Hold On Mr.! Your Sweetheart is a Real Queen-Chapter 596: Ex-Husband
Erin Ginger and Edward Stephens exchanged glances for a moment before Erin looked away, somewhat disappointed.
He looked up, directing his gaze at Daisy Ginger.
Daisy glanced down at him, then took his hand, walking him over to Edward Stephens.
The man’s gaze landed on Erin Ginger, clearly still a bit out of touch with reality.
Daisy crouched down and said to Erin, "You see, he’s been hit by a car and turned silly. Mommy wasn’t lying to you, was she?"
Edward Stephens: ???
How is he silly?
With a speechless expression, the man looked at Daisy. Although they’d met before, he still felt... no matter how he looked at it, this woman wasn’t his usual type!
Little Erin Ginger lowered his eyes and echoed Daisy, softly saying, "Mmm."
Lady Stephens watched the three of them and warmly suggested, "Edward, you and Daisy have a good chat. Mom and Ryan will step out now."
Edward didn’t respond, but Lady Stephens had already hurriedly taken Ryan Smith out of the room.
The hospital room’s door closed softly, leaving just the three of them inside.
Edward opened his mouth, his voice sounding a bit raspy: "What’s his name?"
"Erin Ginger," Daisy replied, "His name is Erin Ginger."
"He has your surname?"
Daisy chuckled, "I gave birth to him on my own, so what’s wrong with him having my surname?"
"..." Edward didn’t speak. He only stared at Erin for a while, then eventually said, "It seems... we really were married before."
The way he said it was as if he had finally accepted it.
Daisy let out an ambiguous laugh but didn’t reply. She just lowered her head and gently patted Erin’s little head, softly asking, "Erin, do you have anything you want to say to Daddy?"
Erin’s eyelashes flickered as he looked at the man on the hospital bed. He pursed his small lips and softly said, "Daddy."
Edward’s eyes flickered slightly, his gaze deepening as he quietly focused on Erin’s face.
"You need to get better soon."
The man gave a light hum, as if acknowledging it.
"I have two dads," Erin said seriously, "If you don’t get better, I’ll go with Mommy to find my other dad and ignore you from now on."
"..." Edward’s face darkened as he lifted his head, glaring angrily at Daisy.
Daisy shrugged, "Don’t look at me, I didn’t teach him that."
The man took a deep breath, trying to suppress the storm surging in his heart, and forced a smile as he asked Erin, "What’s the story with two dads?"
Daisy looked at his fake demeanor and snorted inwardly.
It seems this is a common trait among men — even if they’ve lost their memory, they can’t stand their child acknowledging another father!
Erin blinked, responding with childlike innocence, "Two dads just means two dads. One is you, and the other one is in another city."
Edward lifted his head, giving Daisy a mocking look, and said sardonically, "Looks like you’ve got quite a few men out there."
Daisy casually sat on the sofa, crossing her legs and lazily leaning back, "That was all after the divorce. As a weak woman struggling to raise a child, I needed someone to rely on, didn’t I?"
Edward took in her exquisite appearance and her graceful demeanor, scoffing as he leaned against the headboard, "I really can’t tell that you need any man to rely on."
"There are many things you can’t tell," Daisy laughed, "My ex-husband’s company went public and made him wealthy. I had to leave empty-handed and continue relying on my dear ex-husband."
