Hogwarts: Bloodline Legend-Chapter 638 - 179: Path of Legends, Death’s Sneak Attack? (Part 2)
For the Little Wizard’s "malicious" idea, Pandro wasn’t aware; he merely stroked his chin and replied in a surprisingly insightful tone.
"Seven is quite a magical number, and three is even more significant... it has created many epics and legends." This could be considered an affirmation of the Iron Triangle’s theory.
The weather was bright and clear.
In the presence of no witnesses.
Perhaps another legend and epic has already set sail. Sunshine poured unreservedly from the azure sky across the entire square, and the golden radiance interwove with the stone pavement, sparkling warmly and charmingly. The three were immersed in a harmonious and joyful atmosphere.
Suddenly.
"Enough rest, let’s continue practicing swordsmanship, Ariana." Pandro abruptly reminded, clearly mindful of how Ariana was trying to use Ian’s arrival as an excuse for a break.
"Alright, you’ve found me out."
Ariana, a little red-faced, picked up her longsword again, resuming the practice of Pandro’s swordsmanship under Ian’s watchful eye.
Long time no see.
The Little Wizard was somewhat amazed to discover that Ariana’s swordsmanship had improved immensely—when she raised her longsword, her posture was upright and nimble.
Her gaze became determined and sharp, as if she could see through all illusions and strike at the opponent’s weak points. The longsword sliced through the air, producing a subtle yet crisp sword hum.
Her sword moves were smooth and powerful, every motion perfectly showcasing the essence of swordsmanship. Be it fierce thrusts, swift slashes, or skillful parries and counterattacks, Ariana applied them with perfect mastery. Her swordsmanship was both formidable and flexible, seemingly able to adapt freely to her opponent’s attacks.
It was a kind of prowess that even made Ian feel helpless.
"Well done!"
Ian couldn’t help but applaud.
He felt Ariana’s swordsmanship practice was akin to a visual feast. With the Little Wizard’s praise, despite remaining focused, Ariana clearly had a smile on her face.
Pandro just loved stirring things up.
"What’s good about it?"
He cheekily responded to Ian, as if deliberately wanting to see Ian embarrassed.
"..."
The Little Wizard turned and saw Pandro’s teasing gaze. He clearly wanted to see him make a fool of himself, but of course, he would not let Pandro’s evil plan succeed.
"A perfect balance of hard and soft, with the power of thunder and the gentle caress of spring rain, unpredictable and obviously invincible, carrying an extraordinary aura of swordsmanship."
Ian didn’t understand swordsmanship.
But that doesn’t mean he doesn’t know how to praise others.
"I’m not that amazing..." Ariana was so flustered by the Little Wizard’s praise that the sharpness in her swordsmanship practice slightly faded.
Ian hadn’t replied yet.
"No! It’s exactly like that! Just like that! Invincible and extraordinary, that’s what my swordsmanship is about; although the words aren’t substantial, they’re not wrong either!"
Pandro confidently began his boasting mode.
If he had a tail, this guy would have proudly wagged it to the sky, but of course, the Little Wizard, intending to retaliate, wouldn’t let him continue showing off.
"Although your swordsmanship is impressive, I’ve seen even more formidable swordsmanship." Ian assumed a calm demeanor, giving Pandro a sidelong glance.
Just as he expected.
Pandro was instantly agitated.
"Impossible! Absolutely impossible!" He wasn’t sure whether he was denying Ian’s "experience" or the existence of swordsmanship superior to his own.
"Tsk, saying ’impossible’ just because you haven’t seen it, such a childish move." Ian deliberately mimicked Snape’s way of speaking, with a slightly sneering, methodical tone that was truly irritating.
Pandro’s face turned the color of a pig’s liver.
"Bring someone to spar with me, and I’ll believe you." Sometimes he seemed even more childish than Ian, especially concerning his own pride.
Ian did not reply.
He continued calmly, "I won’t talk about Void Swordsmanship which allows traversing space, ignoring all barriers, and striking foes across galaxies, nor about Celestial Emperor Swordsmanship which ignores time and space, slicing through your past, present, and future. I’ll just mention the Twenty-Third Sword I’ve seen at least twenty times."
"That’s truly extraordinary to saintly, inspiring all swordsmen to look up like gods; with one stroke, everything halts, allowing control. How many more years do you think you’d need to reach that?"
Ian slowly described.
"Is there really such formidable swordsmanship?!"
Ariana believed him, her clear eyes widening in surprise. Not just the young girl but even Pandro seemed slightly convinced by Ian’s words.
"Is it fake...?"
Of course, his expression still carried a hint of doubt.
"I can swear by my Wizard’s Heart." Ian replied firmly, his gaze steadfast, sparking Pandro’s self-doubt. 𝕗𝐫𝐞𝕖𝕨𝐞𝗯𝚗𝕠𝘃𝐞𝚕.𝐜𝗼𝚖
"What’s a Wizard’s Heart?"
His voice lowered significantly, opening with considerable confusion. Regarding the Little Wizard’s term, despite his many interactions with wizards, he had never heard of it before.
If the Little Wizard hadn’t spoken with such conviction, he would’ve suspected fabrication.
