I can expand my MAGIC ENDLESSLY?!-Chapter 23: Valeria Nozvan!!
"Fuck! We’re dead! Dead!" he shouted, heart hammering in his chest. He knows Valeria Nozvan was strong! But he also knows she wasn’t strong enough to defeat something like that!
"Quick! Someone tell Lord Zaroth! He has to do something! We’ll die if he doesn’t!"
But Lucian didn’t flinch, nor did he react as the guild leader wanted him to. He gazed towards the daunting beast. This was it. He can’t hide his powers any longer. It’s unlikely for his father-in-law to come forward and help them. He has to fight seriously to take down something like that, even him at the beginning phase of the fifth circle.
Just when he was about to unleash his powers, something caught his attention. His gaze fell on the gates. Valeria stood there. A calm, reassuring smile on her face. Red flames gradually building up, enveloping her whole body.
Valaria didn’t speak, only smiled, before her gaze darted towards the wyvern.
Without saying anything, she walked forward, holding her fencer in hand. Aura gradually intensified as he walked forward.
The Wyvern is also sensing the strong human slowly walking towards it. Letting out another roar, it slowly descended, crushing a few unfortunate beasts to death.
Low-ranking beasts sensing the danger scattered in all directions. From the front came a terrifying pressure, and from the back loomed an even more dreadful presence.
"No, no! What is she doing? We need Sir Zaroth to handle that thing!" the Guildmaster shouted.
Hearing the words, Lucian folded his arms and began to speak. "She has long unlocked her Bl*##l*#3 L#6k."
Instantly the guildmaster’s head snapped back at Lucian, in disbelief he uttered.
"You mean, she already?!"
Lucian nodded with a proud smile, his eyes fixed on his wife as she strode forward without any hint of fear.
The soldiers and the Artelarist looked on in confusion the word meant nothing to them. They could only watch as their lord walked forward, her flames growing fiercer with each passing second.
To others it seemed like raging flames dancing with the gentle wind, but in the eyes of guild masters and a few others, the raging flames were far from being wild. Each flickering wave was slowly taking the shape of feathers.
Lucian ignored it, as it was already a given they won’t be able to understand it. It wasn’t because they are incapable of understanding it. Rather, the world itself chooses to hide it from them.
Instantly, Valeria’s flames intensified more as she headed towards the beast. But to the selective few, the scene looked entirely different. The fire twisted and flowed as she zigzagged left and right, not like a raging ball of fire but rather like a flaming bird diving forward at terrifying speed.
It was the power of those who carry the blood.
A noble. What Lucian said wasn’t just some gibberish word, rather it was something only nobles themselves can understand.
The words were ’BloodlineLock.’’
Every noble house carries a unique Bloodline Lock, a power that one gradually unlocks, gaining abilities tied to that house’s bloodline. This power has long been hidden by the world itself. Any related information, whether in the form of sound, letters, or images, becomes meaningless to commoners. Words lose their sense, letters they understand turn into nonsense the moment anything related is mentioned. No one knows exactly why, but everyone knows if anything could do this, it must be the world they reside in.
Valeria rushed forward, and the beast roared, glaring at her. Its neck began to glow, then it unleashed a torrent of flames in a blinding surge.
Valeria responded instantly, leaping impossibly high, reaching the clouds that cradled the moon, and becoming a second moon in the sky, with raging flames.
But to the selective few, those who carried even a trace of noble bloodline. They saw far more than just a ball of fire.
The raging flames weren’t just flames anymore, they had turned into wings of fire, like that of a phoenix. Letters of crimson appeared right above.
"Valeria Nozvan
The Falcon Bloodline
Stage: Materialization"
Time seemed to hold its breath as she spun upside down, her flaming wings folding back as she fell, hidden from the unworthy.
The Wyvern glared at her in fury, its jaws wide open, flames swirling around its mouth before it flapped its wings, lunging upward towards the sky, towards her!.
Valeria’s eyes met its gaze nonchalantly, but in the next instant, her pupils dilated, turning from red to black.
Her wings snapped back instantly, and she dove down just like a comet. Taking the form of their household, Ignasia split the flame gulped out by the wyvern colliding head-on at the next moment.
In that moment, no one could see what had happened; the clash was too fast. Dust engulfed the entire area instantly, and the shockwave that followed knocked several Nozvan knights off their feet.
Time seemed to hold its breath. Dust slowly drifted away, and the flames within dimmed. Darkness hung over the battlefield, leaving everyone uncertain of what had happened or who won.
Lucian smiled, turning to the Guildmaster. "It seems we didn’t need the mercenaries after all."
The guildmaster swallowed hard, glancing again at the dispersing dust. Slowly, a figure emerged, dragging the massive head of the wyvern. Its eyes were wide, as if it still couldn’t comprehend how it had died.
The figure was Valeria Nozvan. A few small cuts marked her skin. it. But no one cared, such injuries were nothing compared to the thing she just did!. She, a Fourth Circle noble, had slain a Fifth Circle beast in mere seconds.
One of the Nozvan knights, overwhelmed with awe, started shouting.
"All... all hail Lady Valeria!"
"All... all hail Lady Valeria!"
The shout was repeated again and again until a chorus of cheers erupted, filling the air. Lucian smiled at it.
Meanwhile, at the corner of the city walls, a cloaked figure wearing a white mask watched it all. Shock was etched across his face. He muttered in disbelief, "How?!"
He couldn’t comprehend the strange letters or the flames shaping so unnaturally like that? Was that magic or something else entirely new?!.
But despite all this, he did realize one thing, only one single thing.
The power dynamic he had believed in shattered completely. In that instant, he realized it wasn’t his father who was the strongest, it was infact his mother, Valeria Nozvan.
