Chapter 394: Chapter 394 Exam (9)

Drake’s eyes widened in terror. "FOOD has energy?? I thought food was just food!"

"It gives strength," Felix said calmly. "Teacher explained it. Food helps the body work."

Rocky gasped. "So... snacks are powerful?"

"Yes," Felix nodded. "Very."

Rocky clutched his notebook. "I knew it."

Kelpie flipped pages frantically. "Energy... energy... is it written here??" He turned his book upside down. "Why is energy hiding??"

Luna crossed her arms. "Energy is easy. You eat, you move, you don’t faint."

Drake looked horrified. "I move a lot."

"That means you need more food," Luna replied flatly.

Drake beamed. "Science likes me."

Boo floated down beside Lucien, poking his notebook. "Lucien. Why would you say that word before an exam?"

Lucien blinked innocently. "Teacher mentioned it once."

Boo gasped. "ONCE?? That’s enough for teacher to put it."

Sable hugged his book tighter. "I only memorized water and sunlight. Food was not in my plan."

Vlad Jr. turned a page calmly. "Food is a source of energy. Energy allows movement, growth, and thinking. It is unlikely teacher will complicate it."

Everyone stared at him again.

Boo whispered, "How does he know everything without panicking?"

Lucien sighed. "Because he reads instead of screaming."

Boo floated up again. "Alright! New rule!" he declared. "If teacher asks about food and energy, we write: food gives energy to the body so the body can play."

"That sounds right," Rocky said happily.

Drake nodded enthusiastically. "And eat snacks."

Felix added, "In moderation."

Everyone ignored Felix.

Outside the window, Alina leaned against the wall, laughing silently, one hand pressed to her mouth as she listened.

Food. Energy. Water. Snacks.

Science had never sounded so intense.

"Good morning!" Alina said brightly as she walked into the classroom, her voice carrying her good mood with it.

The reaction was immediate.

Eyes widened. Books slammed shut. Bags were hastily dragged to the corner and dumped in a pile that was definitely not organized in any way. In less than a minute, everyone was back in their seats, sitting very straight, stationery clutched in tiny hands like survival tools.

It was such an adorable sight that Alina had to pause for a second, smiling to herself.

She placed her folder neatly on her desk and set her bag on the chair beside it, then turned to face them, amusement clear in her eyes.

"Everyone knows today is the science paper, right?" she asked with a light chuckle.

All heads nodded at once. Some nodded very hard.

"Yes, teacher!" several voices answered together.

"We still have a little time before the exam starts," Alina continued gently, leaning against the desk. "So tell me, how is everyone’s preparation?"

There was a brief pause.

Kelpie lifted his hand first, bouncing slightly. "Teacher, I revised water a lot. Like... a LOT."

Drake raised his hand immediately after. "Teacher, I also revised water. And snacks."

"Snacks are not science," Luna said flatly.

"They give energy," Drake argued.

"That is science," Boo interrupted, nodding seriously. "Food is powerful."

Alina bit her lip, trying not to laugh.

Felix spoke calmly, hands folded. "I revised water, plants, sunlight, and food energy."

Rocky nodded eagerly. "I remember water helps the body and plants feel happy."

Sable raised his hand a little shyly. "Teacher... I revised sunlight and water."

Lucien sighed softly. "Everyone revised enough. Teacher said she will ask only what she taught."

Boo floated up slightly. "Yes, teacher is kind. Teacher does not attack babies with surprise topics."

Alina laughed openly this time, her heart warm as she looked at them. "Don’t worry. I won’t attack anyone," she said playfully. "You all prepared well. Just relax and do your best."

The babies visibly relaxed, shoulders dropping, tiny breaths letting out.

Science could wait a few more minutes. For now, they were safe.

"Teacher..." Vlad Jr. raised his hand slowly, his posture perfectly straight, his expression calm in a way that immediately felt dangerous. "Did you include questions related to heartbeat, air, gas, soil, and oxygen?"

The classroom froze.

Every single baby turned to stare at him in absolute horror.

Drake’s jaw dropped. "Heartbeat...?" he whispered, placing a hand on his chest as if checking whether it was still working.

Kelpie gasped. "Air and gas are different???"

Rocky looked down at the floor anxiously. "Soil...? Like dirt...? The one that sticks to shoes...?"

Sable’s eyes widened, and he hugged his shadows for comfort.

Boo slowly turned toward Vlad Jr., floating closer with narrowed eyes. "Vlad," he said gravely, "why would you say such scary words before an exam?"

Lucien rubbed his forehead. "You didn’t have to say all of them together."

Luna crossed her arms, glaring. "You just wanted to scare everyone."

Vlad Jr. blinked, genuinely confused. "I was merely asking for clarification."

Drake whimpered. "Clarification hurts."

Alina couldn’t hold it in anymore. She laughed softly, shaking her head as she looked at their expressions, half the class on the verge of collective panic.

"You will know when you receive the paper," she said warmly, eyes twinkling with gentle mischief.

Boo gasped dramatically. "That means maybe yes and maybe no."

"That is suspense," Felix said calmly.

"I hate suspense," Boo replied immediately.

Alina smiled at all of them, her heart full. "Relax. Take deep breaths. Science is not here to scare you."

Drake muttered, "It already did."

The tension eased just a little, though everyone side-eyed Vlad Jr. as if he had just summoned the spirit of difficult questions.

And Vlad Jr., completely unaware of the chaos he had caused, simply nodded politely and looked at his pen elegantly, feeling happy inside.

Meanwhile, Boo had completely lost his inner peace.

He started spinning angrily in his seat, hovering just an inch above the chair as he muttered dark threats under his breath. Something about booing Vlad Jr. at night, possibly involving spooky echoes, dramatic floating, and absolutely no real plan.

Luna sighed deeply and covered her ears with both hands. "I swear," she muttered, "if someone says one more topic name, I’m done with educotton. I’d rather go hunting than sit through another exam. I am a big hunter, not a science baby."

Felix glanced at her calmly. "You are still in school, and that’s education, not educotton."

"That is temporary," Luna replied firmly. "And whatever it’s called—education or whatever!"
