I Became the Villain's Trainer-Chapter 79
Chapter 79
Although she knew this was a fantasy world, she still couldn’t believe it. Alexa’s lips parted slightly.
“Could I possibly use magic?”
From what she had read in novels, one needs to have an innate talent to wield magic. You also need magical power... I think there was a similar setup in this world too.
“Of course, Alexa. You have the talent.”
She thought she was just a passing extra, but it turns out she hit the jackpot. Alexa stood there with her mouth agape. To think she even had the rare gift of magic. How fortunate to be born as Alexa and not Selina.

The first thing Carlisle did upon Alexa’s return was to make her a Lady of a noble house, ensuring no one could lay a hand on her.
Alexa insisted it wasn’t necessary, but Carlisle was resolute. Status might not be important, but if it could protect Alexa, then there was no reason to refuse. Alexa couldn’t argue with that, especially when it was all for her well-being.
Thus, Alexa became the adopted daughter of Countess Eneroff. In her youth, the Countess had lost her husband and spent many years without children, working as a chaperone. So it was with great delight that she became Alexa’s adoptive mother. The image of the Countess guiding Alexa into high society as her chaperone was bound to be beautiful.
And so, Alexa became Lady Alexa Eneroff. Yet nothing really changed. She still resided in Thersion Castle, living with Terrun and Ysildus.
However.
“Lady Alexa.”
“Head Maid, why are you being like that...”
Alexa dragged out her words as she attempted to flee. The Head Maid and the other maids had started calling her ‘Lady Alexa’. Only now did she realize how embarrassing that was. Alexa protested from behind a curtain.
“Please, just call me Alexa!”
“That won’t do. You’re now a Count’s Young Lady.”
“Please, treat me comfortably, I beg you.”
Alexa pleaded, almost in tears. At this rate, she felt like she might just die of embarrassment. But if even Carlisle couldn’t win against the Head Maid, neither could Alexa.
“Lady Alexa! If you don’t come out right now, Sir Karrolf would have to wait longer. You have a check-up and classes today, right?”
“Aaargh....”
“Should I tell him to wait longer, Lady Alexa?”
With a groan, Alexa reluctantly stumbled out from behind the curtain. She probably didn’t realize how adorable she looked, shaking her head in distress. The Head Maid and the maids stifled their laughter. Throughout the entire time Alexa was being dressed up, they teased her with, ‘Lady Alexa, Lady Alexa!’
And once she was fully dressed...
“You look especially beautiful today!”
“Grand Duchess Essellia was right. We should have changed the dressmaker a long time ago...”
“The dress, shoes, and even her hair accessories – all the new pieces matched her perfectly! You look absolutely stunning!”
She had to endure a flurry of compliments. Alexa shook her head vigorously, her face on the verge of tears. It was a signal for them to stop, but the maids pretended not to notice and only raised their voices.
The Head Maid, standing like a statue outside, finally opened the door for Ysildus and Terrun, who had been waiting. This was all because of Essellia’s stern warning not to disturb a Lady during her private toilette. The two boys trudged in and stood on either side of Alexa.
“Are you okay?”
“Did the maids make it hard for you?”
“No, not really...”
Alexa denied it and left the dressing room. Everywhere she looked, she was dressed like a noble lady of high standing, all to meet Karrolf in the sunroom. Though it was just a regular day to meet him, she couldn’t win against the maids who insisted on her appearance. Since it was her first meeting as a noble, they insisted she had to make an effort.
But surely, this was all unnecessary...
“Teacher.”
“My goodness. Lady Alexa, you’re truly beautiful. You’re every bit worthy of Eneroff’s name.”
Alexa gave a weak nod in response to Karrolf’s words. At that moment, she just wanted to escape the world. She sighed heavily, unaware that her adorable and somewhat exasperated appearance only made her charm more endearing.

“Lady Alexa...?”
She’s a lady now? Selina gritted her teeth quietly. She could hear what was going on. There wasn’t a soul in this castle unaware that Alexa was of the Red Clan. Yet Alexa was now a Noble Lady.
Surely, Selina was the one who truly deserved that place. After all, unlike Alexa, Selina had Thersion blood running through her veins. Selina pouted. However, she knew she could no longer show her true feelings. She had to acknowledge and accept Alexa.
The wolves of Thersion still suspected Selina. She couldn’t move freely, and approaching Alexa was difficult, even when she put on the bracelet Alexa had bought for her and tried to act sweet.
‘I still have a long way to go.’
She should have played her cards right from the start. Selina clicked her tongue. Back then, she was alone and terrified in this unfamiliar place. Her defensive attitude had naturally led to hostility towards Alexa, and now she was stuck with the consequences.
With a forced smile, Selina began tidying Alexa’s dressing room. She was no longer dazzled by Alexa’s sparkling treasures. There was no point in clinging to such things when she could soon have much more. Or rather, she shouldn’t.
“Selina, clean up this too.”
“But this... this is a dress that has never been worn before.”
“The Grand Duchess ordered that anything unworthy of a Count’s Young Lady should be thrown away. Clear everything from here to here. New dresses will be arriving soon. They’re being made ahead of the debutante ball.”
The maid replied nonchalantly. Alexa herself wasn’t particularly aware of what was in her dressing room. She wouldn’t even notice if Essellia threw out all the dresses on her own.
Alexa was far more interested in books and studying than in such things. Rumor had it that Baron Visten believed Alexa was destined to become a great merchant. Though in reality, Alexa was set to rise even higher.
“Anyway, these clothes doesn’t fit someone with Alexa’s standing. Pack them away to exchange for some other things.”
“… Understood.”
Selina bit her lip, responding as calmly as she could. Her effort to maintain a soft tone seemed to have worked, as the maid didn’t seem to detect her bitterness.
‘She’s really lucky.’
They say the Red Clan attracts misfortune. That belief was common even among humans. It was no surprise that children born with red hair were often mistreated. Selina herself, born with red hair, had been abandoned by her parents and lived a miserable life. Before she was sold to Ruella, she had survived on moldy bread.
Yet Alexa, born with the same red hair, had somehow found herself in a good orphanage, leading a decent life. She had even worked under a kind innkeeper. Selina bit her lip in jealousy, wiping away the blood before starting her work.
All the while thinking of how she could steal Alexa’s luck.
* * *
While Alexa was ill, the Head Maid and Essellia came to a mutual agreement. Alexa was human. No matter how well the wolves took care of her, there were bound to be some shortcomings. They needed someone to objectively assess Alexa’s situation. So, with Carlisle’s permission, they arranged to bring in the innkeeper Alexa had once worked for.
They also saw the recent messy incident as a risk – having someone who knew Alexa involved in such events could be dangerous. Alexa was too soft-hearted; if someone she knew got caught up in trouble, she wouldn’t stand idly by. For Alexa’s sake, it was something to avoid.
So, the innkeeper suddenly became a maid at Thersion. In reality, though called a maid, Thersion treated their maids like ladies-in-waiting, and the pay was far better than what the innkeeper could have ever earned in her rural village.
“So, you’re saying that Alexa lives in this castle?”
“It’s Lady Alexa.”
“My goodness...”
