Husband you've abandoned me. Fine, I'll focus on raising my son-Chapter 46: Will you punish me?
"We didnโt get a chance to greet you at the Acland event unfortunately so many others attendees got to you before we could," he informed me. ๐ฏ๐ป๐ฎ๐๐ฌ๐ฎ๐๐๐ค๐๐๐ก.๐๐๐ถ
So they had attended the event? I had wondered why I hadnโt seen them.
"Ah, I see. I hope you enjoyed it," I said to them.
"Yes of course, it was a lovely event, my son and I had a lovely evening," he told me,
"Iโm glad to hear that," I replied.
"I also would like to apologise once again for my daughters actions. I understand sheโs still causing you trouble," he said to me.
The Towers family and the Aclands were still good acquaintances despite our business deal from three years ago being over. There was a possibility for future partnerships. When I kicked Jasmine out of the house apologising on her behalf and the word began to go around about the awful things she was doing they came to meet me and apologise on her behalf. They didnโt want Jasmines actions to affect wanted to ruin the relationship we have. They also tried to speak with Jasmine and get her apologise and make amends with me and Diana but she refused insisting the claims were not true.
"We do not condone her behaviour whatsoever. Whatever you deem fit in handling her as her husband, we stand behind your decision." Her father informed me.
"Donโt worry, women often get jealous," I said to them not trying to come too angry. "Iโll try not be too harsh on her, however, I will be divorcing her."
Regardless, of what Jasmine did I would judge her actions separately from her father and brother. I stared more at the two, they looked very similar to each other. Unlike Jasmine who was different. She had chestnut brown hair and green eyes. She had told me she looks more like her mother. Iโd never met Jasmineโs mother because she had died from an illness when she was young.
"Well then weโll leave you to enjoy your evening," Mr Towers said to me.
We exchanged our good byes and the Towers left me. I thought of Jasmine as they left and the meeting I would have with her this weekend.
JASMINES POV
I opened the door and was met with a man standing by the porch.
It took me a moment I took him in and then my eyes widened and facial expression changed to one of horror.
"Keith?" I said in confusion.
"Jasmine,"he said my name.
There was no way he was here. Why?
"Oh my god Keith, what do you want now?" I asked him irritated.
โWow, youโre not even trying to hide the fact that you donโt want to see me," he said to me taken aback by my tone.
"You come unannounced, for god knows what, and you expect me to be happy to see you?" I asked him.
I had forgotten about Keith the last two weeks since his last visit. I had been preoccupied by literally everything else; Louis Carrington, Mike etc. Obviously it wasnโt a good sign if he was here.
"Your tone is a bit much donโt you think?" he warned.
"What? will you punish me?" I taunted him. His blue eyes narrowed as they glared at me. "Go on then do it. Itโs not like I have much to lose anyway." I egged him on.
Seeing him had reignited the anger I felt for him. The only things that I still relied on him for were this house and Tonyโs school fees. I wasnโt afraid of talking to him the way I wanted.
He bit his lip in frustration. " You really arenโt afraid to poke the bear, are you?" He then commented.
I shrugged at him. I felt I was even angrier now for my past life and for the interaction weโd had the last time. I turned and walked away from the door, Keith followed after me
"I donโt think anyone has ever spoken to me like this, not even my parents," he said to me from behind me.
"Youโre a billionaire Keith most people will kiss your feet if they have to," I explained to him why everyone was always so polite to him. The perks of being one of the most powerful men in the country.
"So what you only spoke to me nicely in the past because you wanted my money?" He asked.
"I spoke to you nicely because that was my job as your arranged wife. That doesnโt apply anymore," I informed him.
"You know you are still my wife," he told me.
I turned to look at him and scoffed . He was acting like he wasnโt preparing a divorce right now, but donโt worry I was preparing one too.
"Mum who is it?" Tony asked as he came into the hallway.
His eyes landed on Keith and his facial expression changed to one of longing.
"Hello Anthony," Keith greeted him.
"Hello dad," he greeted him back. Seeing I was talking to Keith Tony left.
"Iโm surprised you still remember his name considering youโve completely abandoned him," I retorted.
"Oh Jasmine, I was providing for you and him itโs you whose refused
"Because thatโs all a child needs right?" I retorically asked. "They donโt need to spend time with the parent at all?"
"The house is so clean." he commented and changed the subject. He watched me and the looked around the house. " You really are doing everything on your own. Itโs surprising."
"What? You expected me to suffer?" I asked him.
"When did you learn to do all this? I didnโt know you were capable," he said to me.
"Keith, I have laundry to do right now so if you came to make comments Iโd rather not, " I disrespectfully told him as I picked up the laundry basket I had left in the hallway heading for the backyard
" Jasmine letโs talk," he then said following close behind.
"What am I being accused of this time?"
"What?" He asked.
"Why else would you come to see me unless Iโm in trouble," I explained.
"Jasmine Iโve just come to talk to you." He responded.
"We have nothing to say to each other. Arenโt you the one who never wanted to talk to me and avoided me like the plague? Whatโs changed?" I asked him. Especially if he was here to yell at me about something. I wonder what Diana had accused me of this time.
