After Robert Stephens passed away, the Stephens family was in turmoil for a while. Edward Stephens left early and returned late, but things eventually calmed down quickly.

Edward returned to the Stephens family merely to see Robert once, but unexpectedly, he ended up attending Robert’s funeral. He stayed from summer to autumn without intending to live there permanently. Once everything settled down, he prepared to return to Banyan City with Daisy Ginger.

Daisy didn’t say anything. Edward didn’t like it there, nor did he like his relatives, so the whole family returning to Banyan City was fine with her.

Edward Stephens seemed to be quite easy-going, unlike Robert Stephens who was very strict. So when Robert passed away, the relatives who had always supported him turned to Edward for leadership.

At night, Daisy, after finishing her game, still found it unbelievable.

The man had just finished his shower, was drying his short hair with a towel, and looked at her as if she was an idiot.

"What if your family becomes bankrupt because of Ryan Smith in the future?"

"..." Edward was silent for a moment, "If Ryan knew you were complimenting him like this, I wonder how he’d feel."

Edward withdrew his gaze, dried his hair, and said in an indifferent tone, "We can let Erin handle it then."

Daisy was taken aback: "What?"

Edward looked at her, "I think Erin can take care of the company in the future."

"..." Daisy squinted, "What are you saying?"

Edward quietly looked away.

"......" This damn man didn’t want to manage the company himself and was planning to dump it on their son!

"Alright," Edward approached, embraced her, and kissed her, "We’ll deal with future matters in the future. Even if Ryan causes bankruptcy, somebody will clean up the mess..."

"Who are you expecting to clean up your mess?" Daisy stared at him vigilantly.

Edward gave her a slight smile, pinned her down on the bed, and kissed her vehemently. Daisy "mm-mm" a couple of times, resisting, trying to get the guy to explain further. Soon, Edward suppressed her, making her forget everything with his prowess...

Daisy lay in bed with her hair all tangled and messy.

Edward was already up, slowly buttoning his shirt at the bedside.

Daisy opened her eyes and lazily looked at him. The man lowered his head and smiled, kissing her forehead, "Sleep a bit longer, I’m going downstairs to have breakfast with Erin."

Daisy yawned, glanced at the red bite mark on his slender neck, and "uh-huh" pointed at it: "Cover it up."

Edward stroked his neck, raised an eyebrow: "I’ll tell Erin."

"???" What are you planning to tell your son?

"Just say it was a dog bite."
