I Don't Need To Log Out-Chapter 223: The Road Ahead
After emptying the entire treasury, Arlon, Agema, and June stepped out of the ruined cathedral.
The night air was cool, a stark contrast to the intensity of battle and the eerie stillness of the treasury.
For the first time in a while, they had no clear destination.
Arlon slowed his pace, deep in thought.
He could go ahead and hunt down four of the remaining five Demons.
But there was no point.
Even if he killed them all, he wouldn’t reach level 200.
And the fifth Demon—the strongest of them all—was not someone he wanted to fight just yet.
Arlon needed to be at his peak before taking on that monster. It was too risky otherwise.
It would be far better to reach level 200 first.
But how?
Killing the four weaker Demons would certainly help.
However, in the last three months, Arlon had talked to Agema about what Kalmer had told him.
And Agema had confirmed it.
Which meant his plans were no longer limited to Trion.
There were bigger things ahead.
Things that required him to think beyond just killing Demons for EXP.
So, instead of chasing those four remaining Demons, he decided to leave them to the other players.
It was a gamble.
The current top players weren’t strong enough to defeat them without suffering losses.
But Arlon would wait and see what happened.
If the players managed to level up quickly and take care of the Demons themselves, that would be ideal.
If the Demons attacked first, then Arlon would handle them.
Either way, he had the advantage.
With his unlimited teleportation, almost all of Trion was within reach—as close as a finger snap.
However, this also meant that when June turned to him and asked, "So… where are we headed now?"
Arlon had no answer.
He simply stared ahead, his mind running through options but finding none that truly mattered right now.
Before he could respond, Agema suddenly clapped her hands together.
"Oh, don’t worry about that! I know just the place where you can level up."
Arlon raised an eyebrow. "Really? There shouldn’t be any Keldars strong enough to give us experience points."
Agema grinned, a mischievous gleam in her honey-colored eyes. "Who said anything about Keldars?"
Arlon narrowed his gaze. "Then… what exactly are we fighting?"
Agema winked playfully. "You’ll see soon enough."
June let out a sigh, already sensing trouble. "That doesn’t sound comforting."
But it was too late to back out now.
With no other immediate goal, they followed Agema’s lead—or they planned to.
It was time for June to log out, so they had to wait another day before they could continue.
---
The morning sun cast a warm glow over the grassy plains as the four members of the Gamers Guild walked side by side, their boots crunching against the dew-covered earth.
It was a peaceful morning—one of the few they got to enjoy between endless battles and training.
And yet, instead of discussing battle strategies or tactics, their conversation had drifted to something far more amusing.
Or rather—someone.
"Well, well," Zack said with a smirk, stretching his arms behind his head. "Looks like our missing duo finally remembered we exist."
Pierre let out a deep chuckle, his heavy armor shifting as he walked. "Took them long enough. We finally got a response in the group chat."
Carole shook her head with a mock sigh, adjusting the priest staff on her back. "I swear, it’s like they vanished off the face of Trion. No messages, no updates—just complete radio silence."
Lei, who had been walking at the front, glanced back. "I mean, technically, that’s exactly what happened. They were on closed training for three months."
Zack made an exaggerated groan. "Okay, but June logs out. She could’ve answered something."
"Maybe she didn’t want to," Pierre pointed out. "If they were training in secret, she probably didn’t want any distractions."
"Fair," Zack admitted. "But still, they could’ve at least thrown us a ’we’re still alive’ message once in a while."
Carole laughed. "You say that, but you were the one spamming the chat the most."
Zack grinned. "What can I say? Someone had to keep the group active."
Truth be told, their group chat had been rather one-sided for the past few months.
While the other players had continued chatting and keeping each other updated, Arlon and June had been completely absent.
Even though June logged out and lived normally outside of Trion, she never mentioned anything about what they were doing when she was logged in.
She had ignored all questions about training, their location, or their progress.

And Arlon?
Well, Arlon was Arlon. No one expected him to respond in the first place.
But now, for the first time in three months, they had finally seen both Arlon and June answer their messages.
That meant one thing.
They were back in action.
As their conversation continued, the topic naturally shifted.
"Well, we weren’t just sitting around waiting for them," Pierre said, crossing his arms. "We did kill a Demon, after all."
Zack grinned. "Damn right, we did! That was some insane teamwork, huh?"
"If by ’insane teamwork’ you mean you almost got yourself killed three times, then yes," Lei said flatly.
Zack waved a hand dismissively. "Okay, but I didn’t die, so it worked out!"
"That’s because Carole was keeping you alive," Pierre muttered.
Carole sighed dramatically. "As usual. Honestly, I should start charging extra every time I have to save you from your own stupidity."
Zack clutched his chest in mock pain. "Come on, you love healing me."
"No, I really don’t."
Lei rolled her eyes. "Anyway, it was a clean kill. We took down a Demon without losing a single party member. That’s what matters."
Despite their playful banter, it had been a huge achievement.
Demons were not easy to kill.
And yet, despite their smaller numbers, they had managed to take one down.
It was proof of how much they had grown.
Carole glanced at the sky, then at her party. "I wonder when we’ll run into them again."
Pierre hummed in thought. "June will probably reach out first. She’s the type to check in after a while."
"Arlon won’t." Zack snorted. "He’ll just show up randomly one day like nothing happened."
Lei, however, shook her head. "I don’t think we’ll be seeing them for a while."
The group turned to her.
"Why not?" Carole asked.
Lei adjusted the grip on her bastard sword. "I just have a feeling. If they were training for three months straight, then they must have something big planned. They won’t stop now just to meet up with us."
Zack groaned. "So you’re saying we’ll have to wait even longer to fight Arlon again?"
Pierre chuckled. "You just want revenge after he embarrassed you in the tournament."
Zack pointed dramatically at him. "And you don’t?"
Pierre shrugged. "Of course I don’t. I know my limit."
Zack grumbled. "Limits are overrated."
Carole giggled. "Then keep leveling up, Zack. That’s the only way you’ll stand a chance next time."
Speaking of leveling up, their progress over the past three months was nothing to scoff at.
"We’ve all broken past 130," Pierre pointed out. "That’s solid progress."
Carole smiled. "I’m actually level 136 now."
"Figures. You’re the highest after all," Zack muttered.
Carole’s change wasn’t limited to determination. She was now the fourth on the leaderboard, coming after Arlon, June, and Evan.
Lei shrugged. "I’m 134. Nothing special."
Pierre smirked. "135."
Zack sighed, scratching the back of his head. "132… Damn it, I really am the lowest, huh?"
Carole patted his shoulder reassuringly. "Don’t worry. As long as you don’t die stupidly, you’ll catch up."
Zack frowned. "Why do you say that like it’s a real possibility?"
Lei and Pierre simply stared at him.
Zack groaned. "Ugh, whatever. Let’s just keep moving."
And with that, the Gamers Guild continued on their way, heading toward their next battlefield.
They didn’t know when they’d meet Arlon and June again.
But whenever that day came—
They would be stronger.
