Chapter 705: Jealous

Edward Stephens lazily sat on a bench in the mall designated for resting, biting a cigarette, and glanced up at the handsome, refined young man in front of him.

The other party was wearing a white pullover sweatshirt and blue jeans, looking genuinely youthful and energetic. However, his face was gloomy, and the gaze he directed at Edward was filled with hidden anger and disdain.

Taking a hard drag on the cigarette butt, Edward slowly squinted his eyes, stared at the young man in front of him for a while, and then turned his head, calling into the mall, "Daisy, who is this person?"

Daisy Ginger had already paid and was coming out of the store delightedly, holding that golden butterfly, "Edward, come try this, it’s so beauti..."

Upon seeing the person standing in front of Edward, her voice cut off abruptly.

Dazed, Daisy instinctively ran to Edward’s side, blocking the person in front, "Michael, what are you doing here?"

Michael.

Sitting behind her, Edward’s eyes narrowed sharply.

Calling so intimately, huh.

Michael Joyner saw her, a flash of complexity passing over his clean and handsome face. His eyes darkened as he stared at Daisy, "Daisy, the reason you rejected me, is it because of him?"

Daisy...

Edward raised his hand and, at an angle where Michael couldn’t see, pinched Daisy’s butt hard.

Hiss—

Daisy almost screamed.

She grabbed the misbehaving hand of the man, barely maintaining her composure, and smiled at Michael, "I’ve already made myself clear, please don’t pester me anymore. I don’t think Young Master Michael is the type to cling on stubbornly."

The three words "Young Master Michael" seemed to sting Michael. A trace of pain appeared on his refined, pale face as he looked at the leisurely, composed man sitting behind Daisy.

Beside him were a pile of branded shopping bags, all high-end men’s wear, worth well over a million at a glance.

This man sat among a pile of luxury items, composed and nonchalant, lacking the self-respect a man should have, exuding the indifference of someone living off a woman.

Unexpectedly, he found himself losing to a freeloader, making Young Master Michael so angry he nearly rushed over to beat the man up.

His rival in love turned out to be a gigolo!

"Daisy," he lowered his head, his tone sincere, "It’s okay if you don’t like me, but don’t mix with men like this. People like them, no matter how nicely they speak, are just trying to get single women like you to spend money on them. I...I may not look as good as him, but at least I don’t need you to support me. I earn my own money to spend on you, all right?" 𝑓𝘳𝘦𝑒𝑤𝑒𝘣𝘯ℴ𝘷𝘦𝓁.𝑐𝑜𝑚

"Ah..." Daisy was taken aback, realizing from Michael’s words, and instinctively wanted to explain for Edward, "He’s not..."

Before she could finish, someone hugged her from behind, and Edward gently pulled her into his arms.

Daisy ended up sitting on his lap.

The man wrapped his arms around her, kissed her cheek with a smile, "Daisy, he doesn’t want you to spend money on me."

The words were spoken lazily, but the tone had a hook, a slow allure.

Flirtatious and provocative.

Daisy patted his arms around her waist, warning him softly, "Stop messing around."

"You don’t want to spend money on me? Daisy."

He smiled, lowering his eyes to look at her.

Though smiling, there was no trace of warmth in his eyes.

This guy is jealous.

Daisy sighed inwardly and coaxed him along, "How could I not? If you wanted the stars, I’d climb up a ladder to pick them for you."
