How To End This Marriage-Chapter 96: Question Linger
Princess Sylvia paid no attention to the supreme god. She wasn’t even aware if what she was seeing was reality or just an illusion of her own mind, but as the duchess portrayed it as the supreme god, she found it hard to believe. It was difficult for her to believe that the duchess had been surrounded by such a malevolent aura, and she had no idea how to escape it.
Her memories churned inside her.
"Grandfather, what are you doing to me?" she asked.
"Little princess, your powers are too dangerous for mankind, so I’m trying to keep them locked away," the previous ruler of the tribal empire said.
"Power? What is that? Can I leap high? Can I soar in the sky like my father, fighting in the heavens and defeating our enemies?" Sylvia asked.
"This is not that kind of power, princess. Your powers are growing within you. You have a strong core inside you that’s making you even stronger, even though you’ve never once trained to gain these powers," the previous ruler said.
"Then how did I acquire these powers?" she asked.
"This old man has no idea either. But you are a special child. You were born with an exceptionally high-level core within you, so you mustn’t tell anyone about this. Keep it a secret, or trouble will find you and pursue you," the previous ruler said, snapping Sylvia out of her reverie.
"Yes, my grandfather told me I have gained some power that I didn’t acquire through cultivation, even though I sometimes tried to emulate him. Just like this god is telling me. And how on earth couldn’t his attacks penetrate my shield when a god should possess powers beyond those of humans?" Sylvia pondered, while, in absent-mindedness, a golden light pierced through her, letting her know that the god had finally been able to harm her. Her chest was pierced by the golden light, causing her to scream in pain.
"Have you finally realized the power of the god?" the god mocked her. But as she saw that face again, memories flooded her mind like a book flipping rapidly before her. She could see bright white pillars, people in extraordinary attire, and finally, she found herself wearing something she had never worn before: an outfit that shone no less than a jewel, with minimalistic yet attractive jewelry that enhanced her features, making her feel like a different person.
"What are you doing to me? Stop it! Stop messing with my head!" Sylvia shouted, startling the god.
"I’m not doing anything," he said, confused.
"Then whose memory is this? Why is it distorting my perception?" She held her head tightly and cried out in pain.
"Princess, where are you going? The Supreme Mother will be furious if she discovers you’ve escaped like this." Some girls approached and tried to stop the other Sylvia in her mind.
"I’ll return before anyone notices," she winked at them and escaped through her window."
Your passage has a few grammar and punctuation issues. Here’s a revised version:
"Ahhh, you’re tampering with my mind. Stop this right now, or you won’t be spared from my hand," Sylvia warned as she held her head, attempting to alleviate the pain, but to no avail. Her vision began to blur, and she could no longer distinguish the supreme god from where Duchess Bernice was confined. Soon, her eyes closed, and she fell to the ground.
"Brother, don’t kill me!" were the last words she uttered before collapsing.
The supreme god was startled. He felt a sudden pain in his head upon hearing Sylvia’s words.
"What’s happening to me as well? Who could be tampering with my mind, the almighty god, when I hold the highest authority? Show yourself!" he shouted.
"MARCUS FULCINIUS EUMENIUS, YOU ARE NOT A GOD!!!"
He was warned once again.
"I am the god. I rule the world. By my command, the leaves move. And who are you to give me orders?" he shouted in response to the voice.
HA HA STOP FOOLING YOURSELF MARCUS, YOU ARE NOTHING BUT A KILLER. YOU HAVE MURDERED YOUR ENTIRE FAMILY. YOU HAVE PUT AN END TO THE GODLY REALM BY MASSACRING THEM. DO YOU EVEN HAVE THE QUALITY TO CALL YOURSELF A GOD? LOOK AT THE PRINCESS; SHE STOPPED YOU FROM ATTACKING JUST WITH HER SHIELD. BUT WHAT DID YOU DO? YOU CAN ONLY MANIPULATE THOSE STUPID GODS.
YOU ARE SUCH A COWARD, MARCUS!!!
The voice mocked him once again, causing him to flee the area. Now, not only the duchess but also the princess were trapped in a space unknown to anyone.

"Get Princess Sylvia to my room. I need to speak with her," Maximus ordered his attendants.
"I apologize, my prince. The emperor has forbidden the princess from speaking or meeting with you under any circumstances," his attendant replied.
"Ha! Is this how the emperor treats his well-wishers?" Maximus exclaimed, hitting the bedding and shouting out loud.
"A traitor is not a well-wisher, Max!" the emperor said, entering the room without any announcement.
"I greet the son of the empire," Maximus couldn’t bow, but he still maintained his etiquette.
"There’s no need for formality, my son. Your well-being is the best news I could hear," the emperor said with affection.
"But I’m fine because of the princess. She helped the duke escape from the tribal empire, allowing him to reach here to inform you and seek support. If it weren’t for her, I’d still be there, hanging in shackles, enduring relentless whippings and covered in blood," Maximus explained.
"They whipped you? Now, I won’t turn a blind eye any longer. I will mobilize my army to annihilate the empire. That empire doesn’t even deserve to be on the map," the emperor shouted, ignoring what the crown prince had said and rushing out of the room to call a meeting.
The Emperor rushed into his meeting chamber where all the ministers and representatives from various regions were already seated.
"Greetings, Your Majesty!" they rose from their seats, offering their best wishes.
"Sit down!" he ordered and took his place on the throne, his expression showing clear displeasure.
"What is the sudden urgency for this meeting, Your Majesty?" one of them inquired.
"There is an important task that needs to be addressed," he stated.
"What task do you wish to discuss?" they asked.
"The tribal empire has gotten on my nerves. That place should not even be shown on the map. Destroy it. There shouldn’t be a single trace of that empire within our borders," he ordered.
"But, Your Majesty, the princess of the tribal empire saved the crown prince. Without her, he might have died. Isn’t this decision a bit reckless?" As this was said, the emperor growled in anger.
"If she saved the prince, then where is she? Why hasn’t she appeared before us to represent her empire? She can’t, right? She’s fled to her own empire, fearing for her life. She knows what her empire did to us, what they did to the crown prince. In what face could she appear before me and present herself?" the emperor retorted.
"But, Your Majesty, I’ve received information that you have the princess locked away somewhere," the person said. The emperor clenched the arms of his throne tightly.
"And who could be providing you with such information when I don’t recall issuing such an order?" the emperor questioned.
"I apologize; perhaps I received incorrect information," the individual fell silent.
"But, Your Majesty, isn’t it strange that first the duchess came to express her wishes and then disappeared overnight, and now the princess from the other empire? What could be behind this? Some strategic maneuverings? How can a person vanish right under our noses without our knowledge? The duchess might return with the duke’s efforts, but what if we can’t locate the princess? She hails from another empire. We can’t casually admit to losing their princess. We need an explanation for them," the minister raised a serious concern, prompting the emperor to contemplate the matter.
"Who says we don’t have a reason?" the emperor stated suddenly.
"What do you mean, Your Majesty?"
"Don’t you know the princess was hired for certain tasks that required her to take a life? While doing so, she killed a knight named Lucius. He used to be in my service, and then she fled to her homeland, fearing execution. This clearly indicates that the princess left our territory once more to evade capture," the emperor finally disclosed Lucius’s death.
"But we have received no information regarding the death or this matter," the crowd inquired.
"We have received no information about anyone’s death or anyone missing. Not even the Knight’s Association has been informed," the crowd inquired.
"What if something like this never happened, and we are being misled by someone?" they asked.
"You are questioning me?" the Emperor howled.
"No, Your Majesty, we are merely expressing our thoughts," they replied. 𝐟𝗿𝐞𝚎𝚠𝐞𝚋𝕟𝐨𝚟𝐞𝕝.𝕔𝕠𝚖
"We apologize if we made any mistakes by expressing our thoughts," they said as they bowed.
