Chapter 664: Wishing you and Coco happiness.

Knowing Edward Stephens’ personality, Daisy Ginger always thought he wouldn’t let her go so easily.

After all, this man was once so deranged that he even resorted to kidnapping and imprisonment.

Daisy gingerly guarded against him, even on the night before she left, she kept a watchful eye, so tense that she almost couldn’t sleep.

She slept until morning.

When she woke up, it was nearly ten o’clock.

She opened her eyes, looked at the bright sunlight outside the window, and slowly exhaled a breath.

The man who slept beside her had already gotten up early, and she heard his voice coming from the lawn downstairs. Edward Stephens was talking to Erin Ginger. She got out of bed barefoot, walked to the balcony, and looked down to see the father and son standing energetically together. Erin was the first to notice her, looked up, and called out, "Mommy!"

Daisy waved her hand, glanced at Edward Stephens again, and saw him standing tall and calm with Erin.

She withdrew her gaze, and for some reason felt that Edward’s nonchalant demeanor was a bit off.

If he were really so ready to call it quits, they wouldn’t have spent all these years entangled with each other.

But he really did nothing, which left Daisy a bit uncertain.

In fact, she would have rather they had a big fight and then went their separate ways.

However, Edward Stephens didn’t give her this chance. He not only packed her luggage but also prepared her plane tickets.

His gentle and friendly manner had Daisy on edge.

...

Her flight to Banyan City was scheduled for 3 PM, so Daisy wasn’t in a hurry. She went downstairs, had a little something to eat to fill her stomach, and planned to wait a little while to have lunch with Erin.

Walking from indoors to the doorstep, she saw Erin and Edward sitting on the swing in the garden, chatting and laughing, without a hint of the sadness of parting.

Daisy observed in silence and recalled any odd behaviors Edward Stephens might have had these past few days, finding that he had been well-behaved. Apart from recuperating at home, he hadn’t even contacted Ryan Smith.

Not scientific—

Three illustrious words popped into Daisy’s head. She stared at Edward’s back for a moment, then solemnly withdrew her gaze.

At noon, the family had lunch as usual.

Edward said to her, "I’ll take you to the airport at one o’clock."

Daisy politely said, "There’s no need, I can just call a cab."

His tone was gentle, "You’re about to be living in different cities with me, who knows if we can even meet once a year in the future. You can’t deny me this little request, right?"

He spoke sincerely and pitiably, and Daisy was not a heartless woman, so she agreed to his "humble" request.

"..." Erin, sitting in his high chair, chewing on chopsticks, looked left at Daisy and right at Edward, not understanding what his mom and dad were up to.

At one in the afternoon, Edward Stephens hummed a little tune and drove Daisy and their son to the airport.

Seeing his happy demeanor, Daisy couldn’t help but entertain some bizarre theories: Could it be that these past three years, Edward Stephens and Coco had gone from fake to real?

Was the lovesick appearance he put on in front of her recently just an excellent acting skill?

Now that he had sent her away, was he finally unable to conceal his true nature?

Recalling the things she accidentally saw recently, Daisy’s expression gradually turned subtle...

Edward had no idea what was going on in Daisy’s mind. Throughout the journey, he was laughing and chatting with Erin. At the airport, he even bought Erin a SpongeBob plush as a farewell gift.

Daisy, holding Erin’s hand, said to him, "Erin, say goodbye to him."

Erin hugged the SpongeBob plush, obediently raised his hand, and waved at Edward.

Edward nodded, handed the boarding pass to Daisy.

Daisy reached out to take it, looked at Edward for a long while, and then gave him a big smile, "I wish you and Coco happiness."

Edward, who had been managing everything smoothly, showed a confused expression: "???"

Daisy didn’t explain, took Erin’s hand, and left.

In the waiting room, Daisy still felt a little unreal.

Edward hadn’t come in.

—Could he and Coco be real?

Daisy looked at Erin holding the plush, and the little guy was in good spirits, showing no adverse reaction, which made her breathe a sigh of relief.

These years hadn’t been in vain. If he had been weeping with Edward and reluctant to part, she might have been driven crazy.

After eight hours of flying, Daisy got off the plane.

She sent a message to Zoe Hilker and Ethan Pond.

Half an hour later, Zoe and Ethan drove to the airport. Seeing Daisy and Erin, Zoe was ecstatic, hugging Erin and jumping around, "Wow, Erin, my little darling, you’ve become even more adorable!"

Ethan came forward, took Daisy’s suitcase, and put it in the trunk.

"Daisy, are you moving back to Banyan City?"

In the car, Zoe hugged Erin and asked, tilting her head.

Daisy smiled, "I’ll stay for a while."

"Have you sorted everything out?"

"Yeah. Pretty much."

"That’s great." Zoe sighed, "I thought the three of us would never be able to hang out in Banyan City again."

They all grew up in Banyan City and felt deeply connected to the city.

Over the years, they saw each other less frequently, and though Zoe never mentioned it, she was always thinking about it in her heart.

"We have an extra place in Banyan City. You should stay with us when you come back, be neighbors." Zoe, bubbling with excitement, started planning Daisy and Erin’s future residence, "Don’t bother renting a place, don’t waste money!"

Daisy chuckled softly, her voice gentle, "Okay, young big shot."

Zoe laughed happily a couple of times.

Zoe was now a veritable young big shot, having expanded her chain of bars to other provinces, raking in nearly millions daily. High-end bars cater to customers with significant spending power.

Ethan, driving in the front, softly suggested, "Why not have a few drinks at my bar tonight?"

Daisy shook her head, smiling, "No, I have to adjust to the jet lag. Flying was exhausting."

Zoe: "Once you’re well-rested, I’ll arrange a male striptease show for you!"

Daisy laughed in the back seat, "Alright."

Daisy spent more than a week living in banyan city, in a drunken haze.

Zoe was great at organizing fun; she wanted Daisy to feel at home, hosting three parties in a week, all lasting until dawn. After several days, Daisy realized she couldn’t keep up and had to call Ethan over to take Zoe away, fearing she’d soon be "burnt out."

But thanks to Zoe’s pranks, after coming back she was constantly engaged in eating, drinking, and having fun, barely having time to overthink, making life easier.

She didn’t dwell on Edward Stephens, so naturally she didn’t feel regret.

Life went on as usual. As Erin grew up, she would forget the man who had saddened her for nearly a decade and might even fall in love with someone else.
