I Can Program My Body?-Chapter 574: Universal Scale Cosmic Competition
"We’re not alone? What do you mean?" Nash asked, a faint unease creeping in.
"We discovered that this Cosmic Competition didn’t only include us from the Chronos Empire. It includes every other Galactic Territory."
"What?! Every Galactic Territory? Where did you hear that?"
If every galactic territory had been thrown into this fray, the difficulty had just shot up from hell to something beyond it.
This was no longer an internal competition. It was an all-out war.
"We managed to connect with a team from another galactic territory and learned that this was a Universal level Cosmic Competition."
"Not only is every other galactic territory in the mix, the place we’re in is the size of a galactic territory."
"This—"
Hearing Torr’s words, Nash was dumbfounded.
A wild galactic territory? How vast must it have been?
And instead of competing only against the talents of the Chronos Empire, they were now up against every talent in the universe?
Thinking back to all the strange details leading up to the final stage, everything suddenly made sense.
The true nature of this Cosmic Competition shouldn’t have been known by many.
Otherwise, Lilliana from the Xenus Domain would have prepared far more.
No, if the top powerhouses had known they were competing for a wild galactic territory, they might have gone mad and poured in everything they had.
Which meant this was something only the Chronos Emperor had known.
The question now was how teams from other galactic empires already knew the details.
And if they knew, had they come fully prepared?
Although the quota for tier 8 and tier 7 powerhouses and technology was limited, there was no such restriction on treasures and materials.
If a team had been armed with a complete set of tier 8 treasures, they would be a nearly unstoppable force.
With enough tier 8 materials and talented scientists, building a fleet of tier 8 battleships was also within reach.
Thinking through all the possibilities this new revelation brought, Nash felt a weight settle in his chest.
Now, besides the Chronos Saint, he had to worry about those well-resourced and well-prepared teams from across the universe.
"Nash, what do we do now? I can only reach Tiatha on my end. It seems everyone else is out of range."
"If you can, bring Tiatha and head to my location."
"Come to your place? Why?"
"I found a Sun Star Void. It should be enough to sustain us."
With all the other galactic territories now in play, Nash wanted to gather every allied team he could.
If he could pull all the Xenus Alliance members under one roof, his confidence would be far greater.
"A Sun Star Void?! That’s insane luck!"
"I suppose. Since this is a wild galactic territory, the resources are naturally more abundant." Nash muttered with a wry smile.
Earlier, he had thought he was fortunate to find such a legendary star near their territory.
Now it seemed it was simply a matter of where they had landed.
"Fair enough. Although not quite as lucky as you, we also found large-scale void mineral planets. It should be enough to activate the portable teleportation station." Torr muttered, making up his mind to head Nash’s way.
He had initially been shaken by the mix added to the Cosmic Competition.
But with the Sun Star Void Nash had found, they might just be able to pull off something extraordinary.
"Sure. I’ll be waiting. And if you can, try to get more details about the changes to the Cosmic Competition."
Though Nash didn’t know why the Chronos Emperor had hidden those changes, there was nothing he could do about that now.
What mattered was learning as much as possible from the other teams.
"Hmm, we managed to connect with the Ents Race. As long as we provide enough plants and herbs, they should be willing to answer a few questions." Torr reassured.
The Ents were a peaceful race of sentient plant-beings.
They could coexist with almost anyone, which made them friends and allies of many races across the universe.
As long as they were given land and planets to grow, they didn’t mind who they lived alongside.
"Good. I’ll wait for your news."
Ending the call with Torr, Nash felt his mind buzzing.
Everything he had planned and prepared before needed to be scrapped and rebuilt from scratch.
Instead of rivals, the cosmic teams from the Chronos Empire might now be his closest allies.
"Huh~ What a headache..."
Nash had to figure out whether any other cosmic teams were near their territory, especially near the Sun Star Void.
With something that legendary sitting out in the open, they surely weren’t the only ones who had found it.
Unable to do anything more at the moment, Nash could only move step by step.
---
A few days later, after building enough runic servers, Nash called for Camilla and the others aboard the Void Pulse.
While waiting for them to return, he turned his mind to the various measures they’d need to secure the Sun Star Void.
As the hours passed and his thoughts deepened, his personal battleship finally arrived.
"You’re back fast." Nash muttered in surprise.
"Atom’s gotten faster and faster. It seemed he already memorized the route."
While the Void Pulse could accelerate indefinitely, it also depended on the pilot on how much speed they could handle and control.
Having already mapped the area around the Star Alliance Territory, it was no wonder Atom had shaved off the travel time.
"Good. Then let’s head back to the Sun Star Void area."
"Roger that, Master!"
With the order given, Atom began to accelerate, pushing the Void Pulse toward the target.
Along the way, Nash asked Elizabeth for another blessing.
Although the blessing had no natural expiration, it was still consumable.
The one she had given him when he found the Sun Star Void had already dissipated.
"What are you looking for this time? Isn’t the Sun Star Void already taken care of?" Elizabeth asked, puzzled.
"No. This time, we’re looking for other cosmic teams." Nash said flatly.
He had already claimed the Sun Star Void for the Star Alliance.
Any other team that dared reach for it could either submit or die.
