Initiating the battle, Edith used [Flash Step] and arrived right in front of Master Nelson in an instant.

At this point, Master Nelson’s eyes widened in surprise.

His eyes stared in front. He never thought that this new elder would be brazen enough to even try to attack him.

How dare he!

Rage welled up deep inside him.

His movements were not idle as an absolute shield was summoned to protect himself.

Miguel stared at the gold colored shield as a smile surfaced on his face.

’A Master Rank Summoner?’

The next moment, the sword on Edith’s hand was swung towards Master Nelson in a flash.

With her sword, Master Nelson was not as defenseless as their precious opponents.

His expression remained one that of rage, however, a Silver Grade Grimoire had already appeared right beside him in an instant.

He ignored the incoming sword as his Silver Grade Grimoire turned itself into the second page.

At the same moment his palm landed on that particular page, a ’boom’ also resounded in front of him.

Edith’s sword landed squarely on the golden-colored Absolute Shield.

The surroundings shook due to the impact. Even Damian and Domen in the distance could feel the force coming from that collision.

Back in the scene, an incredulous scene could be seen.

Although the golden-colored shield was able to defend from Edith’s attack, upon a closer look, one would still be able to see a slight crack forming at the point of collision.

"How is this possible!" Domen muttered in shock and bewilderment.

They had never heard of the absolute shield breaking before.

But now, they could see that a crack had formed on the golden-colored Absolute Shield.

An Absolute Shield would change color depending on the summoner’s rank. The duration of a shield also depends on the user’s rank.

An Absolute Shield’s durability on the other hand would increase depending on the grimoire’s level.

One must note that Master Nelson’s grimoire, though still in the Silver Grade, was already at the Advance level.

"What in the!"

Even the casual Master Nelson appeared shock at this moment.

His mind went into an overdrive as he realized that he had underestimated this new elder of the Red Family.

However, it doesn’t matter.

A smirk appeared on his old lips as his grimoire lit up.

The next moment, a flash of light streaked out of his grimoire.

Behind him, a humongous creature could be seen forming out of thin air.

Upon a closer look, one could see that it was a gigantic dog with flaming eyes.

Towering over four meters tall, it stood behind Master Nelson with an unstoppable momentum.

The moment it appeared, it immediately sensed the creature attacking its master. The fiery glow on its eyes intensified. It felt the rage of its master as it howled at the top of its lungs, seemingly echoing it’s ferocity.

The next moment, it swung it’s massive paw towards Edith with unstoppable momentum without any warning.

Boom!

Another deafening sound echoed in the surroundings.

It seemed that this night was destined to be loud and full of explosion.

Smoke billowed in the area in front of Master Nelson.

However, even after such a strong attack from his Gold Grade Beast, Red-Eyed Hound, there was not a hint of glee in Master Nelson’s eyes.

As the smoke and dust settled, he looked over and realized that Edith had already returned to her previous position, right beside Elder Journey, acting as though nothing in particular had happened.

The exchange of blows was swift and was settled in an instant.

However, a grave expression was on Master Nelson’s old face as he looked at the cracked Absolute Shield in front of him.

Recalling the moment the sword made contact with his shield, Master Nelson could help but shiver in fear.

’Dangerous!’ He thought to himself.

His hand, though, did not stop moving even for a second.

Streaks of light came out of the grimoire one after the other.

Including the tiger beast he rode here earlier as well as the Red-Eyed Hound he just summoned, there were now a total of five beasts around him.

One must note that as a Master Summoner, he could now summon as many Beasts as he liked as long as he and his grimoire had the energy to support the summons.

Five was his limit for now, though. But this was enough.

One was a Gold Grade, two Silver Grade, and another two were Bronze Grades. He did not bother summoning any Normal Grades as he knew that they would not be of help considering the strength of their opponent. 𝐟𝚛𝕖𝚎𝕨𝗲𝐛𝚗𝐨𝐯𝐞𝕝.𝐜𝗼𝗺

Aside from him, the three figures who came to assist also realized the severity of the situation upon seeing how even the Absolute Shield of Master Nelson had been cracked by her attack earlier.

Now, their expression’s turned stern as they finally took the new elder seriously.

Like Master Nelson, the other grimoire summoner also summoned her beasts one after the other.

However, it seemed that the strongest she could summon was the humongous red sparrow she rode here earlier. Even still, she still managed to summon a total of four beasts, each of them exuding strong and ferocious aura.

Two of them were Silver Grades while the remaining two were Bronze Grades. Like Master Nelson, she did not bother summoning any Normal Grade’s as well.

A Master Rank Summoner that has a Gold Grade Beast were very few and were considered as geniuses. After all, only Grandmaster Rank’s has the real capabilities to subdue a Gold Grade Beast.

As for Master Nelson, the Red-Eyed Hound was his Innate Beast that he had been nurturing for more than a hundred years.

The two Martial Artists also took their respective weapons, although they were not as strong as the two overpowered summoners, they were still strong in their own regard, hence the reason why the Red Family valued them and even appointed them as trusted elders.
