I Became the Villain's Trainer-Chapter 53
Chapter 53
* * *
After finishing their studies, Alexa, Terrun, and Ysildus settle down for a nap as part of their regular routine. Before, they would never have dreamed of taking a leisurely nap, but now it’s become a habit and they’re sleepy at the appointed time. Alexa was sleeping soundly.
“Kiing… iingg…”
Ysildus’ cries echoed. Alexa initially thought that she was hallucinating, but she quickly got up.
“Ysu?” She couldn’t mistake the sound of his cries. Alexa looked around, and Ysildus.... “Ysu!”
Alexa burst out laughing. Ysildus woke up first, and was playing with himself. His whole body was covered with yarn. Even his front paw was covered in yarn, and he stood there while whimpering.
‘I wish I had a camera.’
Alexa sighed in disappointment. Since the cameras in this world are expensive and difficult to use, they couldn’t be used in everyday life. He couldn’t walk properly, so he stood there like a stone statue with a runny nose.
Alexa got up and walked over Ysildus. The latter looked up and whined at Alexa. She wiped his snot with them of her skirt.
“Do you want me to remove this?”
“Iing...”
“Is this painful?”

“Kiiing...”
As if on cue, Ysildus’ voice became a little more pampered. Alexa carefully untangled the thread from Ysildus’ body. When she rolled it back into a ball again and put it on the floor, he excitedly chased after it. But he seems a little wary as he gently stomps it with his front paw.
He nudged it, but got scared and ran away, only to chase after it again and nudge it once more. Alexa smiled and turned her head to look at Terrun. He was still sound asleep with no intention of waking up. The table was filled with the books Alexa had been studying. The sound of Ysildus running around and making a noise filled the silence.
Alexa sat up blankly after a long time. She felt inevitably lazy after coming here, taking naps and eating the food they gave her. She doesn’t even need to worry about making a living anymore. The only thing she is afraid of is the future, but when did we ever live knowing the future? It has only been a few years, but I feel like I’ve lived here all my life.
Alexa looked back at Ysildus. She had gotten used to the fact that this little dog was actually a huge wolf. She remembered seeing Ysildus once before. A white and beautiful wolf with a big body – there was no other word that could describe it other than beautiful. She could imagine him running over the white snow and bathed in moonlight.
Alexa shivered. She realized that Ysildus’ second growth is getting closer and closer. Ysildus will become an adult and completely forget about her. A strange feeling of melancholy starts to eat her away.
It was something she decided for herself. She doesn’t want to become the beloved female lead of the villain family’s heir and make dangerous choices. Alexa knew her limits. She could endure things she can’t see or doesn’t know.
But could she do the same for what was about to happen right in front of her eyes? Ysildus and Terrun were destined to become ‘murderers’. The Emperor won’t give up invading Thersion, and they will be drawn to their fate and point their swords at the Imperial City.
The Emperor’s left wing is now broken due to the loss of Duke Duffels. Nevertheless, it will never deter his hatred of Thersion. The novel will enter a new phase once the Ninth Prince is introduced.
Gone are the peaceful, happy days of childhood. The Ninth Prince was a spy planted by the Emperor in Thersion. Crossing the barrier of Thersion was difficult, so he sends someone with a high status to make it impossible to refuse. Thersion had no choice but to let the Ninth Prince in with the words ‘I’m a spy’ written on his face.
It was the Ninth Prince who would later bring Terrun and Ysildus to the battlefield. He reported to the Emperor that Ysildus and Terrun were old enough to fulfill their duties for the Grand Duchy, hence the order to set out was given.
When the Wolf God established the first family, he placed one restriction – no wolf could harm a Temperch.
That was the price the knight Temperch received instead of becoming an emperor with bothersome duties. Thus, Ysildus and Terrun were forced to go to war.
‘I don’t know what will happen this time.’
Later, the Ninth Prince confessed to being a spy on the battlefield and betrayed the Emperor. With Terrun and Ysildus, they turned the army around and marched toward the capital. Wolves couldn’t kill the Emperor. It was none other than the Ninth Prince who killed him, and Selina was with him every step of the way
Alexa glanced back and forth between Terrun and Ysildus. She couldn’t imagine them becoming murderous. After entering the novel, the Terrun and Ysildus she met were warmer, cuter, and more lovable than she imagined.
There is a very different gap between peeking through the pages of a book and actually experiencing it. Even so, Alexa couldn’t prevent their enormous fate with the Emperor, but she could provide a bit of help.
So... she could be their assistant.
“Ysu, come here.”
Ysildus’ ears perked up when Alexa called him. He trotted over and curled up next to her; it was warm. Alexa sat down like a still life and stroked Ysildus’ fur.
“Can you not grow up?”
Ysildus pretended to hear her, but he yawned loudly and rested his face on his front paws. He couldn’t understand what Alexa was saying at all.
“Ysu, you can’t forget me...”
In the past, Alexa imprinted herself on Ysildus to stay alive. She was afraid that ‘Alexa’s’ fate would come back to haunt her. But now, she would really feel sad if Ysildus forget her. She felt upset for some reason, so she hugged Ysildus tightly, who was about to fall asleep.
“Arf!”
Startled by the sudden movement, Ysildus’ head jerked and crashed into Alexa’s chin.
“Ouch…”
Still, Alexa burst into laughter, and Alexa rolled on her back while holding Ysildus in her arms.
“This is nice, right?”
“Nngg...”
Terrun replied in a muffled voice. He blinked his eyes having just woken up. Alexa let go of Ysildus, then Ysildus stood on top of her and tilted his head.
“You’re heavy, Ysu! Get down.”
Ysildus pretended not to hear Alexa and curled up in a ball on top of her. He moved his body, trying to find a comfortable position. Eventually, he found the best position on Alexa’s stomach and snuggled for a nap.
Zzzzz...
Terrun also closed his eyes, following Ysildus’ labor breathing.
“You’re sleeping again?”
Alexa caressed Ysildus’ fur and closed her eyes – wishing that this could go on forever.

Cleaning up the garbage is finished. The wolves left behind in the capital slaughtered everyone that Visten had pointed out and found their double-entry ledgers and secret documents. Carlisle ordered them to pack everything and bring them back, and the wolves obediently carried out his command.
Seven of the wolves stayed in the capital and three returned. Carlisle chuckled as he examined the secret documents they brought back.
“Grand Duke?”
“Essellia.”
Carlisle kissed the surprised Essellia’s forehead. They were going through the papers together. He could smell the faint smell of blood on her as she sat beside him, helping him extract the information he needed.
“Did you enjoy the hunt?”
“Yes. I killed a large black bear, and I’m thinking of giving it to Alexa to eat. That way, she can survive this winter.”
Essellia said excitedly. When she saw the huge black bear, all she could think of was its gallbladder. It was almost winter. What if Alexa didn’t make it through and caught a cold or pneumonia and died?
“I’m getting curious about that kid.”
Essellia spoke defensively to Carlisle, “… You promised that you wouldn’t do anything bad to Alexa.”
“I did.”
