" It’s me. I hope I didn’t ruin your sleep." After he climbed to the second floor by scaling her building after which he picked her window to let himself in, he realized that such a surprise might seem too much.

" What? How? Don’t tell me you.." Kate sat up on bed remembering about a few times he would do such stunts but he would always call before to let her know that he was coming to visit.

It was odd to see him, here in the middle of the night not to mention the gear he ws wearing she had seen it for thr first time which led her to believe he was involved in something dangerous again.

" It’s alright, I just came to check up on you. I don’t think I thought about it clearly so you just go back to sleep and I will leave on my own." Samuel thought it was best for him to leave.

He could tell with what happened tonight, his brains was not working properly because of how much he had to restraint himself from not tearing the person apart and burying his body where no one could find him.

Apollo warned him countless times not to give into his emotions especially anger or lust which was one of the reason he left Clark back and deal with him when he was in right state of mind.

Maybe he was seeking out Kate because she was closest person who could provide him comfort but he didn’t know if he could really show her his face.

" I never told you to leave. Come with me, we need to clean you up because you look dirty even when you are wearing all black." Kate said softly.

Samuel turned about to see that she was already shivering because of the open window. For a moment he debated what to do but she refused to let him go so he decided to stay but before it, he quickly closed the window that was bringing down the temperature of the room.

Because he ran miles to come here sometimes, through questionable neighbourhood, his armour had inadvertently absorb some of the unpleasant smells but Kate didn’t mind it one bit.

She took her to the bathroom and started undressing him to the best of her abilities. Some part where she got stuck, he would help her with it.

There were atleast five layers of protection and it took her ten minutes to unbuckle everything during which she didn’t even say a single word to him which definitely puzzled him.

When he was finally in his underwear, she glanced at his entire body to look for any hidden injuries then moving on to remove his mask which was covering his whole face.

But strangely Samuel stopped her and said," Leave the rest to me. You go back to bed, I can see you shivering." He gently pushed her hand away.

Kate was momentarily stunned for a second before she looked down to see that she was just wearing her thin pink nightgown but she was indeed shivering and didn’t even notice but it didn’t diminished her concern, she was even more suspicious why he didn’t want her to see his face.

" I am not leaving. Are you hurt which is why you are not daring to face me? Is it something to do what happened in the morning?" Kate asked.

Samuel stayed silent before lifting her up and carrying her to bed before hurrying back to the bathroom, locking the door behind him.

It was childish but he knew he did the right thing when he looked at his face in the mirror. Aura that he often used was seeping out of his body while his face was stern but there was a small creepy smile on his face which looked unsettling.

After fully undressing himself, he directly jumped into the cold shower to cool himself down. It was near freezing but he needed the shock to jolt him out of his weird mood.

He tried to call out to Apollo trying to find out if he would have another blackout but there was no response from the other party.

He essentially needed to contain his bloodlust so that he didn’t affect the girls. There was little chance for him to intentionally hurt them but he didn’t want to scare them.

Kate had taken partial force of his aura in the past so she would be fine but he knew it would definitely scare Bella shitless not to mention people who were living near them would also be affected.

Fortunately, the extra cold shower worked as he felt his skin shrink as he wasn’t using any protection abilities. It also helped his mind to get off from thinking about the ’mission’ and realising that he wasn’t facing any enemy but someone that he loved.

After staying in shower for half an hour, he thought Kate would have fallen asleep at it was ten past midnight but he saw her sitting on the bed waiting for him.

He already dried himself but his skin was still cold. He wanted to say something but she interrupted him and said," There are some off your clothes in the third section. I wore it a few times but I promise I washed it and put it just for situations like this."
