Chapter 753: Is a daughter

Daisy Ginger felt like she wasn’t about to give birth, but rather to blow up a bunker.

She’d given birth before, why was she so nervous for no reason?

*

The childbirth went very smoothly for Daisy Ginger.

In just two hours, she was out of the operating room.

It was a daughter.

She had a premonition during the pregnancy, so when she found out the baby’s gender, she wasn’t too surprised. Looking at Edward Stephens with reddened eyes holding the baby, Daisy Ginger, though weak, still managed to tease him firmly, "Sorry, it’s a daughter."

Edward Stephens glared at Daisy Ginger while holding his daughter.

Daisy Ginger couldn’t help but chuckle.

Erin stood on her tiptoes, eagerly watching her new baby sister.

The little sister was different from typical newborns in appearance; she had snow-white skin and wasn’t wrinkled at all. With her eyes closed, she curled up in the swaddling clothes, looking as adorable as a doll.

Erin, who rarely spoke, had eyes that started to glitter.

Daisy Ginger was also quite surprised looking at her daughter.

"Hey, she’s really pretty." She remembered when Erin was born, she was wrinkled like a little monkey; it took a few days before she became fair and tender.

Edward Stephens said proudly, "Of course, how could my daughter not be pretty?"

Daisy Ginger couldn’t help but say, "You clearly wanted a son—"

Edward Stephens rolled his eyes at her and took their daughter away.

Being in this age during childbirth, Daisy Ginger was considered an "elderly parturient woman." Although the childbirth went smoothly, it took a toll on her and she needed some time in the hospital to recuperate before going home.

Though she had the awareness of being a mother, she wasn’t used to raising a child, so naturally, the feeding and diapering of the little daughter fell to Edward Stephens.

Edward Stephens had undergone systematic training from James Shelton ahead of time, but once "on the battlefield," he was still just a rookie, fumbling around with diapering, and with a high sense of self-worth, he stubbornly refused to hire a nanny.

Daisy Ginger didn’t know how either, so the two of them resorted to staring at the computer for instructions. Eventually, James Shelton, unable to stand it, flew over from Tsing City to guide these "rookie parents" via video chat.

Over the years, James Shelton’s entertainment company had been a roaring success, bringing out several big-name celebrities.

He didn’t have much luck with real estate investment, with each company he set up going bankrupt, but he had extraordinary luck in film investments, always making a fortune, truly a case of "specializing in what you do best."

Although Elder Shelton had hoped his grandson would excel in the family business, seeing James Shelton’s entertainment empire flourishing, he didn’t have plans to marry off his grandson in a business alliance and allowed him to build his venture while slowly searching for a bride.

Upon arriving at the hospital, James Shelton immediately took the baby from Edward Stephens, efficiently ripping off the diaper Edward painstakingly put on and replacing it with a new one.

"You put it on backwards."

"..."

"How come you don’t even know how to make formula milk?"

"..."

"Didn’t I teach you how to hold the baby?"

"..."

James Shelton was so smug, his tail seemed to be quivering in front of Edward Stephens.

Though it was unclear what he had to be so smug about.

"Daisy, your daughter looks a lot like you. She’ll be a beauty in the future, too."

Edward Stephens, engrossed in measuring the milk formula temperature, James Shelton went to visit Daisy Ginger, who he hadn’t seen in years. She was still as beautiful as ever, perhaps with a gentle elegance added due to Edward Stephens’s influence.

Daisy Ginger tilted her chin proudly, "Good genes."

James Shelton pinched the baby’s cheek, "When she grows up, maybe I should marry her."

"..." Edward Stephens turned his head vigilantly from the side.
