Hold On Mr.! Your Sweetheart is a Real Queen-Chapter 706: Gentle
Edward Stephens glanced at Michael Joyner and said deliberately, "That new star-shaped cufflink from Dior is quite good-looking."
Daisy Ginger rolled her eyes and played along, "If you like it, I’ll buy it for you."
"I’m also missing a car."
Daisy nodded, "I’ll take you to the car dealership to pick one out later."
The man chuckled softly, his eyes like alluring cherry blossoms, "So generous? I can pick any car?"
Daisy: "As long as you behave."
It’d better not be about having a little boyfriend again!
Not just a car, she’d buy a house too!
Because of Michael Joyner these days, this guy took any opportunity to make a fuss. No matter how tillable her land is, it can’t stand him turning it over and over!
Edward shot her a look, giving a cold snort.
Even giving her attitude.
Daisy pinched her brow, complaining to Michael Joyner, "Michael, don’t worry about me anymore, it’s mutual between him and me. It’s not your fault, it’s mine. Don’t like me anymore, alright?"
Michael Joyner’s refined and fair face turned shades of blue and white.
When it’s said like this, it would be too embarrassing to persist further.
His good upbringing maintained his gentlemanly demeanor. He looked down and softly said to Daisy, "In the future... if there’s any trouble, just remember to contact me."
In his view, Daisy would sooner or later be conned out of her assets by this man.
When that time comes, he’ll help out where he can.
Edward gave him a slight smile, which, in Michael Joyner’s eyes, was full of provocation and smugness.
Clenching his fists, the young man turned away with a sullen face and left them.
Once Michael Joyner left, Daisy finally let out a breath of relief.
She patted Edward Stephens’ arm that was around her waist, "Let go, let go."
She could barely breathe!
The man whispered in her ear, "Michael... so close, huh?"
Daisy started and her whole body bristled, looking at him warily, warning, "Edward Stephens, if you keep this up, I won’t hold back."
After playing along with such a cheesy act, this guy had the nerve to be picky; she wasn’t going to indulge him.
The man slightly lifted his chin, "You call me by my full name but him with such affection, your relationship seems better than ours."
Damn, sarcastic and bitchy enough to make one’s teeth ache!
Daisy narrowed her eyes dangerously, "If you keep talking about him, shall we bring up Charlotte Smith?"
"..." The man was silent for a second, pondered for a moment, then turned his head with a soft snort.
Speaking of Charlotte Smith, Daisy suddenly remembered there was something she hadn’t told him yet.
Although, to Edward Stephens, it seemed this thing didn’t matter anymore.
Daisy patted his arm, "Get up. Let’s go home."
"Not shopping anymore?"
"I’m afraid if we keep shopping, you really will turn into a gigolo." Daisy glanced around at the shopping bags on the floor.
She still had to consider Edward Stephens’ reputation.
Not many people in Banyan City knew him; if they saw them like this, she worried Edward would be gossiped about.
How embarrassing that would be.
The man chuckled lightly, resting his chin on Daisy’s shoulder, unconcerned, "It’s still your gigolo."
Hearing him say it so naturally, Daisy couldn’t help but want to laugh a little. She turned her head to look into the deep black eyes of the man, then leaned over and pecked his lips, her voice gentle, "Alright, let’s go home."
