I Became the Villain's Trainer-Chapter 82
Chapter 82
Visten urgently sought out Carlisle solely for that reason. He had told Alexa that he would call her again after discussing things with Carlisle first. As soon as Visten arrived at Carlisle’s office, he told him everything about Alexa’s worries and her recent decision.
“You’re saying, Alexa plans on leaving the Grand Castle?”
“Exactly, Your Excellency!”
“Why? Is someone bothering her?”
Carlisle furrowed his brows and asked. After pondering for a moment, Visten shook his head. No one would dare make trouble for Alexa. No wolf in their right mind would do such a thing.
“No stubborn wolves have been territorial with her, bared her their teeth, or caused any trouble, right?”
“That’s impossible, Your Excellency.”
There was a Head Maid who practically melted under Alexa’s presence. She guarded Alexa like a sentinel at the gates of hell. If anyone had dared to threaten her, they would have been torn to shreds by the Head Maid’s teeth.
Of course, there was one minor issue that bothered Visten – a young maid named Selina who had been brought to the castle as a gift for Alexa. But lately, they seemed to be getting along. Selina had stopped being rude towards Alexa and was now under strict surveillance.
“What could be the problem?”
Visten recalled the past, and then paled after realization hit him.
“I, I think it’s because of me...!”
Carlisle frowned even more. Clutching his chest, Visten continued.
“When Alexa first came, I was under the impression that she wouldn’t stay long... So we signed a contract that allowed her to remain only until Lord Isildus’s second growth phase was complete.”
“You had such a d**ned contract?”
Carlisle growled through his teeth.
“Alexa is fiercely independent. She’ll surely use that contract to argue that she must leave!”
Visten muttered, as though this was the most tragic thing in the world, his face looking like a man betrayed for a thousand years. Carlisle cursed under his breath, glancing at his advisor, who looked like he might collapse at any moment. How could they let Alexa leave? What if some malicious wolves outside harbored ill intentions?
That small girl might end up terrified and in tears. Carlisle would rather pull out his own fangs than let her face such a cruel fate. In their world, fangs were not only weapons but a point of pride. And Carlisle would sacrifice his.
Carlisle paced his office anxiously. He needed to discuss this matter urgently with Ysildus.
“Call Ysildus. And, if possible, Terrun as well.”
“Yes, Your Excellency!”
Carlisle leaned against his desk. According to the terms of the contract, Alexa was due to leave soon. But, as an initial defense, they could argue that Ysildus’s second growth was not yet complete. Beyond that, they would have to persuade Alexa to amend the contract. She was meticulous, so tricking her by falsifying the contract was out of the question. They would need to renegotiate the terms carefully...
How could anyone have drafted such a ridiculous contract for such a delicate child? Visten had truly outdone himself in poor judgment. Even the most notorious moral degenerate in Thersion would have condemned him. Anyone overhearing this would have shaken their head in disbelief.

The issue that had snowballed from Alexa’s single comment eventually reached the ears of Essellia. A crisis meeting was immediately convened in Carlisle’s office, with all the key figures present – except for Alexa.
“Alexa’s leaving? Why, Father!”
Terrun shot a glare at Visten, as though blaming him for the whole ordeal. The young Terrun had recently begun to mature mentally, but a sinister coldness now flickered in his eyes. Visten, feeling wronged, waved his hands in denial.
“Terrun, it’s not my fault!”
“Then why is Alexa leaving?”
Terrun demanded, incredulous. It was Violeta who finally intervened. Recently, she had been worn out from the delayed challenges of raising a growing son.
“Terrun, calm down.”
“Letting Alexa leave makes no sense, Your Excellency!”
Terrun insisted vehemently. Perhaps influenced by Ysildus’s sly ways, or perhaps simply due to circumstance, Terrun had always acted like a child in front of Alexa, but now his overwhelming presence surged forth. Violeta sighed at her son’s stubbornness. The one who silenced Terrun was none other than Ysildus. Sitting cross-legged with a lazy smile, Ysildus spoke up.
“What made her think like that?”
“Alexa is highly independent. She probably wants to save money and open up her own shop or clinic.”
“Ah, in that case, let her do it. What’s the big deal?”
Ysildus tilted his head curiously. His piercing blue eyes flickered with dark possessiveness, something all too familiar to everyone present. No one could take his words at face value.
“She can play house wherever she wants. You don’t intend to stop her from pursuing her dreams over something so trivial, do you?”
“Play house? So you’re saying it’s fine for Alexa to leave?”
Carlisle asked in displeasure. He couldn’t fathom how his son had become so twisted. Essellia gently patted Carlisle’s hand, which was now radiating ominous energy.
“Alexa is staying in the Grand Castle. Why not set up her clinic here?”
“In the castle?”
Ysildus nodded as though this were the simplest solution. Silence fell upon the room. It wasn’t a bad idea. All they needed to do was open up a section of the castle. They could even remodel a separate wing into a clinic for Alexa. The current castle physician might have a fit of jealousy if he heard the plan, but it seemed like a viable solution.
“Then what about the contract?” Carlisle asked in a more relaxed tone.
“I’ll take care of that.”
Ysildus clicked his tongue and scanned the absurd contract up and down.
“This might actually come in handy.”
Essellia looked anxiously at Ysildus as he grinned. Him being cunning reminded her of Carlisle, and she feared it would bring Alexa to tears. How could her son, only 14, be so much like his father? Essellia sighed, exchanging a knowing glance with Violeta. The two women shared a silent bond, nodding in solidarity. In any case, Ysildus stood up.
“Just come up with an excuse for Alexa. Something like ‘There’s no space in Thersion’s inner district for a shop.’ You can think of plenty of reasons.”
“Understood, Lord Ysildus.”
“Then I suppose we’re done here.”
Ysildus tilted his head, as if asking permission to leave. Carlisle, feeling a headache coming on, waved his hand. Ysildus and Terrun promptly left the room, their footsteps echoing as they made their way toward Alexa.
“… Will that work?”
“It’s the best option. How long would it take to remodel the separate wing?”
“At most, a month. It will be ready in a month, Your Excellency.”
“Start immediately. It never made sense for Alexa to be studying in such a cramped space without a proper lab. If she has big ambitions, she needs a big space to work in.”
The separate wing might not be as large as the main castle, but it was still a significant building. Remodeling it in a month was no small feat.
“As for the contract, leave it to Ysildus. Your job is to keep Alexa occupied.”
“Yes, Your Excellency.”
Visten finally felt a weight lift off his shoulders.

A new morning dawned. Today was the first day of Alexa’s social etiquette class, and she took a deep breath to calm her nerves. She had never danced before... and this would be her first attempt.
Madam Jane recommended a pair of pink flats with an adorable red ribbon, saying they would be the most comfortable. The Head Maid chose a dress for her. Apparently, it was newly tailored for today, though Alexa decided to pretend she hadn’t heard that. After all, there seemed to be quite a few unfamiliar dresses in her wardrobe lately...
Alexa quickly shook her head. That wasn’t something she needed to think too much about. No one ever listened when she said she had enough dresses. The people of Thersion believed Alexa should have more of everything. Today, Ysildus, Terrun, Essellia, and even Carlisle would be watching her lesson, saying they wanted to cheer her on as she challenged a new area of skill.
“Hello, Countess Eneroff.”
“You should call me Mother now.”
Countess Eneroff immediately corrected Alexa’s greeting. Alexa’s face flushed with embarrassment. She knew she’d become the Countess’s adopted daughter, but this was her first time meeting her in person.
‘Right... she is my mother now...’
Alexa swallowed nervously. With trembling lips, Alexa struggled to say the word.
“M, Mother...”
She hadn’t uttered that word in so long. Her heart pounded in her chest, and she let out a long breath.
“Ah...”
The onlookers couldn’t help but sigh at the touching moment.
“Alright, let’s begin with the basics of dancing. You need to master the steps to move gracefully. Are you ready?”
With a determined expression, Alexa nodded firmly.
