Chapter 318 -320: The Idea of Mass Producing Bone Dragons and a Simple Small Layout (5000 words)

The Knight of the Broken Sword: On how to mass-produce bone dragons.

Everyone knows that I was lucky enough to become a member of the Undead Empire and am currently a registered disciple of the Undead Monarch.

Having contact with the higher echelons of the Undead Empire has also granted me access to much information that ordinary people cannot obtain. Today, let’s discuss how to mass-produce bone dragons.

Since the information I have received is not very extensive, it is mixed with a lot of personal inference and speculation. It cannot be taken as accurate reference, so please think independently and correct me if I am wrong.

In our last post, we talked about the production process of undead life. If you haven’t seen it, you can go check it out. I won’t elaborate further.

Among the undead creatures, bone dragons are undoubtedly the most powerful, representing the elite combat force.

Currently, the Undead Empire doesn’t possess many bone dragons.

The question arises then, how are bone dragons created?

I believe most people think they are made from the corpses of giant dragons.

Is that correct?

Yes, indeed that is the case, but this method is not the only one; there are other ways to create bone dragons.

I have personally witnessed the Undead Monarch summoning an extraordinary-level bone dragon using a pile of bones from demon beasts and humans.

I was profoundly shocked at that moment. What is the principle behind this spell? How can you summon a dragon without a giant dragon’s corpse?

This question puzzled me for a long time, even causing an imbalance in my understanding of “Glory.”

To understand this, I started to carefully observe the actions of the Undead Monarch from then on.

Fortunately, because I am a registered disciple of the Undead Monarch, I did not face many restrictions.

After observing the recruitment of bone dragons over ten times, I noticed some details.

One typical example is that before summoning a bone dragon, the Undead Monarch always conducts a massacre, killing a large number of demon beasts or other creatures before proceeding with the summoning.

What does this signify?

I arrived at a very simple conclusion—souls.

After the Undead Monarch kills demon beasts, their souls scatter, and though my level is low, I can still sense the soul energy dispersing in the air.

Combining this with the fact that undead thrive and grow by feeding on souls, we can simply deduce—the prerequisite for summoning a bone dragon is having sufficient soul energy.

This is only the first step.

The second step involves—dragon blood or dragon bones.

Although summoning a bone dragon does not require the corpse of a giant dragon, if you want to summon a true bone dragon rather than some miscellaneous undead life, then dragon blood or dragon bones are essential.

Using parts of a giant dragon’s body to transform the undead into a dragon attribute undead is crucial.

From this, we can also infer that to summon any type of undead, you would need the corresponding type of undead’s blood, bones, or even souls.

In other words, this method is applicable to all undead cultivation in bulk, not just bone dragons.

With the first two steps in place, we come to the most crucial third step.

To summon a bone dragon, one must learn a special magic called the Dark Summoning Skill.

It is a unique spell exclusive to the Undead race, ungraded, but exceedingly difficult to learn.

Luckily, I learned this summoning technique from the Undead Monarch.

If the first three conditions are met, then what follows is the main focus of this post.

How I mass-summon bone dragons.

The bone dragons summoned by the Undead Monarch are of extraordinary level, and the materials he uses are beyond my comparison.

Therefore, when summoning bone dragons, I did not use high-level magic materials.

What’s more crucial is that my spiritual power is incapable of supporting the summoning of high-level undead bone dragons.

At that point, I almost saw no hope.

When all paths seemed blocked, it suddenly occurred to me that the undead we summon vary in strength—so why should I necessarily summon a high-level bone dragon?

Why not summon a low-level bone dragon and then gradually cultivate it into a high level? That would solve everything.

Moreover, the magic materials needed for low-level skills are simple, and the consumption of spiritual power is minimal, which I can completely afford.

Just before the closed beta of the game ended, I conducted an experiment based on this idea.

The magic materials were leftovers from the Undead Monarch, and the souls were from several low-level Demon Beasts that I had people capture.

As expected, my idea was indeed feasible, and I actually summoned Bone Dragons.

And not just one, but three at a time.

Though the Bone Dragons I recruited were quite weak, they were still Dragon Undead after all, and their potential for growth was absolutely not comparable to ordinary undead creatures.

Below is a screenshot.

So if everyone wants to mass produce Bone Dragons and cannot recruit high-level ones in the short term, you might want to start with low-level ones and then slowly cultivate them.

This is a way of thinking I’m offering everyone. If Bone Dragons are possible, could other undead creatures be possible too??

This speaks to the vast potential of the Undead Clan, allowing us to have summonable creatures with boundless potential even at low levels.

Everyone is welcome to transfer to the Undead Empire after the open beta, and I will teach each of you the magic of summoning undead in person.

Additionally, the Undead Sigh Guild I’ve formed has already begun recruiting members. Those interested please private message my assistant below the post.

Join us, and raise Bone Dragons together!”

The responses below were absolutely explosive.

First floor: Awesome setup, I’m just a weakling, if you’re brother come fight me, here’s a brand I’ve never played in the new version…Chopping people with a big knife·jpg.

Second floor: Who gave me the courage to come here and look into making Bone Dragons? I’m just a level 2 rogue, why the hell am I looking at this?

Third floor: Does the broken sword have some misunderstanding of the word simple? Damn it, let alone summoning Bone Dragons, I’m a level 3 mage right now and all I can do is use Mage’s Hand and cast Small Fireball, this damn game will collapse sooner or later.

Third floor: Damn game planner, I’ve been working hard every day at the docks earning money, still haven’t turned into a professional yet and now you’re telling me someone is already cultivating Bone Dragons?? I’m furious!!

Fourth floor: Brilliant, you are truly a big shot, I think I want to ~join~ oh~! But the only question is, do undead have no ding-dong? If that’s the case, then what about my elf girls? I have so many waiting for me to visit them…

Fifth floor: Undead without ding-dongs? Hahaha, you guys are too funny, Broken Sword the Knight, you also have your day, no wonder you are called that, it indeed is broken. Though we are lower rank, but every night we can still enjoy the sweetness of the NPC girls~ Broken Sword, you continue being undead, the girls are left to me.

Sixth floor: Damn, Broken Sword the Knight doesn’t have a ding-dong?…

Seventh floor: Broken Sword Knight big shot, didn’t expect you’re like this, really, too likable. I just love your vigor, let’s private chat on WeChat …

Ignoring the nonsensical players, the analysis post by Broken Sword the Knight made Lide quite thoughtful.

Recruiting low-level, high-potential undead, starting from weak strength to mass cultivate, this thought undeniably fits the unrestrained thought patterns of players.

In “Glory,” usually one’s capability dictates how much one can achieve; low-level undead mages summon low-level Skeleton Warriors, and high-level undead can summon Ghost Knights, Bone Dragons.

But with Broken Sword the Knight’s maneuver, the potential of the undead seemed to have suddenly increased a lot.

After all, not everyone can own a Bone Dragon at level five or six, and though the level might be low, a giant dragon, as one of the most powerful beings of the Golden Race in “Glory,” has much more potential than other races.

Broken Sword the Knight’s experience sharing gave Lide a lot to gain.

If this thought was indeed feasible, then he could potentially mass cultivate Bone Dragons or other powerful undead in the Land of Bone-Burying.

The Land of Bone-Burying may not be rich in the Power of Death to raise creatures like Withered Bone, but low-level undead could still be mass-cultivated.

This calculation showed that the Land of Bone-Burying didn’t have to wait for much later stages to become useful; it could be planned for now.

Thinking this, Lide couldn’t help but have a brilliant smile.

Never mind the nonsensical players; this kind of thought process indeed could provide him with a lot of help.

Of course, Broken Sword the Knight also used this post to tempt players to join his faction, after all, who wouldn’t want a Bone Dragon, a high-level life form that sounds impressive just by mentioning it.

And the opponent also held the Dark Summoning Skill passed down by the Duke of Undead, which was the key point of summoning.

However, given Dawn City’s current power, as long as this Dark Summoning Skill wasn’t extremely rare, he was confident he could get it.

“Cheng Lu, record this post by Broken Sword the Knight, and later have the Data Analysis Department contact them to confirm if there are any restrictions to learn this skill. Additionally, we can trade it with Gold Puck or game props.”

Lide thought it over and decided to take precautions.

Since he couldn’t enter “Glory” for now, he might as well solve the problem at the source.

With his power and wealth in “Glory,” he didn’t believe the Broken Sword Knights could resist his offers.

After all, even if he flourished in the Undead Empire, he was not the Undead Monarch and his available resources were definitely limited.

The only thing he wasn’t sure about was whether the skill had specific restrictions, such as being exclusive to the Undead.

“Yes, Mr. Li,” Cheng Lu loyally performed his duties as an assistant and recorded that post.

Lide then browsed through the forum more, but it was mostly posts from silly players, not very meaningful.

After not finding any eye-catching posts, he returned to the main page of the “Glory” official website.

Looking at the unchanging data, he couldn’t help feeling somewhat helpless.

This official stance was too brash.

They had never managed the official website properly, ignoring posts that furiously criticized the game planners and player calls for server openings.

And there was absolutely no intention of updating any information.

If it weren’t for the fact that this was the sole website for “Glory” on the entire internet, Lide somewhat suspected they were like in novels, always viewing pirated versions.

Half an hour later.

The car slowly stopped outside a relatively quiet entrepreneurial park.

“Mr. Li, this is the entrepreneurial park near the university town, specifically set up for student startups; the Dark Contract Club is here.”

Lide slightly nodded and, with a somewhat interested expression, got out of the car with Cheng Lu. The driver parked the car in the parking lot and did not follow.

He was quite looking forward to meeting those little minions of Stanley.

To see just how slick players commanded by NPCs could be.

Dark Contract Earth Branch, thinking of this name always gave Lide a bittersweet feeling.

The entrepreneurial park had a dedicated guard, but perhaps because Lide and Cheng Lu’s partnership seemed very amiable, coupled with his impressive demeanor, the security guard quickly allowed them entry after a brief inquiry, and even eagerly offered to show the way.

“Young man, that’s the club you’re looking for over there. Ah, back in the day I too dreamed of becoming a professional player, but unfortunately, I wasn’t good enough and didn’t make the cut. Keep up the good work, don’t give up on your dreams, I hope to see you on the world stage!”

Watching the somewhat desolate back of the security guard as he walked away, Lide felt somewhat touched. Esports had only become mainstream in the last twenty years as the younger generation grew up.

It seemed the guard had his own story.

But next time you pat my shoulder, please remember to wash your hands first.

Looking at the glaring black handprint on his shoulder, Lide felt somewhat resigned.

Cheng Lu, with a strange sense of humor, was trying to hold back his laughter next to him until the security guard was far away and then came up with a tissue, trembling shoulders, to help him wipe it off.

“Hahaha, Mr. Li, that uncle was too funny, hahaha…”

Lide was amused yet frustrated.

At that moment, creak, the door bearing the sign Dark Contract Club was pushed open, and Hun Yuan Thunderclap Hand Cheng Kun and three other people walked out.

The five instantly faced each other.

The scene was quite intriguing.

With a tissue in hand, Cheng Lu, from laughing too hard, impulsively covered his mouth when he saw the newcomers and his face was still flushed.

Combined with the odd expression on Lide’s face, it looked as if the two had just done something unspeakable.

Thunderclap Hand, with a touch of sentiment, whispered lowly, “The world deteriorates, the human heart is not ancient.”

Cheng Kun vehemently nodded in agreement, “Under the bright sky and clear sun, to actually engage in outdoor love-making right at our doorstep, how thrilling. Wait for me, I’ll go check the surveillance and give them a proper rebuke.”

Upon hearing this, Hun Yuan grimaced severely, clearly disdainful and distanced himself from the two.

“Are you two here looking for someone?”

Lide looked at the tall, thin young man in front of him and slightly nodded.

After hearing this inquiry, Cheng Lu finally suppressed his laughter and hurriedly stepped forward to join the conversation.

“Hello, we’re members of the Crimson Moon Club; this is our boss, Lide, Mr. Li.”

We saw on the forum that you are starting a club, and we came to your company to visit and learn, and we wonder if the three bosses of your company, Hun Yuan Thunderclap Hand Cheng Kun, are available?”

Oh?

Hun Yuan, Thunderclap Hand, and Cheng Kun exchanged a peculiar look.

“Crimson Moon?”

“Crimson Moon was formerly known as Sword and Shield Club, which Mr. Li acquired and renamed recently.”

Upon hearing Sword and Shield Club, the three of them suddenly realized. They had not heard of Crimson Moon, but they recalled the name Sword and Shield Club, which frequently appeared in the professional circles.

“Hello, I am Chen Yuan, also known as Hun Yuan on the forum. Currently, I am in charge of the Dark Contract Club. May I ask what brings you here?”

Lide looked at the spirited young man in front of him and cracked a faint smile.

“I would like to talk to you.”

Chen Yuan glanced at Lide, slightly puzzled. Talk? He seemed somewhat confused by his idea.

What could two strangers possibly have to discuss?

Two hours later.

Watching Lide drive away, both Thunderclap Hand and Cheng Kun still looked somewhat incredulous.

“Second brother, is it really that simple for us to receive an investment of eight million? And the other party only wants a 20% share? Plus, they’ll provide resources to help us develop?”

“What exactly does this guy want? Second brother, what did you talk about with him in the meeting room?”

Chen Yuan’s expression was complex. He shook his head and didn’t say much.

“You will naturally understand in time. Also, better not mention this to anyone else.”

“Get ready, we have a few professional players coming for interviews this afternoon.”

After saying this, he turned and left.

Watching Chen Yuan’s retreating figure, both Thunderclap Hand and Cheng Kun were utterly perplexed.

What the heck? It felt like something out of a spy rendezvous.

Is the boss of Crimson Moon really that impressive?

In the Maybach, Cheng Lu also looked at Lide with some confusion.

“Mr. Li, managing such a small club is a significant challenge. Why would you…”

Lide smiled, “I have my reasons. Handle the upcoming change in shareholding.”

Without further explanation, he then closed his eyes to rest.

Although he now owned Crimson Moon, it did not hinder him from making additional arrangements.

The Dark Contract branch set up by the trio of Hun Yuan Thunderclap Hand Cheng Kun was still an extension of his power, and he would be the ultimate beneficiary of these investments.

Moreover, after talking with the young man, he realized he had many ideas, and the establishment of Dark Contract was all his doing.

There were many things to do in the future. The stronger his resources in hand, the more at ease he felt.

A slight investment now could lead to greater benefits later. If it failed, he could afford the loss.

His thoughts turned towards something else more interesting than the still burgeoning Dark Contract branch—mass-producing Undead Bone Dragons.

Land of Bone-Burying, as a pure Undead Plane, was the ideal place for such endeavors.

If he could nurture three to five thousand bone dragons, then Land of Bone-Burying would become everyone’s nightmare.

At this thought, Lide’s calm heart suddenly grew a bit impatient.

He was eager to get back to experimenting.

Additionally, he wondered whether Dawn City had experienced any changes due to his rebirth, if the Cave Spider whose spider eggs he had stolen had encountered new situations, and just what exactly was the mysterious Bronze Token in the System Space?

Had the population plunder started yet? Was the secret of the mermaids discovered? How far had the research on Divine Gifted Holy Armor progressed?

Thinking of these questions, Lide felt somewhat dazed. It seemed as if Dawn City had already deeply embedded itself into his soul… That was where he truly belonged.

Looking through the window at the crowds on the streets and the modern high-rise buildings, he momentarily felt an illusion of traveling through time and space.
