I Am the Only Fertile Woman in the Game-Chapter 48: The Pioneer Trio
Following a series of ’bang’ ’bang’ ’bang,’ a room suddenly had a table, chairs, a sofa, and a carpet. Anyone unaware would have thought Qiao Suisui was popping corn.
She stood at the doorway and glanced at the overall layout, nodding with satisfaction. The room’s style was cozy and simple, and even the lighting was something she had specifically researched. Instead of using overt lighting, she had embedded light strips at the junction between the walls and the floor of the room, which activated automatically upon entry, casting a soft light throughout the space.
She found good angles and took several photos of the room, each from a different perspective.
"Room number 1, missing a curtain," she recorded meticulously in her notebook.
The next was room number 2, which was a partitioned area created from the living room, with one wall not being solid, hence it didn’t soundproof well. Qiao Suisui moved several packages over there and followed the same process: arrange them properly, then confirm. Several pieces of furniture appeared as if by magic.
This room, intended for a single person’s rental, had a rent that was half that of the other rooms, yet it lacked none of the basic amenities. A single bed, a small sofa, table and chairs, wardrobe, carpet, and even an extra potted plant for decoration—it all leaned towards a gender-neutral and minimalist style, looking very cozy.
Qiao Suisui took photos of room number 2 and made her records.
By the time she had finished the two rooms, she felt somewhat tired and was just thinking about resting when she suddenly heard a knock at the door.
She checked the time, thinking it was unlikely to be Ruka, then approached the door. Remembering Lanze’s advice, she cautiously asked, "Who’s there?"
"We’re Pathfinders, looking to borrow some tools."
Qiao Suisui activated the video camera and saw three people standing at the doorway, one of whom seemed injured, carried on the back of a burly male. The urgency was apparent on the face of the one knocking, but no response came from within.
"We don’t need anything else, just clean water, a thread, and scissors will do," they said.
"Sang Yan, let it be. We just heard a female’s voice from inside; if her guardian or spouse isn’t here, she probably won’t open the door for us," one of them commented.
"But Gai Meilun, he..."
The sentence was cut off as the door slowly opened from the inside, revealing a small head poking out.
Both males looked over immediately and saw a girl in a white dress standing at the doorway. Her hair was black and shiny like satin, falling over her shoulders as she slightly turned her body. Her delicate features were exceptionally exquisite on her small palm-sized face, especially her unforgettable eyes, which were observing them, looing slightly nervous yet clever.
"What’s wrong with him?" Qiao Suisui inquired, gazing at the male who seemed barely alive on the other’s back.
Returning to his senses after hearing her speak, Sang Yan said, "He was bitten by a Wandering Beastman. We need to stitch the wound urgently."
The large figure on the steps gently laid the person down, unraveling the band of clothing bound around Gai Meilun’s abdomen, exposing a ghastly wound.
Upon seeing the man’s exposed intestines almost spilling out, Qiao Suisui immediately covered her mouth.
"Ah Yao! You’ve scared her," Sang Yan hastily moved in front of Qiao Suisui, full of apology. "I’m sorry, we mean no harm. Could you get us some water and thread if you have any?"
Qiao Suisui understood they intended to perform first aid on their friend themselves, but with such a wound, merely sewing it up without disinfection risked infection, didn’t it?
She looked around, noticing that personnel from the Military Department were stationed not far away, which somewhat eased her mind.
"Bring him inside," she suggested.
After saying this, Qiao Suisui fully opened the door and stood aside, signaling them to enter.
Sang Yan and Ah Yao couldn’t believe it, shock apparent in their eyes, particularly after seeing Qiao Suisui’s pregnant belly. She wasn’t an Artificial Female, but a naturally birthing female? She had been standing behind the door, covering most of her body, which is why they hadn’t seen it. Only now did they notice the bulge beneath her loose-fitting dress.
Ah Yao looked somewhat simple-minded; he glanced at Sang Yan, uncertain of what to do.
Sang Yan also frowned, looking at Qiao Suisui and saying, "Are you at home by yourself? Where is your spouse?"
She felt that although the two males in front of her were not bad people, she was reluctant to talk about her own situation and didn’t want others to think she was helpless, so she said, "They’re all out, they’ll be back soon."
Sang Yan thought that it wasn’t really appropriate for them to enter the little female’s house. This was the first time in his life that he had seen a pregnant female, so one could imagine how much her mates must cherish her. The Pathfinders often performed missions on planets with radiation levels exceeding the standard, what if they affected the little female....
"If you keep hesitating, he might die from excessive blood loss."
Sang Yan looked towards Gai Meilun, noticing his breathing was getting weaker, and he frowned deeply.
"How about this, you just give us the items, and we’ll handle the rest ourselves."
Qiao Suisui understood that he didn’t want to come inside, so she didn’t invite him again. She nodded her head, then closed the door and took out the "Medical Box" from the storage compartment that she had received as a reward last time, and also gave them a small bucket of water.
"I think you need this."
Sang Yan quickly went up to take the heavy object from her hands, while Ah Yao repeatedly thanked her.
"Thank you. You... make sure to lock your door. We’re leaving now."
Qiao Suisui nodded, then watched as Sang Yan and Ah Yao walked to a tree not far away and began to suture Gai Meilun’s wounds. She wondered if they could rest well in that place, then shook her head and stopped thinking about it, closing the door to attend to her own business.
An afternoon passed, and Gai Meilun’s wound had been properly treated. Ah Yao took off his bloodied gloves, and with a touch of girlishness, tied a butterfly knot on the bandaged area, then wiped the sweat from his forehead with his arm.
"That should do it, I didn’t expect the stuff to be so comprehensive. Gai Meilun is certain to recover quickly."
The Medical Box rewarded by the System contained items that were all customized for this world, comprehensive and professional.
After saying this, Ah Yao didn’t hear Sang Yan chime in and raised his head to look at him, only to see him staring unblinkingly at the two-story house, his brows tightly furrowed.
"What are you looking at?"
"How come her mates haven’t come back yet?"
"Why do you care? It’s their family’s business."
"This place could be visited by Wandering Beastmen at any time. She’s alone at home, and this is the only dwelling in the entire area. What if she’s…"
Sang Yan trailed off and fell silent, reluctant to consider that possibility. The little female looked so fragile and trusted others so easily; she even dared to invite them into her home, clearly too well-protected to know the dangers.

Ah Yao initially planned to rest against the tree trunk but, hearing Sang Yan’s words, felt there was some sense to them and walked over to stand next to him.
When Sang Yan saw him approaching, he gave him a glance.
"What are you doing?"
"Standing guard for the little female."
Ah Yao’s thinking was simple: whoever saved his brother was his brother too.
Sang Yan didn’t say anything, and the two of them stood guard silently, not too far from the little house, until the sky was completely dark, and a Flying Ship finally descended slowly in front of the house.
