Sinner System-Chapter 529: Final Dungeon - Fifth Floor (Part 1)
As the energy took form, morphing into the shape of the original with a dark glow around it, the former Sentinel kneeled down before me, bowing her head as a screen appeared before me, displaying:

<Please Designate a Name>
"From now on, you’ll be known as Avaritia," I remarked, before she lifted her head and met my gaze.
"<Yes, I understand, Master>," She nodded in response, right as we got teleported up to the next floor.
<Hidden Skill: Subjugate Locked>
Okay, Ai...explain what just happened. I didn’t do a thing, it was all Aria, so how did Subjugate unlock?
<Well, it seems the dense Mana concentration of the Final Dungeon ended up strengthening your link with Ariella>
<As a result, she can somewhat hear me even without direct physical contact with you, within about a fifty meter range>
<Additionally, with the link strengthened, she can now summon the Apostles too>
Woah, for real? That’s awesome!
"You catch that?" I asked Aria, who had a bemused look on her face.
"Yeah, I heard. Wasn’t expecting this turn of events, but I’m definitely not complaining," She replied wryly, as the others gathered around us.
"That was amazing, Ariella, easily the most one-sided battle in our favor against the Sentinels!" Exclaimed Cleo excitedly, a bright gleam in her eyes.
"As far as Power Level goes, it didn’t look like your Aura spiked that much, the Sentinel’s Aura was still slightly stronger, but I could barely keep up with your speed," Added Jaden in fascination.
"Well, because I’m constantly using bursts of heat to boost my speed while at my full power," She informed him.
"And how were you able to shoot out flames? That shouldn’t be possible for a Combatant," Chimed in Aarav.
"Yeah, that is usually the case, but when I use Blaze Ignition: Supernova, I have complete and absolute control over my flames," She explained with a smile.
"The shimmer around you made it extra hard to follow your movements, it’s like you were leaving a trail of mirage-like afterimages with every move," Spoke up Ciel, an intrigued look on her face.
"Mhm, the heat I generate is pretty intense, it was a bit hard to move freely because the sand below my feet kept melting."
As the others continued to question Aria about her newly mastered power boost, the Apostles gathered around the newest addition to their ranks.
"<I know we were enemies just a moment ago, but I hope you can put that behind us and get along>," Smiled Superbia in a friendly tone.
"<Yes, of course. If that is what Master desires>," Avaritia nodded, before glancing at me.
"Yup, play nice with the others. And, I can assure you of this...if you help us conquer this Dungeon and win this war, I’ll do what I can to grant your desire of experiencing everything this world has to offer," I replied with a smile.
"<Understood. In that case, I shall do my utmost to meet your expectations, Master>."
"<Hm...I don’t like it. Calling you Master is my thing. Alright, in that case...can I have permission to call you Daddy from now on>?" Luxuria asked me.
Huh?
"Hey," Interjected Aria with a frown.
"Yeah, that’s a bit much," I added with a wry smile.
"<Fine, then, how about-...no, I’m sorry, but now that I’ve said it, I’ve really got my heart set on Daddy>!"
"Wow," Blurted out Cleo in bemusement.
"Ugh, I’m not particularly thrilled about it, but I suppose it’s harmless enough," Muttered Aria hesitantly, Luxuria perking up in response.
"I don’t-...alright, fine, I’ll okay it for now," I relented reluctantly.
"<Yay! Thanks, Daddy>!"
Hm. Yeah, I’m already starting to regret this.
"Anyway, moving on from that...looks like we’re in for another floor with tough terrain," I remarked as I glanced around.
It’s a swamp terrain, and much worse than the one a couple of floors below. The toxicity doesn’t look as intense, but there’s a lot more water, with murky ponds and streams scattered all around us.
The ground with slick and muddy, and there was an unpleasant earthy stench in the air, permeating the space.
"Yeah, this isn’t great," Nodded Jaden with a grimace.
"Hey, Avaritia, any idea what species of Monsters are up here?" I asked her.
"<Hm, based on these scents...>...," She mused, sniffing around before adding, "<The Sentinel on this floor is Medusa, the Serpent Queen. I believe she evolved from a...Basilisk, I think it’s called>."
Medusa, huh? I don’t know what era Vaszel lived in when he was a human, but evidently, he was born after whenever the story of Medusa was written.
A fitting name for a Monster evolved from a Basilisk, this Sentinel likely possesses a petrifying ability. Probably poison too.
"Then, we’re probably looking at Hypnoserpents and Basilisks on this floor," Responded Aarav warily.
"Hm...would you be able to lead us straight to this Medusa, Avaritia?" I inquired hopefully.
"<Yes, a simple matter, I should have no trouble tracking her scent>," She nodded affirmatively.
"Awesome, that should save us a good amount of time. Focus on tracking her scent and lead the way. We’ll cover you," I replied, before adding as I addressed the other Apostles, "As for you guys, let’s shift back to our previous strategy, form a ring around the party and cut down any Monsters we come across along the way."
We should be able to progress a lot faster now, especially considering that this floor should be smaller than the previous one.
This is the fifth floor of the Final Dungeon, we’ve conquered half the floors. Three more Sentinels to go, and then, we’ll reach the Demon Lord...
"<Got it, Boss>!"
"<We’ll have to stay extra sharp. Particularly against Basilisks, we can’t give them a chance to attack>," Mused Superbia prudently.
"<I suppose we don’t have much of a choice, this is wearing me out>." 𝒇𝒓𝙚𝒆𝔀𝓮𝓫𝒏𝓸𝙫𝓮𝓵.𝓬𝙤𝙢
"<Proceed without concern, Chief, we won’t let so much as a single Monster slip past us>," Added Ira confidently.
"<Mhm, you can count on us, Daddy>!" Grinned Luxuria cheerfully.
Yeah, definitely regretting it.
