Chapter 754: Whimsical

The man’s eyes narrowed, revealing a dangerous cold glint.

James Shelton sheepishly withdrew his hand from the baby’s face, awkwardly wiping it on his clothes: "Just kidding..."

Did he really look that sleazy?

Edward Stephens turned around, came over with the freshly prepared baby formula, gently picked up his daughter from Daisy Ginger’s side, and cradled her in his arms, feeding her the formula.

The little one had a pair of naturally smiling eyes, always looking at people with a grin, completely different from her brother’s cold, icy demeanor.

Held by Edward, she obediently drank the formula and soon was full, lying in Edward’s arms with closed eyes, dozing off.

The baby was just a tiny bundle, curled up in the man’s arms like a kitten, endearingly well-behaved.

Edward lowered his head to look at her, watching for a long time, his facial lines completely softening.

James stood to the side, watching the man’s silhouette, tutting twice internally, somewhat envious.

— He wanted a wife too; he wanted a daughter too!

Daisy, seeing him coming from afar, didn’t want to not entertain him, noticing him standing alone looking bored, she smiled and asked him, "You’re not that young anymore, right? Have you met any girl you like? When are you going to invite me to your wedding?"

James glanced at her, took a cigarette from the inside of his suit, didn’t light it, just played with it out of boredom.

"I don’t have time for romance now, career comes first."

"Your grandfather doesn’t bother you about it?"

James said, "Last year I made billions investing in movies."

Daisy clapped for him: "Congratulations."

James looked down, gazing at Daisy’s smiling face. Her red lips and white teeth, still breathtakingly beautiful even after having two children. He smiled, his voice lowered slightly, somewhat gentle: "It’s because of your support."

If Daisy hadn’t opened a film company for him and left him Elena Raven, he would probably have been forced into marrying a woman he didn’t like and having children by now.

Edward, holding his daughter, sharply sensed something was off with his wife. He walked over with a stern face, handed the little girl to Daisy, and lifted his chin towards James: "You haven’t eaten since you came over, I booked you a hotel, why don’t you grab something to eat and get some rest?"

James let out a long sigh: "Come on, Edward, you’re really burning bridges after crossing them."

Daisy chuckled quietly from the side, "Alright, since you’re here for a rare visit, rest a few days, and I’ll find a friend to show you around Banyan City, okay?"

Daisy called Zoe Hilker, and hearing there was a handsome guy in need of a companion, Zoe got up energetically, volunteering to take James on a three-day tour around Banyan City.

James, standing by, overheard Zoe’s crisp voice through the phone, broke into a cold sweat, and cautiously asked Daisy, "Daisy, you’re not plotting to harm your ex-husband, are you?"

After hanging up, Daisy looked at him, "Our Zoe is a famous beauty in Banyan City."

"..." But from that laugh, why did it sound just like a madam?

Zoe Hilker, unaware her image had fallen sharply in James’s mind, eagerly arrived, glanced at James, and with a sweet smile, extended her hand, "Hi there, I’m Zoe Hilker."

Zoe had a baby face, her age indiscernible, lightly made up, with a crisp voice and a bright smile, stunning James instantly.

Edward rolled his eyes to the side.

Typical.

James was taken out to eat by Zoe, and Daisy, feeling somewhat exhausted, her expression softened, showing a hint of weariness.

Edward came over, leaned down, kissed her on the brow, and tucked in the corner of her quilt.

"Take a nap, I’ll watch the kids," his tone was full of tenderness.

Daisy nodded, smiled at him for a moment, and quietly closed her eyes.

Edward walked over to close the curtains.

Downstairs, Zoe walked ahead of James, hopping around, always like a child who never grew up; James followed behind, panting, too embarrassed to ask her to slow down, barely keeping up.

He watched for a while, slowly closing the curtains, softly saying, "What do you think about Zoe being with James?"

Daisy opened her eyes, "Hmm?"

The man shook his head, smiled: "Nothing."

He was just daydreaming.
