Once Zong Fang appeared, he was almost immediately attacked by Ruka and Leberli. Throwing Carl to the ground, he engaged in a tough fight with the other two. Without his self-healing talent, Zong Fang was almost evenly matched with Ruka, and with Leberli added to the mix, he found it somewhat difficult to cope.

Sang Yan did not join in; his gaze immediately settled on Qiao Suisui, who had appeared alongside Zong Fang.

"Are you alright?"

He looked her over from head to toe several times, while Ah Yao and Gai Meilun also gathered around. Gai Meilun animatedly recounted to her everything that had happened since her disappearance, while Ah Yao stood silently aside, using his burly body to shield Qiao Suisui from any stray harm from the nearby battlefield.

Sang Yan watched her intently, seeing that she seemed to have little energy, he stopped Gai Meilun from continuing his endless chatter.

"She must be very tired, let her rest first."

Grateful, Qiao Suisui glanced his way and then took two steps forward, addressing the three who had just paused in their skirmish, "I have something to say to you."

Ruka looked at Qiao Suisui, feeling instinctively that something about her had changed. Not her appearance, but something within her heart.

Leberli was the first to walk over and take her hand, "We'll talk back at the Imperial Court."

Though Qiao Suisui did not pull away, she stood still, calmly saying, "Ash, let's just talk about it here."

Leberli was taken aback, frowning with a foreboding feeling. Just as he was about to coax her, he saw Zong Fang walk over to her other side and forcefully grasp her fingers, declaring an undisguised possession, to which Qiao Suisui offered no resistance.

Leberli's face darkened instantly.

Ruka also looked at their interlocked fingers, his golden irises growing intense.

Eager to follow, Gai Meilun was abruptly held back by Sang Yan.

Sang Yan said, "Go back to the room."

Gai Meilun said, "Brother Yan, aren't you anxious? Don't you want to know what they're going to talk about?"

Ah Yao also turned to Sang Yan, but the latter merely took a deep look in their direction before speaking, "Give her some space. Don't crowd her. She looks very tired."

At Sang Yan's word, Gai Meilun and Ah Yao had no choice but to return to their rooms, taking Carl, who had turned into a snow leopard, with them for treatment.

Suddenly, the first floor was left with only Qiao Suisui and the three men.

"Suisui, are you hurt?" Leberli asked, pulling her close, but the man on the other side was holding onto her and wouldn't let go.

Caught between the two, Qiao Suisui closed her eyes wearily.

"Both of you let go of me."

The two men exchanged glances, both spotting the cold intent in each other's eyes, yet neither made a move.

Seeing this, Ruka stepped forward, pulling her hands away from both men. He looked down at her and asked softly, "What do you want to say?"

"I want to go to school."

All three men were taken aback.

"Suisui, whatever you want to learn, I'll have someone come to the Imperial Court, and from now on, they'll be exclusively in charge of serving you," Leberli said, still not giving up on getting her to return to the Imperial Court.

Thoughtfulness flickered in Zong Fang's eyes, but he remained silent.

Ruka asked, "Why would you want to go to school?"

Qiao Suisui answered, "I have spiritual power now. Although it's only C-class, there's a lot I need to learn."

Like how to control weapons with spiritual power, how to defend, how to enhance one's own spiritual power, and so on. Most importantly, she needed to socialize. Being protected by them every day, only able to see the world through the Star Network, she had no real understanding of the outside world. Undeniably, Carl's words had indeed provoked her.

Ruka said, "This won't be easy, I'm worried your body can't take it. If you want to learn, I can teach you."

Qiao Suisui smiled at him and shook her head, "It would be my honor to be taught by Colonel Sikoses, known as the 'Sword of the Empire', but I want to go to school."

Ruka was clearly the one who understood her the best among the three of them. Knowing she spoke like this, he realized she had made up her mind, so he didn't rush to refute her. However, Leberli's mood was on the verge of exploding the second he saw Zong Fang leading her in, and he had been holding back for her sake, but upon realizing she seemingly had no intention of returning to the Imperial Court with him, he finally couldn't contain himself any longer.

"We can discuss this matter later, for now, I am taking you with me."

He came up to take her away by force, and Ruka frowned, thinking to stop him, but Zong Fang had already attacked him first.

Zong Fang stared coldly at Leberli, "Are you deaf? She said she wants to go to school."

But Leberli only looked at Qiao Suisui, his speech faster than usual, the words he asked seemed to carve into his own heart.

"You're together with him, aren't you?"

Ruka too looked at Qiao Suisui, waiting for her answer. Although he wasn't as agitated as Leberli, he felt very troubled inside, just habitually restraining his emotions.

Previously, Qiao Suisui had never clearly stated who she was with. Even with Ruka, it was only after she bore his child that they began to grow close as they tacitly agreed to co-parent the cub. Ruka also very tacitly never mentioned this, because he didn't want to pressure her.

It was because Leberli observed the way Ruka interacted with her that he felt it wasn't right, so he insisted on a formal relationship. That was why he insisted that Qiao Suisui return to the Imperial Court because once she went back, she would discover that Leberli had already secretly prepared a grand coupling ceremony, planning to surprise her.

Qiao Suisui knew she couldn't avoid it this time, so she got straight to the point, "Yes. I am carrying Zong Fang's child."

Leberli's face turned a mix of colors as if someone had overturned a paint palette, his expression changing uncontrollably, a low pressure radiating from him. Ruka wasn't doing much better; his chest rose and fell slightly, his golden pupils becoming unfathomably deep in an instant.

"So, Suisui, are you telling me now that you plan to make him your mate?"

Leberli let out a self-deprecating laugh. He really wanted to tear open her body to see what her heart was made of, but he knew he couldn't bear to do it, even the questioning at this moment feeling feeble.

Zong Fang's lips were hard to keep from smiling. He was about to take over the conversation, not wanting to let her face it alone, when he heard Qiao Suisui denying, "No. I don't plan to couple with anyone."

Zong Fang's smile froze on his face.

Qiao Suisui didn't even look at him, serenely announcing to the three men, "I plan to live here. I'll take a couple of days to rest, then see if there's a school that will take me."

Having said that, she expressed she was tired and walked towards the second floor. Zong Fang wasn't about to imprison her every so often anymore, so going back to the Imperial Court was unnecessary.

Qiao Suisui displayed an unusual assertiveness. Although she was still soft-spoken, speaking in a low volume, she made the three men feel she was different from before.

Ruka silently walked out, asking a guard for a cigarette and lighting it up.

Leberli was still digesting Qiao Suisui's words... not considering coupling... those words unsettled him even more than hearing she was with Zong Fang.

Meanwhile, Zong Fang, with reddened eyes, had already chased after her. He grabbed Qiao Suisui's arm, forcing her to face him, stabilizing her waist when he saw her stance was unsteady, and cornered her on the stairs.

"Explain to me what you mean by not planning to couple with anyone?"
