Samuel constantly felt the woman gazing at him through the front mirror but he chose to ignore it.

It would take an hour to reach the city so he made himself comfortable on the backseat letting his body heal itself.

The woman drove hurriedly and in the absence of traffic since it was barely morning, she reached the city limit under half an hour.

She kept keeping an eye on him as she feared he would try to escape again. Her suspicion rang true when Samuel suddenly sat up startling her.

"Are we there yet?" He asked.

"Don't be in such a hurry. You might just have to spend countless days behind bars so it's better for you to take in the scenery." She made a snide remark which made him chuckle.

"You know, it's a awful coincidence that you ran into me at such a remote area and even more surprising is that you happen to be a cop." He suddenly turned serious.

The girl gripped the steering wheel tightly thinking that he would attack. Her civilian car didn't have any protective shield to keep prisoners away.

"You don't need to know why I was there. You should worry about your own fate."

"Maybe I should but now that I am feeling more sober, everything feels odd for some reason. Are you sure you are not hiding anything?" He asked again.

The lady didn't know why he was being so insistent. Maybe it was his way to distract her, either way she wasn't going to let him go this easily.

"You should control your drinking then. How bad does it have to be for you to lose yourself like this? Don't worry with a toxicology report we will find out what substances you are fiddling with."

"I am sorry but this is my spot. If you are not with them then I suggest you forget about everything that happened and keep your head down. They are dangerous people and would not appreciate others snooping around for them."

"What the?" She saw him practically jump out of the window like a monkey. He somehow already got rid of the handcuffs and even turned his head to give one of his cheeky smile.

The woman got out of the vehicle with her gun but in that moment he vanished behind a tree. She gave chase but when she reached behind the tree he was gone.

She hurriedly looked around thinking he was hiding somewhere but even after half an hour of searching she could find any trace of him.

Even his dirty footprint only went up to the tree after which it disappeared. She slammed her foot in frustration.

Samuel on the other hand was long gone. He didn't know if he would find Raani this early but he needed to try. He was relying on the fact that an organisation like their that operated globally would always have people on standby as emergency could arise at any moment.

The woman on the other hand returned to her vehicle. Her persona changed completely and she didn't even mind the bloodstains at the back of her vehicle, speeding through the traffic to reach a remote location.

It seemed like Samuel's suspicion was valid as this cold and calculative appearance was very different from the scaredy cat he met in the forest.

He drove her car in the garage which closed. She kept driving It lit up the inside revealing a underground base.

She kept driving for few second descending down reaching the entrance. A heavy metal door was installed to prevent anyone from coming inside making it look more like an underground bunker than a house.

She entered the necessary password before going inside revealing a vast array of unknown equipment and even a assortment of guns and weapons.

But she walked passed it going straight for the antique phone at the centre of the table which resembled the one Samuel saw in Raani's office.

Like someone expected her arrival, the phone rang which she picked up sitting at her comfortable recliner to take a breather.

It wasn't easy acting weak, she had to control her emotions and even give off facial cues of her inner turmoil and nativity, most of which were lost during her time in the field.

"So? What do you think?" A hoarse yet familiar voice came through the phone.

"Nothing. They lost, I never thought I would see my aunt lose to anyone in this life. What's surprising was she looked scared and helpless which is also a first for me." The woman replied with some disgust in her voice.

"There is no need to scold her. She did make a hasty move despite Raani's warnings. Although unbelievable, there is some truth to her words that the boy is indeed special."

"Special? He is nothing special. I could have killed him in the spot. He didn't even notice that I was carrying. I even fired to test if he would avoid but he couldn't even sense it leading me to shoot him in the shoulder. Why didn't you let me act?"

"I didn't because people need rivals. He was necessary to talk some sense into your aunt as she have become more reckless over the years. Beside, we can kill him anytime of the day what I am more interested in how he managed to counter her poison."

"I can infiltrate and find out if the Rothschild developed some novel cure for unknown poison."

"No, I think the answer lies in the boy's body. Your job is to bring that girl to me today. We can't delay the transport, the ritual had to be completed soon."

"I think it's all absurd. Someone of her age would never survive even if you take fate into the equation."

"Maybe but I know he will come and look for her and here in Moldova, we don't have to fear anything. He might sneak in but he won't be able to get out. At least his body would be a valid replacement for Talia."

"...."

" What? Are you feeling sorry for your half sister?"

"Emotions are for the weak. If not for Miss Raani, she would have already be within our ranks years ago just like me."

"Good, because betrayal has no place under my tutelage. Take the transport plane, it leaves in an hour and make sure to ditch all tails. The girl shouldn't be harmed."

"I understand."
