I Became a Kindergarten Teacher for Monster Babies!-Chapter 384 Dante’s room
Dante let out a long, steady breath and opened his eyes again, giving Alina a gentle, apologetic look.
"You may sleep wherever you feel comfortable," he said softly, choosing his words with care this time. "My room included... only if you feel unsafe."
Alina swallowed hard and nodded weakly. "Y-yes, sir..."
Lucien and Sable exchanged glances, their faces lighting up so brightly that it was obvious how excited they felt.
Alina stood frozen in place, the echo of Dante’s words ringing softly in her ears as she slowly became aware of the fact that she was being stared at. Not casually, not briefly, but with complete focus. Three very different pairs of eyes were fixed on her, all waiting for her answer, as if the world itself had paused for her decision.
Dante stood in front of her, tall and unmoving, his expression serious and composed. Yet there was a quiet tension in his gaze, a careful watchfulness, as though he were bracing himself for whatever she might say. He did not pressure her or speak again, but his attention never left her face. It was steady and grounding, and it made her heartbeat quicken.
Beside him, Sable’s eyes shone with unrestrained hope, wide and bright. His small hands were clenched together as he bounced ever so slightly on his feet, already imagining the warmth of sleeping together. And then there was Lucien. He looked up at her silently, his big eyes soft and longing, touched with a faint sadness that tugged painfully at her heart, as if he were afraid she might say no, as if he were trying very hard not to hope too much.
Alina’s thoughts tangled instantly. Her mind went blank, her heartbeat thundered in her ears, and all she could feel was the weight of their trust pressing gently but firmly against her chest. How was she supposed to think straight when she was being looked at like that? When one pair of eyes held calm authority, another sparkled with innocent excitement, and the third carried quiet, fragile hope?
Her lips parted before she even realized she had made a decision.
"...Yes."
The word slipped out softly, almost shyly, but it was enough.
Lucien’s face transformed in an instant, the sadness vanishing as relief and happiness bloomed across his features. Sable let out a tiny gasp of joy, his eyes lighting up as if a miracle had just happened, and he rushed forward immediately to wrap his arms around Alina’s legs, hugging her tightly. Dante’s gaze softened just a fraction, the tension easing from his shoulders as he nodded once, slowly and thoughtfully.
"Follow me," he said, turning and walking toward his room.
He took only a few steps before reaching the door and pushing it open, the heavy wood moving without a sound. Alina followed him inside with hesitant steps, her fingers curling lightly at her sides. The moment she crossed the threshold, she felt as though she had entered a space that reflected him completely.
The bed stood tall and imposing, far larger than any bed she had ever seen, its dark frame carved with elegant, ancient patterns. The walls were deep and shadowed, textured with subtle designs that caught the dim light in quiet, dramatic ways, giving the room a sense of age and authority rather than coldness.
The bedroom was styled in a classic, almost regal manner, dominated by black and deep red tones that felt powerful yet strangely comforting. Soft, dim lighting glowed from carefully placed lamps, casting warm shadows instead of harsh brightness. A rich red carpet covered the floor, thick beneath her feet and muffling every step. On one side stood a tall bathroom door, dark and solid, and beside it a massive wardrobe that looked capable of holding an entire lifetime of secrets.
Everything in the room felt large, deliberate, and commanding, just like Dante himself. As Alina stood there quietly, taking it all in, her heart beat a little faster, overwhelmed not by fear, but by the intimacy of being allowed into such a personal space.
"Dad!" Lucien and Sable exclaimed together the moment they spotted the bed, their sleepy excitement bursting out all at once.
They rushed toward it in their night clothes, hair still messy from sleep, then turned back to look at Dante with bright, expectant eyes. His lips curved slightly, the faintest hint of a smile touching his face, and he walked over before easily lifting both boys at once, one tucked under each arm as though they weighed nothing. He placed them gently on the bed, arranging them with practiced ease and pulling the blankets just right around their small bodies.
Lucien immediately wriggled closer to the pillows, while Sable sat upright for a moment, smiling happily before flopping down with a satisfied sigh.
Dante straightened and turned, only to find Alina still standing there, watching the scene with a soft, overwhelmed expression. Warmth spread through her chest, her cheeks heating up, and she quickly looked away.
"I... I’m going to change," she said in a rush, her voice slightly breathless. 𝚏𝕣𝕖𝚎𝚠𝚎𝚋𝚗𝐨𝐯𝕖𝕝.𝕔𝐨𝕞
She placed her bag on the nearby couch, pulled out her nightwear and bath necessities with hurried fingers, and slipped into the bathroom before she could overthink it. Dante only nodded calmly, as if this were the most natural thing in the world, then climbed onto the bed himself with effortless grace. Lucien immediately scooted closer to him.
Inside the bathroom, Alina froze.
Her eyes widened as she took everything in. The space was enormous, far larger than her entire room back home. A deep, luxurious bathtub sat at the center, surrounded by wide open space that felt almost intimidating in its grandeur. There was a separate shower area with dark glass panels, a massive mirror stretching across one wall, and smooth stone surfaces that reflected the dim light softly.
Everything was clean, elegant, and overwhelming.
She pressed her lips together, her face burning again, and shook her head lightly as if scolding herself.
Why am I blushing over a bathroom?
She exhaled slowly, forcing her racing heart to calm before getting ready.
