Beside Elder Journey was another lady that was said to be his summon.

Gasper looked up once again. The astonishment in his eyes could not be concealed as he stared at the figure who easily stopped the Violent Flame Bear’s attack as if it was nothing.

"Thank you!" Gasper muttered with a relieved sigh.

Miguel nodded his head and said nothing else.

He then gestured for Edith to come down as at this moment, the Violent Flame Bear had already returned to normal after feeling Edith’s gaze.

Edith was a martial artist and was a fairly strong one at that. It was easy for her subduing such a violent low level creature.

At this point, the other elders and teachers of the academy finally arrived.

All of them heaved a sigh of relief seeing that the situation has already been handled. They were swift with their actions earlier but they did not expect that Elder Journey and his summon would beat them to it, arriving on the stage quickly that none of them could react.

All of them guessed that it must be some kind of teleportation skill. Such skills were common when one was already at a high level.

What they were confused about though was how Elder Journey arrived along with his summon. They saw how he flashed right beside Gasper earlier while his summon directly flashed towards the paw.

Anyway, they had already heard of stories about Elder Journey so they assumed that it was his Innate Skill. For them, such a skill was very formidable as it could save their life during dangerous situations. Seeing such a skill being used by Elder Journey made their opinion about him turn up a notch.

They smiled at him as Edith made her way down.

Simon arrived a moment later. He stroked the fur of his beast gently. He then went to Elder Journey’s front and made a ninety degree bow.

"Thank you for calming down my pet, Elders!"

He could only bow his head deeply to show his sincerest gratitude.

If Elder Journey had not stopped his Violent Flame Bear in time, he would have gone into serious trouble even if he was recognized as a genius of the Red Family.

If the Violent Flame Bear was not stopped, it would have killed Gasper, and would then go to the audience to rampage and kill more people.

A rampaging beast was no less dangerous than a demonized one. The only difference was that there was no saving a demonized beast anymore while a rampaging beast could still be calmed down.

Simon recalled his shivering Violent Flaming Bear inside his grimoire with a grim yet relieved face. He could not help but look at Elder Journey and his summons.

Simon wanted to be as strong as them one day.

The chaotic situation calmed down in an instant.

Those audiences who fled right away in panic stopped on their tracks and looked back in confusion.

Some of them even went back to their seats and returned to their children that they ’accidentally’ left during the commotion earlier.

Murmurs of the crowd echoed as the elders and the judge seemed to be discussing something with low voices.

Miguel and his two companions on the other hand just stood there as he pondered for the events that had happened earlier.

Thinking about the match earlier, he could not help but think of the main character templates of some of the stories he had read before.

Talking about such templates, he realized that Gasper might be one of such characters if they were in a story right now.

After all, before Miguel’s intervention, Gasper was the one who found Aaliyah’s necklace or treasure. It was his fortuitous encounter.

The match earlier further strengthened this point.

A character that was beaten initially in the early stage and will come back in the later stage.

Miguel turned to look at one direction and was positive that Gasper would not die from the Violent Flame Bear’s attack as well even without his intervention.

Looking at the edge of the venue, he saw an old man standing casually with a teen by his side. Upon a closer look, one would realize that they were Grand Patriarch Zuko and his grandson, Domen.

With the Grand Patriarch Zuko there, Miguel was sure that he would intervene at the last second to save Gasper from harm’s way. Gasper would then be saved, and would be recognized by the old man. If possible, he might even get accepted as the personal disciple of the Grand Patriarch due to his good personality or something.

Well, it seems that Miguel had once again cut-off one of Gasper’s ’cheats.’

How pitiful.

Anyway, as the dust and the audience settled themselves, the Elders, and teachers, including Miguel also returned to their respective seats.

The tournament was far from over.

The judge finally announced the winner of the match.

It was Simon who won and became the champion.

Even though there was an accident, it still doesn’t mean that he would lose because of it.

After hearing the announcement, a burst of cheer resounded in the whole area.

It was only then that the situation sank in to some of the audience around.

That was the first match and was supposed to be a boring one. However, outside of everyone’s expectations, the match was actually pretty exciting and brutal.

The fight between the Violent Flame Bear and Fire Wolf was indeed intense. The Violent Flame Bear had even almost lost its life from the weaker Fire Wolf. If it was not for that last burst of strength, it would have surely been defeated by the quick and agile Fire Wolf.

And even though he was declared as the winner, Simon actually did not celebrate much. In fact, he was even a little disappointed in himself. It should have already been a given that he could defeat his opponent.

However, not only did he almost lose, he even caused his Violent Flame Beast to go into rampage. As a renowned genius, this felt humiliating for him. However, he could only blame himself and promised inwardly that he would even train harder.

After the judge announced the winner, the stage was cleaned and the next contestants were then told to prepare for their battle.
