I Have A Baby From My Ex-Husband's Enemy-Chapter 147: Please, Give Me A Second Chance
On the other hand, Samuel continues to convince Megan that they can’t be together. He might just promise to take better care of Megan so that this doesn’t happen again.
It’s just that he has lost the trust of Sean, and if they continue this relationship, Sean will definitely not be happy, especially with Megan.
Samuel didn’t want Megan and Sean’s relationship to be damaged just because of their romance. That’s why he chose to give up, and asked Megan to accept that too.
"All of this is for your own good and also your relationship with Sean. He’s your brother and I don’t want you and Sean to have to fight just because of our relationship," he said as he took both of Megan’s hands to convince her to make the right choice.
But she shook her head, disagreeing with that.
"I know he’s my older brother, but I’m also a grown woman who can make my own choices. If he really loves me he should respect my choices," Megan said as she continued to choose to be the mobster’s girlfriend.
She knew the risks of their relationship from the start, which is why she was brave enough to accept it. She didn’t want to disappoint Vasco who had accepted her so well. Likewise, Dasha entrusted Samuel to her.
Megan felt she already had a connection with Samuel, and she only wanted him. She didn’t care anymore what risks she would run but she was confident that together with Samuel she could get through it.
"I will learn to do martial arts, I will also try to use weapons. I want to train myself to be worthy of bearing the name Lorenzo together with you. To be next to you and be your partner all the time," she said seriously.
The woman was determined to improve herself, to increase her ability to fit in with Samuel. She did this not only because she wanted to look decent and not embarrass him, but she believed it would also be useful for her in the future.
"Please Sam, please don’t give up on our relationship. I know this sounds stupid, but I don’t want it to end!"
Samuel pulled Megan into his arms as he rubbed her head.
"I don’t want us to split up either. I want to be with you and protect you, but sometimes there are boundaries that we might not be able to cross. Your relationship with Sean is much more important and more valuable because he is your family."
She didn’t say anything, but from her trembling body, Samuel could tell that she was crying in his arms. Crying silently, it made Samuel feel even sicker to imagine how Megan was holding back her tears.
"Hey don’t cry, I told you to never cry again but, why do you still do it?" He cupped both her cheeks while caressing gently with his thumbs.
"Your face gets uglier when you cry. Please don’t cry," he said again as he tried to smile at her.
She leaned closer to his touch, chuckling softly despite her tears. "As ugly as I am, I know you love me very much."
"Yes, and I recognize that even if you look even uglier." He kissed her forehead and nose, then hugged her back.
After almost 2 hours had passed, Sean and Odelia finally returned to the room where Megan was being treated. There was Megan sitting with Samuel, who turned to the two of them.
"Sean, I know you won’t be happy with my decision. But if you really respect me as your sister, I hope you respect my decision too," Megan said while looking at the man.
Samuel himself immediately stood up from his seat and approached Sean. He knew he had to take responsibility for this and say something to make Sean trust him again.
"I know I’ve broken your trust in me with this incident. I’m sure you’re angry and hate me for what happened but I want to ask you for a second chance to make things right," he told him seriously.
"I’m not asking this because I’m your wife’s younger brother, and I don’t mind if you want to beat me for this. But I want you to know that I can’t just let Megan go. I don’t want to part from someone who is precious to me," Samuel said, continuing his previous words.
He looked seriously at him, pleading with Sean to rethink his order to stay away from Megan.
Sean just stared silently at Samuel who was still looking at him, hoping that the man would forgive him. He even said that he would do anything to stay with Megan.
"Please Sean, please rethink your decision. Please think back for my sake, I’m not sure if I can find another man besides Sam. I feel tired of us every time I have to get acquainted with all the men and repeat the same thing," Megan begged him.
She was really tired when she had to repeatedly get acquainted with so many guys. Exchanging names, hobbies or whatever where she had to start over and over again because she never went on a second or third date with the guy.
Even with Henry, Megan had to beg Sean to give him a chance.
Now it was Odelia who took her husband’s hand, asking him to say what he had been thinking after calming down earlier.
Odelia was sure that Sean had made the right decision on this matter.
The man then walked over to Samuel, and stood in front of him. "You said that you would do anything to be with Megan, right?"
He nodded his head, saying he was ready to do anything to be with Megan even if it meant sacrificing his life.
"I will accept whatever terms you give me, in order for you to give me a second chance. I can’t stay away from her, so I’ll accept whatever terms you give me as long as you don’t ask us to separate," Samuel replied.
"Alright I will give you a second chance. But you must be able to answer this one question of mine. You must be able to answer it with a yes or no."
"What is it? Just tell me!"
Sean’s gray eyes stared deeply into Samuel’s brown eyes and he began to ask a question that was enough to make everyone, including Odelia gasp in shock when they heard it.
"Are you ready to leave your mafioso world behind to live a normal life with Megan?"
