I Am Genie-Chapter 51: Success!
Another three months passed. During this time Leo and Michael trained diligently in a strange way they had never even thought of in their entire lives. This led to them looking more and more like psychos.
Saying psychos might be a bit much, but you could say temporarily psychopathic. Their brains were constantly pushed to the limit, making it so Raphael couldn’t talk to them because they wouldn’t register a single word.
Suddenly the two of them stopped, mouths not babbling, no longer multitasking, and just sat silently with their eyes closed for a few seconds.
"Maybe... it’s time to try domain expansion, huh?"
Michael wiped his forehead, his gaze both curious and determined. In the past three months, he hadn’t used domain expansion a single additional time, only focusing on training his foundation.
"You first or me first?"
Leo also wanted to try. After the failure months ago, he was even more determined to be able to use domain expansion as soon as possible.
"Me first. Anyway, I said before I’d show you an example, but I still haven’t finished it yet."
"Okay, need to prepare anything else?"
"Hmm... later, if it succeeds, I’ll mark your body. Don’t resist, don’t resist, okay?"
"Ok."
Michael immediately transformed into his Master Chef state. Lately, to unify training intensity, the two of them used human forms for consistency.
His nimble fingers immediately formed hand seals, his expression serious as if about to face an extremely tough challenge.
Domain Expansion – Supreme Kitchen!
In that instant, the domain expanded, immediately covering a radius of fifty meters. The details of the objects within the domain that Michael perceived were no longer as detailed as before, but at this level, it was enough for actual combat.
His gaze turned toward Leo, a mark belonging to the Cook God flashed in his eyes, and he placed it on Leo’s body.
"Huh? This is the feeling of being temporarily marked? It’s not... really bad."
Leo assessed it and looked around. He saw the space had a thin, blood-red mist that was also a bit mentally irritating. However you looked at it, it resembled a technique of an evil force.
"F*ck! You dare call this the ability of the Cook God? However I look at it, it seems like the domain of some kind of evil god or demon."
"Ha ha ha, I can finally use a domain! And f*ck, don’t mock me. Go mock the Cook God, he’s the one who named it. Besides, your Eat God, I feel like it’s probably not like the real Eat God either."
Michael laughed loudly at the successful test, then immediately changed his expression to curse at Leo. Of course, joy still dominated his mind. Six months of training that made him feel he was going crazy had finally yielded worthy results.
"Want to try the feeling of teleporting?"
"Huh?"
Before Leo could react, Michael clapped his hands. Leo felt dizzy, the surroundings suddenly changed, making him momentarily not know where he was. Looking around, he then saw Michael was in a spot about forty meters away from him.
"Truly... miraculous. Power that belongs only to gods is indeed unreasonable."
He inwardly sighed in admiration while also looking forward to trying out his own domain ability. According to the description he perceived from within his body, that ability was also extremely crazy.
"Hey, get me back now." Leo waved and shouted.
Michael immediately clapped his hands again. The stone that had just appeared in front of him immediately vanished, replaced by Leo who had returned.
"How does it feel? Too hard to adapt? Losing focus? Do you think it has potential for coordination?"
A series of rapid-fire questions made Leo, who was already dazed, become stupefied for even longer. After a few seconds, he finally nodded firmly.
"The first time was a bit dizzying, but it’s adaptable. With enough practice, I think our potential for combat coordination will reach a new level."
As an experienced warrior, Leo immediately assessed the potential of the Supreme Kitchen domain.
Raphael stood in the distance secretly observing, continuously rubbing his eyes. Everything happening right before his eyes was too unreal.
’What the hell? How did Leo move like that? Why is Michael’s energy output so little? Just a single clap, using a tiny bit of energy, and he can move someone? And what the hell is that domain anyway? Why does it look like something evil to me?’
A pile of questions assaulted the mind of someone who considered himself knowledgeable about most high-level things in the world. Raphael didn’t understand, couldn’t possibly understand, as if everything he had seen before was just the mouth of a small well. The real sky was only now revealing itself before his eyes.
He wiped his forehead, a vein on his head twitching from mental overwork. He was curious, he wanted to analyze, and also wanted to experience the feeling inside that domain.
"Maybe try a little bit? Standing outside looking in, I don’t understand anything."
Saying that, he immediately appeared at the border of the domain. Taking one step inside, his heart skipped a beat from extreme surprise, and he immediately left.
"What the hell? Mental suppression? That kid detected me the moment I stepped in? I clearly tried my best to hide my presence."
Raphael was bewildered, a drop of sweat he didn’t know when had started flowing down from his forehead. Although he felt the domain couldn’t hurt him, the problem was Michael’s current strength was at level zero. If Michael were at the same level, wouldn’t he definitely lose?
A domain basically gives the user a feeling of controlling everything inside, excluding living creatures. But saying that doesn’t mean Michael couldn’t ’see’ an intruder. He just couldn’t see through their body to check their energy level or analyze their weaknesses.
"Huh? What was that old guy doing coming in? And the moment I noticed him, he left. Probably just curious. Anyway, domains can’t be used by anyone who isn’t a god’s successor or a god himself."
Michael muttered and tossed the existence of Raphael out of his thoughts. Right now he didn’t need to pay any mind to Raphael.
