"I am the Sage of the Forest, the Philosopher of the Dark Valley, the Hermit of Mist City, sworn Light Apostle against the Dark Wizard—Your Majesty, why sully my good name like this?"

Ian put on a mock expression of indignation, speaking in a slow, deliberate manner, imitating Grindelwald's way of talking, so his tone naturally carried a kind of imposing aggression.

"Uh..."

The King hesitated again.

The Queen hesitated as well.

They hesitated for quite a while.

Only then did Ian, a little confused, realize that the King and Queen had actually gotten stuck.

"What the hell?"

Feeling as if some mysterious power from the Other Side had invaded, Ian raised his hand in surprise and waved it in front of the King and Queen, who seemed frozen as if time itself had stopped.

"Come on! I was waiting for you guys to take me to see Sleeping Beauty! Is the battery dead or something?" The Little Wizard had no idea what had just happened.

Just as he was about to roll up his sleeves and try a hard 'reset' on the King and Queen—

"Immersed, are we, in a past that's already 'dead'? Your sense of substitution is really something." A slightly mocking voice suddenly sounded—it just popped up behind Ian out of nowhere.

The voice was immensely familiar.

The chill running down his spine and the tingling on his scalp, too, felt somewhat nostalgic.

"Morgan... Teacher."

The Little Wizard's smile grew stiff as he laboriously turned his neck to look back.

He had already guessed the interrogation would follow right on cue.

"Sworn Light Apostle against the Dark Wizard—so that's what you say when you meet the Black Witch?" Don't be fooled by Morgan's always-mocking, bantering tone.

But the Little Wizard's hairs were already standing on end.

"Of course I didn't mean you! You, in my heart, have never been any kind of Black Witch—whatever so-called Black Witch deeds you do, you must have your perfectly good reasons!"

Ian instantly switched into survival mode.

But.

After spouting all those flattering words—

He still couldn't help his curiosity.

"So... um… after my venomous senior, are you now also playing a part in someone else's past story?" the Little Wizard asked cautiously, gently probing.

He actually suspected that Sleeping Beauty's nap might have been Morgan's doing.

"Use that little piggy brain of yours. If your teacher were to handle it, who else would even get a chance to fall asleep?" Witch Morgan rolled her eyes with utter disdain.

"..."

Ian really wanted to say—

He only had that suspicion because, in this Misty Illusion Realm, he'd seen the entire kingdom of Sleeping Beauty, and such a move—wiping out an entire country—was quite in line with the style of the Legendary Black Witch.

As if she had guessed Ian's thoughts, Morgan the Witch let out a light sigh, then led Ian through the stalled "out-of-control" moment into the great hall's entrance.

"Aren't you curious why you're here?"

She spoke softly.

"Please, Teacher, enlighten me."

The Little Wizard adopted a very humble attitude.

"Because of that."

The Witch pointed into the distance at the grand cathedral.

Then.

She pointed at the sun in the sky.

"You dull little pig! I thought I already understood you enough, but honestly, I never expected you could do something so ridiculously outrageous."

Morgan's words left Ian rather bewildered inside.

"That golden wheel on the cathedral—it represents the sun in the sky, right?" He began to think and speculate, and sure enough, some rather wild ideas started flooding his mind.

"Could it be..."

Ian's eyes were about to pop out.

Before he could finish his sentence—

Morgan gave a soft sigh.

"You once had Ariana come ask me why you couldn't enter the Misty Illusion Realm, and now I want to ask you... with what courage did you dare snatch a god's domain from the hands of the God of Death?"

The Witch's gentle words.

In this land where time was suspended... crashed like thunder out of a clear sky.
