I Have a Date with a Thousand-year-old Female Corpse-Chapter 1335: Return of the Hungry Wolf (Seven Updates)
Chapter 1335: Chapter 1335: Return of the Hungry Wolf (Seven Updates)
"Ah-Jian is absolutely right. This is my initial plan." Zhao’er looked up at the sky. "Life is short. Instead of dying insignificantly in a dull world, why not go all out and fight like there’s no tomorrow!"
"Boss, I support you!" Smiling Knife shouted.
Zhao’er’s expression turned serious as he calmly spoke to the two men. "We are currently facing many challenges. I’ve come to the grassland this time in search of my companion, the King of the Prairie. My troops encountered formidable resistance in the Netherworld."
"The Netherworld!?" The two brothers exclaimed immediately.
"You mean the world full of endless monsters?" Feng Yujian’s face showed immense surprise.
"You mean the place filled with countless beautiful women?" Smiling Knife’s expression looked comically sleazy.
Zhao’er nodded and shared part of his experiences with the two men. Upon learning of Zhao’er’s connection with the Ghost King, Feng Yujian’s face brimmed with reverence. "Elder brother truly lives up to his title as our elder brother. Elder brother, do you know the true identity of the Ghost King?"
"Does the Ghost King have a true identity?"
Feng Yujian nodded and said, "I’ve heard my dad talk about this before. He said this game was developed with the approval of the main leaders of three star systems. Many of the leaders of powerful factions in the game hold prominent positions in the real world. Take the Ghost King for example: his true identity is the Alliance Hierarch of the Starry Night Business Alliance. His real name is Yin Lang, and this Starry Night Business Alliance operates extensively within the three star systems, most notably in the Utopia Galaxy. Yin Lang even developed a territory outside the three star systems that’s only one-fifth the size of the Solar System. That territory is the headquarters of the Starry Night Business Alliance. It’s said that Yin Lang’s current wealth equals the total income of the three star systems over a period of ten years."
"The total income of ten years!?"
Zhao’er’s face now bore an unmistakably shocked expression. Ten years of total income meant that Yin Lang’s wealth could fund a thousand people burning a million Galaxy coins per minute from birth until death, spanning a total of 135 years, without ever exhausting his fortune. His wealth had reached an incomprehensible magnitude!
"This is the true extent of the Ghost King’s power. But who could have thought, Elder Brother, that you’d be connected to the Ghost King? My dad has tried countless times to establish ties with the Starry Night Business Alliance, but they’ve always disdainfully turned him away. If my dad finds out that Elder Brother is one of the Ghost King’s men, he’d probably send an entire plane full of beautiful women to curry favor with you."
Beautiful women, huh. With the sharp rise in population figures, the term had become exceedingly broad. Walk down the street and your eyes would be bombarded with countless women, each with their own unique charm and presence.
Many of these women had undergone gene modification, so dinosaurs had ironically become more popular due to their rarity. Naturally, the number of high-tier natural beauties remained limited, which was why Eastern Cloud Dragon was so obsessed with Zhao’er.
"Elder Brother, what should we do now?" Smiling Knife voiced the most practical question.
"Find White Shadow immediately."
"And if we can’t find it?"
"Kill our way through ourselves," Zhao’er thundered with resolve.
"Elder Brother, actually my dad has quite a few people who play this game. Especially after learning that the Three Major Alliances were planning to wage war in the game, he sent over two hundred skilled players on purpose."
Zhao’er nodded after hearing this. "We’ll split up and act. You go contact them, and then meet me at the foot of Tuli Mountain."
"Got it."
After Smiling Knife and Feng Yujian left, Zhao’er continued to move swiftly across the grassland. Along the way, he encountered many Wolf Kings, but they were all ordinary wolves—White Shadow was nowhere to be seen.
"I’ve found it!" someone suddenly shouted.
Dozens of people immediately dashed toward a certain location. Zhao’er stopped one of them and asked, "Brother, what’re you all doing?"
"We saw the King of the Prairie. We thought it had died with the Hungry Wolf, but never expected that guy to still be alive. Darling, its power is even stronger than before." The man finished speaking and hurriedly ran off with the crowd.
"White Shadow!" Zhao’er silently cried out in his heart. His feet took enormous strides as his body moved like a raging wind, charging toward the crowd.
"Roar!"
A sudden blast of violent wind erupted. Zhao’er could only see a mighty tornado appear not far away. Blood instantly drained halfway from numerous players, while others were sent directly to the Resurrection Point. Zhao’er didn’t draw too close, instead putting the Mysterious Iron Knife into the Spatial Bag before hoisting the enormous Ming Ye over his shoulder, standing on the periphery of the crowd.
"Howl—"
Zhao’er saw a white wolf shadow darting through the crowd. When he caught sight of White Shadow, it suddenly let out an earth-shaking howl. Immediately afterward, the entire grassland quaked violently. The air was filled with countless gray wolves chorusing their howls.
"Kill it! If we kill it, we’ll earn an enormous reward!"
A Samurai around Level 40 shouted in excitement, prepared to swing the Longsword in his hand. But just as he was about to strike, he realized his body was suddenly flying through the air—or no, his body was still standing on the ground. What flew was his head. In the last fleeting moment before being sent to the Resurrection Point, he saw a man glowing faintly blue.
"Whine!" White Shadow spotted Zhao’er and let out an enthusiastic cry, charging at him with lightning speed before leaping into his arms. The wolf stretched out its tongue and excitedly licked Zhao’er’s face. White Shadow had grown; it now had a physique as massive as a regular tiger.
"He... he’s actually hugging the King of the Prairie."
"Could he be..."
"The Hungry Wolf!" The crowd shouted in unison.
Zhao’er pointed Ming Ye at a well-dressed Samurai and sneered. "I’ve only been away for a few months, and now you all think you can ride roughshod over me?"
He deliberately released his killing intent, which, compounded by Ming Ye’s ominous energy, made Zhao’er appear like a God of Murder emerging from Hell itself.
"The Hungry Wolf has revived! Run for your lives!" The first cry erupted, quickly followed by the second and third, and in the blink of an eye, the crowd had scattered entirely.
"Whine." White Shadow gazed at Zhao’er like a wronged child. Zhao’er smiled and patted the wolf’s head, saying, "It’s all fine now. From now on, we torment others—no one dares to challenge us anymore. Come, I’ll take you to a place that’s truly fascinating. Bring your pack and follow me."
White Shadow understood Zhao’er’s words and howled to the heavens once again. Moments later, a massive pack of gray wolves surged in from every direction. Zhao’er nodded, his heart swelling with heroic pride as he led the pack toward Tuli Mountain. A grand spectacle unfolded across the grassland—under the watchful eyes of many, over ten thousand gray wolves followed a towering human figure marching forward.
Wherever the wolf pack and man passed, all animals fled in retreat, making way for them. Even the grassland lions, who typically preyed on gray wolves, cowered in the distance, trembling in fear.
The Hungry Wolf—this name once again shook the game world to its core.
