Chapter 79: You are still alive?

Razeal just stood there, dumbstruck, his jaw practically unhinged as he stared at the scene before him. The earth in front of him had been cleaved apart no, obliterated. He couldn’t even gauge the depth of the gash nor the width of it. From his limited perspective, it looked like the old man had just slashed half the planet in two.

Even the sky wasn’t spared. High above, where clouds once lazily drifted, now a split ran clean through them. A visible tear in the heavens.

But just as he tried to process the destruction, something else caught his attention.

Golden green particles, tiny specks of shimmering light, began to appear. They danced through the air, surrounding the destroyed land, the sky, and even floated past his face. They were so vivid and so numerous that the whole world suddenly looked like it was glowing, basked in a divine aurora.

Razeal instinctively closed his eyes; the light was intense, almost too beautiful to bear. And then he noticed something else the ground was... healing?

The impossibly deep gash in the ground? It was filling back up identical sand, soil, and rock forming out of nowhere, layering into the destroyed space as if the world was stitching itself back together. Even the bamboo trees were returning, regrowing in fast-forward. The grass reappeared, emerald and vibrant.

Everything... was being restored.

"System... what’s happening?" Razeal asked, barely able to breathe the words. "This isn’t part of the old man’s skill, is it?"

This scene looked Like as if someone had turned back the time. And also

He wasn’t even sure why he was asking that. Restoration? Turning back time? It sounded ridiculous but after seeing someone slash using the rotation of a planet, he wasn’t putting anything past this geezer.

[No, host. This is not a result of the old man’s skill. What you are witnessing is the automatic restoration of the system space. Damage here is not permanent.]

"...Oh." Razeal nodded slowly, though the awe hadn’t faded from his eyes. It did make sense, in a terrifying way. If monsters like this were just swinging around casually, a training ground would probably be reduced to ash with every sparring session. Of course there had to be some kind of recovery function.

But another question still gnawed at him.

"System... did that old man use magic?" Razeal asked, more softly this time, his brows furrowed. "Does he have any kind of energy inside him? Like mana or aura or whatever?" frёewebnoѵēl.com

[No, Host. He has neither.]

[He is not a swordsman. He is a villain class combatant with no elemental affinity. What he used was not magic. It was pure physical flow.]

[His ability is categorized as a physical technique totally and definitely not one fueled by internal energy.]

"I see..." Razeal nodded again, still amazed. But then something clicked. A contradiction in his mind suddenly resurfaced.

"Wait didn’t you say magic is superior?" he asked quickly. "You said physical skills are fine and all, but they’ll never match high-tier magic. But this guy he just used a planet’s rotation force like it was nothing. If this is just a physical skill, what the hell is ’superior’ to that?"

The system responded calmly, as if expecting this question.

[Host, that is correct. Magic is generally superior because it allows control over reality through laws beyond natural physics. However, what the old man demonstrated was not ’mere’ physical power. Yes, he used his body as the core for action, but the energy behind the strike did not originate from him.]

Razeal squinted. "What do you mean?"

[Host, it’s not purely physical.]

[Yes, the old man centered his technique entirely on physics using nothing but his body and flow but it can’t be classified as purely physical either.]

[Why? Because that energy he wielded... wasn’t his.]

[No individual human, with a body this small, can contain or produce such colossal energy. That’s simply a fundamental truth.]

[Yes, there are beings in existence who can produce that kind of destructive force but their mass and size are proportionate to their power. For example, a being would need to be at least 1/8677th the size of a planet to unleash that level of force using its own body alone.]

[But this old man? His body mass doesn’t even come close to that.]

[Some universal laws simply can’t be broken, Host. That’s why the only explanation is this he didn’t create that power. He borrowed it.]

Razeal listened.

[Think of it like this,] the system continued. [Imagine You’re a human. Let’s say you ride on a vehicle going 400 kilometers per hour. Even if you don’t throw a punch, even if you simply extend your arm outward while passing a target if that arm hits something, the impact will be devastating. Far beyond what your normal body could generate.]

[That’s what he did.]

[He didn’t generate that energy. He simply flowed with it.]

Razeal blinked, the pieces beginning to connect.

[The reason this power is still considered physical is because he didn’t use any foreign medium no mana, no qi, no spirit energy. Just flow. Just momentum.]

"...So that slash... wasn’t his strength?"

[No. It was the world’s. He simply learned how to ride it.]

Razeal rubbed his chin, visibly intrigued. "Very interesting concept, I must say..."

Still processing the magnitude of what he’d witnessed, a question tugged at the back of his mind.

"Did he use all his power, System?" he asked, just curious maybe even a bit hopeful that was the limit.

[Not even close, Host. That was just planetary. Well... you’ll understand it yourself.]

At that, Razeal shut his mouth. He didn’t even know how to respond anymore. But yeah... this was bullshit on another level entirely.

And yet, it was finally starting to make sense. The last few encounters with these SSS-ranked monsters had dulled his sense of awe. He’d begun treating them like not so big shots, even toying with them inside this death-immune system space. Just minutes ago, he’d managed to completely toy with one of them someone of the same rank as this old man.

But after seeing this?

No.

Now he understood.

He had been dancing on the edge of existence, taunting gods while thinking himself invincible just because he couldn’t die here. But that invulnerability was a simulation, a safe box with infinite retries while they? They were walking disasters.

But now?

Now that he’d seen what a real attack looked like... what a true SSS-ranked being could do...

He felt his perspective tilting.

He blinked, staring into the distance where the land had been cleaved apart and then effortlessly restored, and muttered to himself, Maybe these guys do deserve some respect after all.

And with that realization, a new, much darker thought crept into his mind like a cold wind brushing down his spine.

If SSS-ranked villains are this powerful... just how absurd must the EX-ranked ones be?

He swallowed hard, his mind struggling to even comprehend what kind of nonsense power lay at the next tier. What comes after witnessing someone use the planet’s as there own powers? What comes next?

"...Whew," he exhaled, shaking his head slowly as if to knock away the fog of disbelief. "Seems like I underestimated this system function strength again."

What once looked like an average simulator this training function was proving itself more and more nonsensical with every minute. At first, it felt like just a glorified death loop machine. But now? He himself doesn’t know what the fuck is happening.

Maybe I’m just scratching the surface even now.. Who Knows what thing’s More to discover, Razeal thought, swallowing the lump in his throat.

With a slow breath, he forced his attention back to the present, remembering he was in the middle of a lesson. The sheer scale of what just happened had almost made him forget.

Lifting his head, he scanned the sky, then the horizon. The world around had already returned to normal. The destruction no, the cataclysm that had erupted moments ago, was now wiped away. The clouds above floated peacefully, untouched. The bamboo forest that had once been obliterated now stood tall again, as if time itself had turned back.

His gaze shifted, finally landing where it needed to.

There still standing exactly where he had been was the old man.

The sword had vanished from his hands. Not a scratch marked his skin. He wasn’t panting or even shaking. The only thing he did was slowly rotate his shoulder in small circles.

"I’m really getting old," the man muttered, cracking his shoulder like he’d just finished some casual backyard gardening.

Razeal, who had fully expected to see blood, broken bones, or at least some indication that something had been sacrificed for that ungodly attack, could only twitch his lips.

This geezer just used a planetary force to split reality... and now he’s acting like he just got up from a nap?

Unbelievable.

"Oh, you’re still alive, boy?" the old man suddenly said, his head turning as if he’d just remembered Razeal existed. He raised an eyebrow with a comically surprised expression. "Well, that’s a shocker."

Umm .. Senior..
