I Became the Little Demon in Leading Role's Family-Chapter 161 - 162 Initial Suspicion of Rabies
Chapter 161: Chapter 162 Initial Suspicion of Rabies
Ye Xiu had been with Bai Da for more than just a year or two. She could tell from the way his hands moved that he was very nervous.
"Do you really not know? Bai Da, can I never trust you again?"
Ye Xiu was somewhat disappointed. She hadn’t thought that, while feeling cold about Bai Da’s actions, disappointment could still surprise her.
What did disappointment imply?
It meant that she still cared about Bai Da somewhat. Otherwise, she wouldn’t have come back, even if she wouldn’t admit it herself.
"Xiuxiu?"
Bai Da widened his eyes dramatically and stood up abruptly, grabbing Ye Xiu’s hands excitedly, a hint of frenzy flitting through his eyes.
Ye Xiu was startled by Bai Da’s behavior.
Bai Zhi ran over instantly, watching Bai Da warily. If he dared to act violently, she was ready to break his hand.
Compared to Bai Da, Ye Xiu was much better off.
"Xiuxiu, how can you say that about me? You can certainly trust me. I am the person who loves you most in this world, you know that?"
Bai Da’s grip involuntarily tightened, causing Ye Xiu to frown in pain.
"You’re hurting me."
Ye Xiu’s words made Bai Da quickly loosen his grip and he immediately looked at Ye Xiu with pained eyes.
"Xiuxiu, does it hurt? I’m sorry, I’m sorry, it’s my fault. Hit me, please hit me?"
As he spoke, Bai Da took Ye Xiu’s hand and hit his own face with it.
Ye Xiu yanked her hand back,
"What are you doing? Can’t we have a proper conversation? I’m seriously talking to you. If you keep this attitude, we can’t continue this conversation."
Ye Xiu turned to leave, but Bai Da grabbed her hand immediately, his eyes already unfocused.
"Let me go, or I will leave."
Ye Xiu realized something was wrong with Bai Da and spoke up immediately. The Bai Da of the past would definitely not treat her like this, even slightly discomforting her.
"Xiuxiu, I’m sorry, I’m really sorry."
Bai Da quickly let go of Ye Xiu, and Bai Zhi walked over, positioning herself in front of Ye Xiu.
"Speak properly, don’t come any closer."
Bai Zhi frowned, her gaze fixed directly on Bai Da.
His cold demeanor infuriated Bai Da. He thought to himself that he was the father—what did Bai Zhi mean by this? He felt so infuriated that if he didn’t do something, he couldn’t swallow this pride.
He raised his hand to slap her, but Ye Xiu couldn’t pull Bai Zhi away in time,
only to find,
it was blocked. Bai Zhi grabbed Bai Da’s hand immediately, looking at him indifferently.
"You think, I would let you hit me? What right do you have?"
Bai Zhi gave a cold laugh. She was here solely because she worried that Bai Da would lose his sanity. From what it seemed now, the chances of Bai Da being a lunatic were at least eighty percent.
This man, his eyes as red as someone with conjunctivitis, and also filled with madness, she initially suspected, might have rabies.
Bai Da was stunned. He tried to pull his hand back, but found no matter how hard he tried, it was futile.
"Bai Zhi, let go of me, I am your dad, what are you doing?"
Bai Da glared at Bai Zhi, his eyes filled with disgust—a kind that burst forth from deep within.
Disgusting her this much? Now that was interesting.
In the original owner’s memories, she hadn’t done anything terribly wrong. In fact, before the group’s pet arrived, she’d been a good child who did her chores.
Why would Bai Da loathe her so? It was as if, behind the indifference, there was loathing, and behind the loathing, there was hatred.
Why? It seemed there was indeed a problem here.
