I Can Contract Beauties-Chapter 204: Master Nelson’s Horror
As per Miguel’s instructions, Edith finally stopped using [Flash Step] and directly looked at the towering Red-Eyed Hound in front of her.
There was no fear in her eyes, only valiance and confidence.
At the next moment, her body erupted as she used the Golden King aura to intimidate her opponents.
Usually, such techniques were only effective to low-level and low-grade beasts.
If used towards the strong, it would only provoke contempt and might trigger the other party even more.
However, the situation right now was different.
The morale of the enemies were extremely low, especially after Edith assumed an attacking posture.
The Golden King Aura erupted and it immediately shook the mind of everyone present.
This was a skill exclusive to Gold Grade Beast. However, not all Gold Grade Beasts could master their Golden King Aura.
The Red-Eyed Hound stopped abruptly after it was struck by the Golden King Aura.
That split moment that it was distracted was enough for Edith to prepare for her next attack.
She held the sword with her two hands and position in front of her, parallel to the ground.
Her eyes glowed an intense light as she used [Tempest Blade] to attack the distracted Red-Eyed Hound.
As she slashed the sword forward, an air blade was immediately condense and traveled with extreme speed toward the Red-Eyed Hound.
As if one was not enough. Edith made the second, the third, the fourth, and even more slashes forward.
White air blades condensed one after the other, hitting the distracted Red-Eyed Hound almost at the same time.
The Red-Eyed Hound howled in pain.
Fresh blood gushed out of its chest as it endured the slashing attacks directed toward it.
As per its master’s order, it tried to leap sideways to dodge.
Unfortunately, Edith simply used [Flash Step], and reappeared in front of it once again. The [Tempest Blade] was used for the second time as another batch of airblade came hurtling toward it.
Master Nelson gritted his head with a gloomy expression. The previous nonchalance on his face was nowhere to be seen.
Seeing his beasts getting suppressed like that, he had to admit that they were vastly inferior to the other party.
Knowing that there was no chance of winning, he did not want to obtain more losses.
This time, he prepared to let the Red-Eyed Hound escape the wrath of this demoness who seemed like he had infinite energy.
As he waved his hand prepared to unsummon his Innate Beast, Master Nelson’s hand suddenly stopped as he felt an overwhelming pressure descended toward him.
Master Nelson slowly turned his head to the side.
At that moment, his whole body immediately froze in place.
His eyes widened in shock and horror.
His white beard trembled along with his entire body seeing the figure that was standing right beside him.
"H-how can this be!"
Shock!
Horror!
Fear!
There was no way to describe what Master Nelson felt at this moment.
A lot of questions lingered in his mind.
Before he could ask even further, a wide smile appeared on the person standing right beside him.
"Make a move and you’ll lose your arm."
The sentence was said in a very casual manner.
It was as though a friend was telling something unimportant to his friend whom he just met.
However, it was this sentence that broke the final straw of relief in Master Nelson’s mind.
That wide smile below the half mask made his soul tremble in fear and trepidation.
His body froze in place. His mind went into shambles and even if he wanted to, he simply could not move under the normal threat, and the gaze of the man standing right beside him.
’How could he appear right inside my Absolute Shield?’ 𝓯𝙧𝓮𝓮𝒘𝓮𝙗𝙣𝒐𝒗𝒆𝓵.𝓬𝓸𝒎
The Absolute Shield was the lifeline and the ultimate guarantee of Grimoire Summoners.
Only the summoner themselves could stay in the grimoire. Not even their beast, much less other people come inside it unless it was broken.
Absolute Shield’s were called Absolute Shield’s for a reason.
They were supposed to be unbreakable and unbreachable unless the difference in strength was extremely high.
For Elder Journey to appear right inside his Absolute Grimoire was even more shocking and horrifying than seeing the Absolute Shield break with a casual attack from a low-grade beast.
However, the truth was indeed before him.
Elder Journey was inside his Absolute Shield.
And he did so without Master Nelson being able to sense it until the last moment.
His safety was jeopardized.
The thought of unsummoning his Red-Eyed Hound to save it disappeared out of his mind.
At this moment, the only thing he could think of was how to completely stand still to satisfy Elder Journey’s words.
If not, he was afraid that not only an arm, his head might get separated from his body at the next moment.
The threat of death made him ignore his Red-Eyed Hound.
So what if it was killed?
So what if all of his beasts were killed?
As long as he stayed alive, the death of his beasts doesn’t matter.
Besides, his Red-Eyed Hound was his Innate Beasts. Even if it died right now, it would still revive a few months later. Compared to losing his life, Master Nelson thought that it was better for his beasts to perish.
...
A few hundred meters away from the amusement park where a fierce battle was happening.
An old man stood at the top of a pointed building and looked at the ongoing battle with interest.
He was wearing a loose red-robed that fluttered in the air. HIs red and crimson hair shone brightly under the illumination of the moon.
Although his face was wrinkled and looked old, the old man still carried an aura of dignity around him.
A look of interest appeared before his eyes upon seeing that a person had managed to snuck inside the Absolute Shield of the other.
He tilted his head and said in the air, "Shall we go and check? It has been a while since I came out of seclusion as well. I wonder how that snotty brat is doing now."
As he said so, his figure began to float before flying forward leisurely.
His destination was the amusement park where a fierce battle was ensuing.
