I Became My Elf King Character In A Game-Like World-Chapter 19: New Quest
Chapter 19 - New Quest
"From now on, our people will no longer need to survive on fruits and honey. Every elf in our domain shall drink nothing but Water from The Spring."
A stunned silence fell over the group.
Then, as if on cue— "Life Water?!" Elaria and the three generals exclaimed in unison, their voices filled with shock and reverence.
Renjiro arched an eyebrow. "You recognize it?"
Elaria took a deep breath, her voice trembling with uncontained excitement.
"Your Majesty... Life Water is the essence of our race. It is both our lifeblood and our source of magic. It is a sacred relic!"
Her hands clenched at her chest as she continued, eyes burning with emotion.
"Our ancient texts tell us that the only place where Life Water would naturally form was the heart of our ancestral homeland....Lake of the Goddess."
"But ever since our ancestors departed from the lake, our people have been forced to live without it..." She swallowed hard. "We thought it was lost forever."
Renjiro nodded in understanding. The records indeed mentioned this. He simply hadn't connected the dots until now.
Lorien, who had been silent until now, finally spoke.
"Your Majesty... how much Life Water can the Elunarian Spring produce?" she asked cautiously. "If it is limited, we should store it for emergencies instead of using it for daily consumption."
Renjiro simply gestured toward the Elunarian Spring's depths.
"See for yourselves." Elaria and the generals leaned forward. And then, "Ah...!" A collective gasp of disbelief escaped their lips. Because the entire Elunarian Spring, from edge to bottom, was completely filled with Life Water.
Although they could not see its true depth, its sheer volume was already enough for them to use their imagination.
Renjiro smiled calmly.
"This well alone can supply 10,000 elves with enough Life Water to last six months," he stated. "And the best part?" He let the anticipation hang in the air before delivering the final revelation.
"It never stops producing more." A heavy silence followed.
"Impossible..." Selena shook her head, struggling to believe what she had just heard. "If we have this much... then we could... we could..."
"Yes," Renjiro confirmed, his gaze unwavering. "With this, our people will never have to worry about hunger or weakness ever again."
A long pause. Then, as if in a daze, Elaria murmured, "Your Majesty... if you can create one Elunarian Spring... does that mean you could build more?"

Renjiro chuckled.
"Of course." He looked at them with absolute confidence.
"As long as we have enough gold, we could fill entire cities with Elunarian Springs. If you wanted to bathe in Life Water every day, you could."
The four elven women instantly flushed bright red. As pure and noble beings, they had never heard such a bold statement before—especially from their king.
Renjiro, completely unfazed, chuckled. "There's nothing to be embarrassed about," he said casually. "I take baths all the time myself."
Their faces burned even hotter. If he continued, they might just die of shame. Thankfully, their king soon shifted the conversation elsewhere.
"Lorien," Renjiro said, his tone returning to its usual commanding presence. "Our population has grown several times over, and it will continue to increase. Start construction immediately—build as many houses as possible."
Still flustered, Lorien quickly nodded. "Y-Yes, Your Majesty! I'll take care of it at once."
Satisfied, Renjiro gave a firm nod. After issuing his orders, Renjiro opened his status screen.

He frowned slightly.
"Only a little over 3,000 soldiers... That's still not enough to wipe out the Goblin Territory, which has tens of thousands of troops."
By individual strength, elves were far superior to goblins. Goblins were weak-bodied, unskilled in combat, and poorly equipped. Most of them fought with rusted iron weapons, and some even wielded wooden clubs and stones instead of proper arms.
If it came down to one-on-one combat, an elf could easily defeat several goblins without breaking a sweat.
But this was war.
The Goblin Land had sheer numbers on its side. Even with his elite elven warriors and ten Giant Golems, victory would come at a heavy cost.
Winning wasn't the issue. Minimizing losses was.
"I need to find a way to weaken their army first, or at least reduce our casualties as much as possible," Renjiro muttered to himself. Just then, a familiar system notification echoed in his mind.
[Ding!]

Renjiro's eyes narrowed.
"Well, speak of the devil." His lips curled into a cold smile. "That fool Goblin King really thinks he can muster his pathetic goblin horde and wipe out the entire Elf race?" Renjiro scoffed.
"That's suicide." He turned to Lorien and the other elves.
"Lorien," he ordered, his voice sharp with authority. "Take the warriors and get them settled. Also, distribute the Life Water—from now on, every elf in our domain must drink it daily. Their strength must be raised as quickly as possible."
"Yes, Your Majesty!" Lorien bowed deeply, her expression serious and determined.
The other elven leaders followed suit, nodding resolutely. They understood the urgency of his orders. With war looming on the side, there was no time to waste.
As the elves left to carry out their tasks, Renjiro turned to Elaria. "Let's return to the palace," he said.
Elaria nodded, walking beside him as they made their way back to the Royal Hall. The moment they arrived, Renjiro sat upon his ornate throne and opened his system interface once more.
'Open,' he commanded, his eyes gleaming. 'The equipment lottery.'
