Chapter 350: Chapter 350 Miss Alina definitely feels something for me

"You won’t." His voice dropped even lower, warm enough to soften every inch of the air between them. "I don’t mind watching over them. Or watching over you."

Her heart gave one tiny, disobedient flutter.

She tucked her phone quietly beside her pillow and eased down beneath the blanket. The warm light of the turtle bus wrapped around her in a soft embrace, and as her head touched the pillow, sleep pulled at her like tender hands.

Through half-closed eyes she saw him glance at her once more, his expression unreadable yet strangely gentle.

"Sleep well, Miss Alina."

And this time, she did not fight it. She drifted into dreams.

Dante watched Miss Alina’s breathing soften into a gentle rhythm, her lashes resting like small shadows against her cheeks. A faint smile touched his lips, slow and quiet, almost indulgent. He blinked once, then again, and the smile only deepened.

Well, well... Miss Alina definitely feels something for me. Otherwise why would she trust me this easily?

The thought warmed him in a way he was not used to, a quiet pleasure settling beneath his ribs. He looked away only when a tiny stir of movement tugged at his attention.

Lucien.

The little one had opened his eyes, blinking sleepily in the dim golden light. He had clearly woken after hearing his father’s voice, his expression soft and a little dazed.

Dante watched as Lucien pushed himself up and looked around at the peaceful chaos of the sleeping children.

Drake was curled like a warm dumpling, snoring gently, his chubby cheeks rising with each breath.

Vlad Jr. slept elegantly with both hands resting neatly over his chest, looking like a tiny prince laid to rest.

Luna had shifted into her wolf pup form, her soft grey head resting on her paws as she breathed in little puffs.

Boo had wrapped his entire body under the blanket.

Sable had curled up so tightly he looked like a small shadowy cat.

Felix had shifted too, his fluffy tail draped over his face.

Rocky’s bed seemed empty at first glance until the small round bulge in the center made it clear he was in full rock mode, quietly sleeping.

"Lucien?" Dante whispered.

Lucien turned instantly, his eyes brightening just a little at the sound of his father’s voice. He slid down from his small bed and padded toward Dante’s side. Dante lifted his blanket slightly, patting the empty space next to him.

"Come here."

Lucien climbed up without hesitation, settling against his father’s side. Dante wrapped an arm around him and pulled him close, planting a warm kiss on his son’s soft cheek.

"Not sleepy?" Dante murmured, voice low and tender.

Lucien shook his head, though his eyes already looked glossy and drowsy. "Sleepy... but I woke up," he whispered, half mumbling.

Dante rubbed his head gently, brushing his fingers against the tiny horn peeking through his hair. Lucien relaxed instantly, curling deeper into his father’s arms.

"You enjoyed today?" Dante asked softly, brushing his thumb over Lucien’s little brow.

Lucien nodded, his voice small but excited. "Yeah. It was fun. I made other friends too."

Dante let out a quiet chuckle meant only for his son. "Yes, you did. And the food?"

Lucien perked up, just barely. "It was nice. I thought it would be only fish, but they had so many things. I didn’t know underwater could have so many foods."

"Well," Dante murmured, brushing his cheek against Lucien’s hair, "there are many things in this world we don’t know yet. That’s why we should explore."

Lucien nodded seriously, as if agreeing to an important mission. "Then Dad, prepare more trips for us."

Dante smiled, amused by the earnest demand. "Of course. Where do you want to go next... hmm?"

Lucien’s sleepy eyes brightened with sudden inspiration.

"I want to go... in a train," he said softly, remembering a movie he had watched. "I want to see the scenery... sleep in small beds... be with you... and my friends... and Miss Alina..."

"Oh," Dante murmured, genuinely surprised. "A train, hm? Not a bad idea." He brushed a hand through Lucien’s hair. "Maybe after the holidays."

Lucien nodded, his small head bobbing gently, already drifting toward dreams.

Dante kept stroking his head, the motion slow and soothing.

"Where else do you want to go?" he asked in a voice softer than the warm lights around them.

Lucien’s reply came faintly, already slurred by sleep. "I... also want to go... to amusement park..."

And just like that, he drifted off completely, his small body warm, breathing steady, his tiny horn resting against Dante’s chest as if it were the safest place in the world.

Dante held him gently, his own eyes soft.

Outside, the turtle bus continued its gentle journey home, carrying a sleeping class and two adults whose hearts were quietly learning to beat toward each other.

Alina felt someone calling her name and her eyes fluttered open. It took her a full two seconds to remember where she was.

And then she saw him.

"Miss Alina?"

Dante stood beside her bed, his tall frame outlined by the dim light. Lucien was curled securely in his arms, still fast asleep with his cheek resting on his father’s shoulder. Dante’s voice was low, gentle, almost careful.

She blinked, lifting her head slightly. "Hmm...?" Her voice came out soft and hoarse, and her hair was a complete mess, strands sticking out in every direction like sleepy little waves.

"We’re reaching the kindergarten," Dante said. "I already sent personal messages to all parents. They’ll be here to pick up the babies."

Alina nodded, still half-dreaming, and let out a long, sleepy yawn she could not hold back. Outside, the turtle bus gave a heavy rumble, and the soft thud of landing made the beds tremble lightly. She rubbed her eyes as Dante carefully placed Lucien back onto his small bedding.

"We shouldn’t wake them," he murmured quietly. "Let them sleep. We can carry them to their guardians."

"Mm-hmm..." she agreed, pushing her hair behind her ears as she finally sat up.
