I Became the Lust God After the Apocalypse-Chapter 19: System Update: Integration and Expansion
"Kneel."
Just as the crowd was in an uproar, Lucien spoke.
Instantly, silence spread outward.
What was this?
They had just met five other awakeners, five who were clearly ready to fight, take over the shelter, and kill if necessary and this was what he said?
Kneel.
Doubt rippled through the crowd.
Was Lucien truly wise?
Even the council members raised their eyebrows.
Was Lucien trying to intimidate them?
But it was literally two versus five. No one should be intimidated.
Yet, amid all the doubt and uncertainty, something magnificent happened.
"Kneel... what do you.." Limo’s voice suddenly trailed off.
His consciousness blurred.
And he wasn’t the only one.
The remaining four awakeners followed as their eyes glowed pink. Slowly but surely, their knees buckled, and one by one, they knelt on both knees.
Lucien slipped his hands into his pockets, looking thoroughly pleased.
His pupils turned a star-like pink as he gazed at the five awakeners.
(Ding! Host has subdued five awakeners.)
(Host has gained 5 Loyal Followers.)
Silence followed.
Those who had doubted him...
Those who believed he wasn’t wise...
All fell quiet.
From Jeff to Daemon, every single one of them was stunned.
Lucien then turned toward the crowd.
And suddenly
Boom.
Someone knelt.
(Ding! Host has gained a Loyal Follower.)
Boom.
Boom.
With one person kneeling, others followed. Soon, the entire shelter, five hundred people strong—dropped to their knees.
And finally
Boom.
Mai knelt.
(Host has gained a Loyal Follower. Congratulations,Host has subdued a heroine.)
(Gained 500 SP.)
(Host has completed the quest.)
(Congratulations, Host has gained 533 Loyal Followers.)
(Host has gained 1,500 SP.)
(New Balance: 2,000 SP.)
(Not much... not small either.
But the Host had taken the first true step toward building his own power to survive this apocalypse.)
---
"...Finally."
Lucien let out a long breath.
After two weeks, he had finally built power with his own hands.
"Stats," Lucien called out and froze.
(Ding! System updating.)
(10... 9... 8...)
Lucien watched as the system refreshed before his eyes.

"Oh... wow."
Lucien was stunned.
The update was massive. The system had gone from basic to complex almost instantly but it made sense.
The end goal had always been the same: to become strong, to control power in this apocalypse, at least strong enough to face what was coming.
"Leader!"
The entire shelter shouted in unison, their voices echoing as Lucien laughed.
"This is really good. We can finally start expanding," Lucien said, nodding as a faint smile tugged at his lips.
Now he knew information about his territory, its size, its limits, its potential.
The next week to month would be crucial.
They had to expand rapidly.
More than that, they had to conquer the city.
There should still be survivors out there.
And probably elite zombies.
But now, it wasn’t just Lucien and Mai.
There were five other awakeners.
(Ding! Host has lost a Loyal Follower.)
Lucien froze.
"...What?"
Didn’t the system say loyalty was 100%?
How could he lose one so quickly?
Lucien scanned the surroundings, his eyes finally landing on someone.
Of course.
Mai.
"No wonder," Lucien muttered, but he didn’t care.
She was bound by the slave contract anyway.
(Ding! New Mission Released.)
Mission: Break through to the next realm.
Beginner-Level Awakeners are divided into two types:
Normal awakeners and those who reach the Limit.
Every realm has a limit.
Once a being reaches it, they must face challenges ten or even a hundred times greater to break through. The reward is overwhelming power, far surpassing normal awakeners.
Normal Awakener Breakthrough Requirement:
• Kill 5 Elite Zombies
(Possible but extremely difficult even for Peak awakeners like Mai.)
For Host:
Breakthrough to One-Star Awakener:
• Kill a Half-Step One-Star Zombie
(These zombies are at the peak of evolution, one leg already at the One-Star realm. They often control entire cities)
Reward: 10,000 SP
---
City-Level Expansion Mission:
• Population: 2,000+
• Controlled Distance: 30 km²
Reward: 2,000 SP
---
Kill Half-Step One-Star Zombie:
Reward: 8,000 SP
---
"Holy shit..."
Lucien was completely stunned.
So much information all at once.
He needed time to think but first, he had to tend to the shelter first especially sort out this five awakeners.
"Stand up. Resume normal operations. As for you five , follow me. Jeff. Daemon. You too," Lucien commanded.
"Yes, Leader," everyone replied including Mai.
The shelter returned to normal as Lucien and the others disappeared from sight.
---
Council Room
Jeff, Mai, and the five awakeners sat down as Lucien spoke.
"These five awakeners have joined us. We welcome them," Lucien said.
Jeff and the others clapped, smiling.
Though they had 100% loyalty, they weren’t mindless puppets. They could think and act freely only betrayal was impossible.
They had watched Lucien subdue five awakeners effortlessly.
No resistance.
No complaints.
That was one reason the entire shelter had been subdued.
One reason Jeff and Daemon were completely loyal.
At least... that was how it appeared.
How could they know their very thoughts had already been subtly influenced?
"Jeff. Daemon. I’ll leave the integration of these five to you. Don’t worry, they’ll follow your instructions. Prepare for expansion. We conquer this city in one month," Lucien said.
"Yes, Leader," they replied before leaving.
Finally, only Lucien and Mai remained.
^"There are so many things I don’t understand about you," Lucien thought, looking at her. "Are you just a heroine... or is there more?"^
Her beautiful expression.
Her soft face.
Her loose hair.
Her perfect curves.
Everything screamed beauty yet the clear, simple girl he once understood had changed.
Now, when Lucien looked at Mai, she was shrouded in fog.
"Master... can we go now?" Mai asked softly.
She smiled, holding his hand. Her eyes were misty, her tongue peeking out slightly.
Warm liquid ran down her thighs as she clamped them together, her body trembling lightly.
"Oh... alright. Let’s go," Lucien said as Mai laughed happily, dragging him toward her home or rather, his home now.
^"Whatever it is... whatever you’re hiding," ^Lucien muttered, narrowing his eyes,
^"I’ll find out in due time."^
