I Became the Lust God After the Apocalypse-Chapter 22: Warm up
With Jeff gone, Lucien immediately bought the potion and watched as his balance dropped to less than a thousand SP.
"Sigh... broke again. Fuck," Lucien muttered as a tube appeared in his hand.
This was the potion.
A light blue liquid swirled inside it.
The tube was about five inches long, filled half way.
"My first step in creating my personal army..." Lucien murmured.
Yes, Lucien had seen many things in the system mall.
This system had everything. Even if a being wasn’t an awakener, the system could still make a normal human just as strong.
So Lucien had been thinking.
Personal power alone was not enough, and that fact had been made painfully clear.
So what was enough?
The answer was simple.
Personal guards.
A personal army.
Real power, the kind that allowed control.
Not just power through oneself, but power through others.
To have a city, a country, or even an entire world under one’s command.
"This potion..." Lucien brought it closer to his face as the light blue liquid glowed faintly.
"I hope it’s effective against close to a hundred humans," Lucien said quietly.
After all, this was a top-tier evolution potion.
If a single person drank it, they would undoubtedly evolve into a human five times stronger than normal, a true meta-human.
But that was for one person.
This was meant for nearly a hundred people.
The effects would definitely be reduced.
But by how much?
Lucien didn’t know.
Soon enough, he would find out.
---
Far away from where Lucien was building his city
A massive army of zombies could be seen, numbering in the thousands.
They moved like green ants across the sand, charging relentlessly toward a city with a giant wall surrounding it.
Among them, several zombies stood out—towering over eight meters tall.
They were incredibly fast and capable of communicating with one another, even commanding lower-level zombies.
That was how they had managed to gather an army of this size.
"Growl—"
"Raagh—"
Zombie screams echoed across the land, their bodies drenched in blood.
Their goal was simple.
Devour every living thing in sight.
It was heartbreaking to think about.
One’s lover.
One’s protector.
The one who vowed to stay by your side.
The one you gave birth to.
Here they were...
Gone?
Alive?
That was for you to decide.
But they had already made their choice, to devour you, attack you, and kill you.
As for the human to zombie population, their numbers finally began to stop growing as more awakeners surfaced.
Just as Lucien had predicted, humanity was adapting.
Now they could fight back.
Normal humans under awakeners.
Awakeners leading humanity.
One such place was this city.
"They’re getting smarter..." someone muttered.
On the city wall stood two figures, a man and a woman.
Their bodies were relaxed.
Their expressions casual.
To them, this was merely a warm-up.
What would have caused Lucien to crumble was nothing more than child’s play to them.
"It is. I could handle this alone, you know," the woman replied. "There isn’t a single One-Star zombie among them."
Her body was draped in clothing that concealed her body and her face just like the man beside her.
"Probably," the man chuckled. "But Selena, where’s the fun in that?"
"Fun..." Selena echoed, a soft chuckle escaping her lips.
"Probably. But—" she paused.
"Let’s add a bet," Selena added.
The man laughed nervously.
"Nah, no. You’ll definitely kill more than me, so no," he said. "I won’t fall for that twice."
Selena was like a devil in female form.
And she was terrifyingly strong.
He didn’t know when she awakened, but after almost three weeks, the gap between them was obvious.
"Ah, no, not like that," Selena said. "The bet isn’t that straightforward."
"You just have to bet that I won’t kill double what you kill."
A chill ran down his spine.
Is she serious?
Selena didn’t joke about things like this.
This ex-military woman loved killing but could she really be that strong?
We’re both just One-Star Awakeners...
The man reassured himself before answering.
"Oh, that? That’s easy," he said quickly. "And don’t take back your words, you already said it."
Selena chuckled.
"Don’t worry. I won’t."
But as he heard those words, something felt wrong.
Incredibly wrong.
Argh, fuck it.
I’ll just kill more. As long as her kills aren’t twice mine, it’s fine.
The man looked at the charging zombie swarm, now only a few hundred meters away.
"I’ll take the left. You take the right," he said.
"Yes, Captain," Selena replied as she jumped.
Crack—!
The captain gulped as she moved like a rocket, leaping dozens of meters into the air.
"This girl... how strong are you really?" the man whom Selena called Captain muttered.
Boom—!
Another crack appeared on the wall, much smaller than the one Selena had created.
Both Selena and the captain landed, the ground sinking several inches beneath their feet.
...
With a single stride, both of them moved , covering nearly a hundred meters in just three seconds as they charged straight into the zombie swarm.
The clothes covering them tore apart as their speed increased.
---
A few minutes later
Splat!
A massive head, nearly fifty inches long, was crushed into a paste of blood and flesh as a feminine arm withdrew.
"That’s the last one," Selena said calmly. "So, Captain..."
"Who won?"
She turned around, her eyes glowing red, staring at the man opposite her.
The man was fairly built, with a muscular frame.
He wore a plain white T-shirt and shorts.
He carried no weapon.
Brown hair. Brown eyes. An average-looking man.
But right now, his face was filled with pure terror.
Behind Selena lay a mountain of corpses, mutilated zombie bodies piled high.
She was terrifying.
" fuck she’s too strong "..

Alright, let me pause the story for a moment. I want to talk about some things.
Shelter Classification (So Far)
At the very beginning of the apocalypse, survival wasn’t about territory—it was about breathing another day. Shelters started small, scattered, fragile. Over time, they evolved, just like humanity itself.
1. Temporary Shelter (Point-Level Shelter)
This is where everything begins.
These shelters are usually confined to a single building or small compound, often no more than a few hundred meters wide. Think abandoned houses, warehouses, schools, or underground bunkers.
Population is low , likw about 10 to 50 people at most and leadership is usually informal.
There’s little to no defense, no awakeners leading, and survival depends on hiding rather than fighting.
2. District-Level Shelter
Once people start organizing, expanding, and clearing nearby areas, shelters grow into districts.
These cover roughly 1–3 kilometers in radius and can house a few hundred people.
At this stage, you’ll usually see the emergence of awakeners, patrol teams, and basic resource management.
Defense is still shaky, but zombies nearby are actively hunted rather than avoided.
3. Zone-Level Shelter
This is where real power begins to show.
A zone-level shelter spans 5 kilometers or more, often encompassing industrial areas, multiple neighborhoods, or strategic terrain.
Population ranges from 1,000 to several thousand survivors.
Leadership becomes structured, commanders, councils, divisions.
Elite zombies start becoming a serious threat here, and awakeners are no longer rare.
4. City-Level Shelter
This is the current goal and the turning point of the apocalypse.
A city-level shelter controls an entire city, usually 30–50 square kilometers or more.
Population reaches tens of thousands, and power is no longer just personal, it’s systemic now.
At this level, survival turns into domination.
You don’t just defend you expand, suppress, and rule. Competition between other city level shelters started so that’s when it gets very interesting.
Anything beyond this...
That’s for later.
Now that’s about shelters, let me talk about zombies a bit.
Zombie Classification
Now let’s talk about the real problem.
Zombies.
They are not all the same, and assuming they are is the fastest way to die.
1. Normal Zombies
These are the most common.
Mindless, slow to moderately fast, driven purely by instinct.
Individually weak, but dangerous in numbers.
They form the backbone of every zombie swarm and are usually encountered in the hundreds.
Most early survivors die to these.
Not because they’re strong but because people underestimate them.
2. Elite Zombies
This is where things get terrifying.
Elite zombies are significantly stronger, faster, and tougher than normal ones.
But the real danger lies elsewhere.
They can reason, at least a little. 𝗳𝐫𝚎𝗲𝚠𝚎𝗯𝕟𝐨𝘃𝚎𝗹.𝗰𝗼𝗺
They can communicate with each other.
And most importantly, they can command normal zombies.
(Their communication is very basic, more like early humans type just sounds)
Depending on the strength of the elite zombie, they can control anywhere from a hundred to over a thousand zombies in a coordinated swarm.
These are not accidents.
These are leaders.
Encountering one elite zombie often means you’re already surrounded.
3. One-Star Zombies
Very few people have seen them.
Even fewer have survived.
One-Star zombies are not discussed openly for a reason.
They are believed to control entire cities, commanding zombie populations in the tens of thousands.
Elite zombies answer to them.
Zombie swarms move with intent under their influence.
For now none has been talked about in the novel but as we reach the city level it will be talked about so this is just basic understanding of them
Also..
This world isn’t just collapsing.
It’s reorganizing.
Shelters will rise.
Zombies will evolve.
And power will no longer belong to the strongest individual but to the one who can command many.
That’s all I’ll say for now.
