Chapter 1457: Chapter 349: Prison Break—He’s Trying to Escape, My Report Earned Merit

"A bunch of idiots, still thinking about being locked up for reformation. I have to break out of here. How could anyone prefer this over living freely outside?"

Lv Xian muttered to himself, then slipped through the iron bars and into the corridor.

The bald guy lying on the bed also opened his eyes. Seeing Lv Xian quietly slipping away, he hastily jumped up from the bed and banged on the bars, making a loud clatter, while tearing his throat out with heart-wrenching screams.

"Warden! Someone’s trying to break out!"

"Warden! There’s a prison break!"

The heart-piercing screams were particularly jarring in the silent corridor. Other prisoners were awakened and, upon hearing someone was breaking out, they started yelling too.

"Shit..."

Lv Xian, just stepping forward, was utterly dumbfounded and turned back angrily at the bald guy, "Shut the fuck up!"

He never expected his former lackey to betray him.

The bald guy was not afraid of Lv Xian’s intimidation at all and continued to scream heart-wrenchingly.

Just as Lv Xian was about to rush over and punch the bald guy senseless, a distant thud of footsteps echoed, accompanied by a low and angry voice.

"Since I took charge of the prison, no prisoner has dared attempt a breakout. You’re bold, you’ve set a precedent."

A shadow gradually enveloped the corridor.

It was Zhou Yang clenching his fists, storming toward Lv Xian.

He was truly enraged now. Someone actually was trying to escape; if Lin Fan found out, wouldn’t that call his management skills into question?

"Warden, he’s trying to break out, I discovered it." The bald guy eagerly claimed credit.

"Yeah, we’ll talk later."

Zhou Yang said in a deep voice.

After receiving the warden’s approval, the bald guy felt like he’d accomplished something great, feeling especially good and elated.

Lv Xian, relying on his higher awakening phase, wasn’t particularly scared of Zhou Yang, "Warden, I, Lv Xian, don’t want to stay in prison, or the Sunshine Shelter. I don’t want to fight you. Can you let me leave?"

He feared making a commotion that would attract Lin Fan’s attention. If that happened, he’d really be screwed.

For this, he just hoped the other side would show some leniency.

Let him go.

"Bullshit, damn it, since I became the warden, only those who have reformed well can leave; nobody unreformed can. Now squat down, hands on your head, and be obedient."

Zhou Yang scolded angrily, knowing this wasn’t a simple matter. Escaping was a serious crime; even being detained three to five more years for this wouldn’t seem too much.

"You’re really not giving me a chance?"

Lv Xian frowned, watching Zhou Yang closely. If they were to fight, it had to be settled quickly. But he only wanted to knock him out; he dared not kill, for that would surely lead to a very tragic end.

"Squat down." Zhou Yang yelled angrily.

Lv Xian knew calmly discussing it was impossible, so he stomped his right foot on the ground, and with a bang, he charged at Zhou Yang like a famished wolf.

"Bro, sorry about this."

He swung his fist, hoping to knock Zhou Yang out, but who would have thought Zhou Yang wasn’t afraid at all, and swung a punch himself. With a bang, their fists collided, and the resulting force gave the surrounding prisoners a palpable shock.

Lv Xian staggered back several steps before barely managing to stabilize himself, his right hand trembling slightly; he could feel the weighty explosive power from Zhou Yang during their exchange.

Without another word, Zhou Yang charged forward, sweeping his leg across Lv Xian’s waist. Lv Xian blocked with his arm, but the immense force drove him crashing into the corridor wall, denting the metal wall inward.

"You think your abilities outside have increased that much? Do you know the crystals we consume at the Sunshine Shelter are beyond anything you could imagine in your life?"

Zhou Yang scolded angrily, continuing to lash his legs out at Lv Xian. The relentless power strikes left Lv Xian feeling hopeless. How could this be so terrifying?

The dent from Lv Xian’s collision grew larger, nearly engulfing half his body, while his arm, raised to block Zhou Yang’s kick, started to deform.

"Stop, stop... no more."

Lv Xian began to plead.

Zhou Yang let out a furious roar, unleashing his most powerful leg sweep. With a bang, Lv Bu’s arm bent and broke, and the resulting force caused cracks to appear in the corridor’s metal wall, spreading as if the corridor itself would collapse.

"Break out? I’ll give you a breakout."

Zhou Yang grabbed Lv Xian’s head and punched him in the abdomen. With a boom, the force hurled Lv Xian backward, slamming him into the far wall of the corridor.

The wall also dented, making the whole prison seem to shake a bit.

The nearby prisoners gaped in shock, trembling uncontrollably, the ferocity of the warden etched deeply into their minds like a nightmare they couldn’t shake off.

Zhou Yang approached Lv Xian slowly, grabbed his foot, and dragged him toward the exit. Upon passing Lv Xian’s former cell, he paused, looked at the bald guy.

"You did well. Reporting it was the right thing; I’ll remember this. Reform well and you’ll get out sooner."

"Yes, Warden, I’ll definitely reform."

The bald guy stood straight, respectfully speaking.

Zhou Yang nodded in satisfaction.

Then he dragged the limp, dog-like Lv Xian outside.

All the prisoners watched in fear.

The impact on their psyches was enormous.

Truly terrifying.
