I can expand my MAGIC ENDLESSLY?!-Chapter 16: Unknown guest
At the current age of time. Having aura by the end of age 20 is already considered a genius. But Kairos has far surpassed them by many years.
The young man training also completed his zeroth circle.
Still, despite that... The man frowned, seeing the eyes of this child that was yearning for strength. As if the achievements he already has achieved aren’t enough. 𝘧𝓇ℯ𝑒𝓌𝑒𝑏𝓃𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘭.𝒸ℴ𝓂
Kairos gritted his teeth in annoyance with all his might as the third phase started. Destroying another row of arrows.
"This isn’t enough... I need more speed!" Kairos complained in his mind and pushed his body even more.
A one-handed sword is what he used in his last life till the very day he died. Focusing on speed and accuracy. But now in this life, Speed isn’t the only thing he needs! He needs the crushing force at the same time speed!.
His sword sliced through the air, deflecting three arrows in quick succession. As his speed continually started increasing, it already surpassed Aura, that of a second star.
Making the man become more serious. The same unknown scene was folding before him that he has seen a couple of times already.
Kairos’s aura intensified at specific areas, increasing his speed and strength by at least onefold.
Kairos in his mercenary days was considered one of the strongest aura users, despite not having a complete mana circle.
It wasn’t because he worked hard or had talent for aura. The reason was Golem’s Aura, a mysterious technique he nearly died mastering during a mission.
This was the extraordinary technique that Kairos had discovered, making him one of the strongest aura users.
The Golem’s Aura technique, originally designed for golems to utilize the blood essence of monsters, allowed him to channel aura through his veins at breakneck speed, spinning it into knots at his joints and fingertips to amplify his strength and precision.
In his past life, he had taken this further, crafting One Cut Swordsmanship, a technique that harnessed the explosive power of Golem’s Aura to deliver a single, unstoppable strike.
His core pulsed continuously as red energy escaped from within, flowing through his veins at rapid speed, crashing from here to there as it proceeded before stopping at the designated spots, spinning rapidly at the knots located at the joints of his hands and the tips of his fingers, before being unleashed as he swings the sword.
Woosh! Clank!
The arrows shattered against his sword, but a sense of impatience gnawed at him. His aura flared brighter, casting an eerie red glow across the room.
But his mind was elsewhere.
"This isn’t enough," he growled to himself.
He had to stop the war between Velmor and Valdas foremost.
And to stop that civil war, he had to protect the prince from dying.
Swing!!
He couldn’t leave his home. But he did what he could by gathering every bit of information to change that fate.
Swing!!
With the last swing destroying the last arrow. His core flared up, and the intensity of his aura increased by one time, indicating his aura has been refined more and he has reached the 2nd star.
Kairos looked at his hands and clenched them back and forth. "I can surpass peak third star aura knights now." "
As he thinking, his senses suddenly flared, a surge of instinct screaming at him.
Without hesitation, he twisted his body sharply, spinning on his heel as fast as he could. His sword followed the motion in a wide, deadly arc, the red aura trailing behind the blade like fire.
Clang!
The sound of metal on metal echoed through the chamber, sparks flying as Kairos’ sword collided with something ,no, someone. His eyes narrowed as the figure staggered back, cloaked in a dark robe that had blended seamlessly into the shadows moments before.
The figure was shrouded with shadows. Slowly coming into view as shadows started to disappear.
Seeing that, all his senses flared up even more. He started calculating his moves. Conclusion? He has to escape!...
"I couldn’t sense him...he revealed himself on his own," realizing that Kairos was more sure he wasn’t a match for whatever this person was.
He has to escape. Or survive long enough before her mother comes to rescue him. Then another thought struck him: if this person was here. That means two things.
He nullified the barrier, or worse, outside is in chaos of some kind, considering this person just entered a protected space without causing any commotions.
Kairos retreated the more he thought, the stiffer his face started to become.
"Is it an assassin? Did I still reveal too much?" Kairos’s mind raced rapidly. But he couldn’t think of a single thing he did for that.
He slowly started channeling his aura back and forth, increasing his senses.
Meanwhile,
"Hm, not bad. That strike was almost perfect." The figure thought and started gauging how much strength he should use against someone who doesn’t have a soul gear or an awakened element.
The shadowed figure took another slow, deliberate step forward, the air around them seeming to distort with dark energy.
The faint red glow of Kairos’ aura flared as he braced himself, his sword held firmly in front of him.
His opponent had deployed his Aura Field!
Kairos barely had time to react as the figure’s sleeve ignited in black flames, burning away to reveal rows upon rows of black chains that surged out like a torrent and lunged forward.
Kairos lost his composure for a split second as he looked at those black chains.
The figure’s hand moved with fluid grace, directing the chains in a sweeping arc as the length of the chains continually grew.
Kairos, still shaken by the sight of the chains, came back to his senses just as they were about to reach him.
Kairos bit his teeth and channeled all of his aura into his feet, retreating backwards and missing the black chains by an inch.
Launching himself backward and stabilizing himself by pressing down on his sword, leaving a small, faint trail of red aura as it dragged against the stone floor, uprooting some of the stone plates.
He looked up; his eyes flared up. As he channeled everything he has. Consuming his blood slowly and muttering.
"Dark Knight"
Hearing the words, the figure also stopped in his tracks. And gazed upon the boy. And was shocked and amazed at the same time seeing this boy knows his identity.
