts a lifetime!
"Young Master Xiong Ying and I are certainly good friends, but we aren’t that familiar," Li Xin said lightly, knowing emotional ties would only lead to loss.
Kundra and others chuckled bitterly. They knew the truth wasn’t easily passed on, thus adopting this desperate measure, as having face on the path of knowledge is futile. James is thin-skinned, but he isn’t.
They had anticipated this outcome; having helped significantly last time, returning again seemed a tad unreasonable. However, it was unbearable, knowing the great path lay right before them, yet unable to decipher it, causing sleepless nights, leaving no regard for status or decency.
Seeing their teacher’s embarrassed expression, Estella knew the teachers were on the verge of fighting. Differences in opinions even led to physical altercations, and nobody could convince anyone else. As soon as they heard Li Xin appeared at the Canon Law School’s Celestial Principle lecture, they couldn’t resist rushing over.
"Could we chat briefly? The teachers are troubled, otherwise they wouldn’t have disturbed you," Estella said softly.
Li Xin looked at Miss Aries, finding it hard to refuse, and softly replied, "No guarantee I can help."
"Haha, let’s chat, just a conversation," Kundra immediately beamed, "Gag order."
In an instant, nobody’s magic could be used, preventing any news from leaking outside.
