His Witch Queen-Chapter 147: Do not unlock!

The words made General Ryan not feel fine.

His eyes widened, even though he tried his best to maintain the same calm and coldness throughout. "B-Bury him out here?"

"Yes, bury him in this box." the young prince commented with a strange tone.

Despite giving the orders that might kill the child, he wasn’t even a bit happy. Otherwise, there was the sadness that spread all over his heart and this made general Ryan even more suspicious.

"Shouldn’t we kill him off and then bury him? Why bury him alive?" General Ryan can’t help but ask, to which Prince Almen shifted his focus looking to gaze at general Ryan, "Don’t show your sympathy for the child."

"I’m not. I’m simply asking this to ease your workload by killing him."

"He can’t be killed." Prince Almen finally revealed the truth, and it was another shock that General Ryan received. There was the race’s surprise that caught him on the spot. ’He can’t be killed..? Similarly, how Prince Almen can’t be killed? Prince Almen had taken the mixture of the herbs. So, what is this young child like?’

Dozens of the unsaid and complicated questions slid in his mind. There was no chance that he would answer any of them. Nor was he thinking about doing so. Yet, his heart didn’t stay silent. "Do-does this mean..."

"Lucy was very clever...very."

Almen’s teeth gritted against each other with much annoyance. "She....took the same herbs when she was pregnant now...this child.." saying this, Prince Almen’s eyes shifted to look at the peacefully sleeping child with frustration and hatred.

Even seeing the same, general Ryan wasn’t able to understand why this site was getting so complex. There was no way to say that this child..was special too then? General Ryan thought.

On the other hand, General Ryan also shifted his gaze to look at the child in his embrace before speaking, "So, we will let him rest in this grave for the time being.."

"Yes, and we will pull him out when the time comes and he is a bit old. Everything will vanish and no one will remember anything, nor his parents. No one else can actually tell this young child the truth anymore and..he will be known as my son!"

The description made General Ryan’s lips turn into a smirk. ’Surely This man is cunning..’ very cunning to evaluate his long planning.

It must take generations to forget about Lucy and Derek. Yet it was a sight of advantage. He was going to kill the people who won’t favor him, so as to remove the trace of Derek and Lucy from this entire empire.

And this child will be taken out, when the generations are swept under and he will grow a few years, in his vampire state.

The soldiers had brought the giant box for the child. At last, it was one and then, Almen asked General Ryan to keep the child the same. Without delaying, General Ryan executed the order and then, the giant box was closed.

The box rested in the same place for years and years...and years...until generation passed and passed on, having no idea that once upon a time, there existed Prince Derek, Lady Lucy, and THEIR SON, Prince Cyrus.

As the old man in front of them stopped talking, there was absolute silence that stood near them. They had no idea how to proceed with everything told on their face.

Even more, Cyrus was packed into the giant box and later on put to sleep just in the few days after his birth. Wasn’t this the most horrible act ever done?

But more than that, Alice wasn’t surprised even now. She had maintained the same expression throughout, not even displaying her displeasure with the entire episode. Her solid body was something that even surprised the soldiers, who were finding it hard to cope with the said information.

Not only was this disheartening, but some big revelations were on their faces to recall that they have a long flight to go ahead.

Prince Cyrus raised his head to look at the old man. There were no words left for him to ask. But the emotions that flooded, can’t be controlled. Another roller coaster ride continued to happen inside his brain, which he was facing at the most deadly moment.

However, Alice’s brows raised upwards, "So, general Ryan is also the culprit behind everything that happened..."

"He isn’t." the old man truly told but this wasn’t easily accepted by Alice. "You said that General Ryan held Cyrus and he was the one who kept Cyrus inside that box!"

"How can you say that he was innocent? He is not innocent! He knew who the real King was and how Prince Almen destroyed thousands of lives. He took the wrong side and let..Prince Derek be killed? That’s ridiculous!" Alice’s sharp answer wasn’t a surprise to anyone present out there.

She was enraged by how the old man still sided with General Ryan. In her eyes, she knew that the man was clever, yet so much as to go and shake hands with Prince Almen to destroy each life of the empire?

The old man shook his head at her remark, to deny what she told all of them right now. "You are misleading the facts. He isn’t a bad person, to begin with. Ryan has been protecting Cyrus for so long already."

"General Ryan wasn’t a simple vampire either. He has been by Prince Derek’s side for so long. In this war, his family was also killed in the same way that Prince Almen’s mother got killed. They were all in the same castle and..the sudden fire and bombs exploded the entire castle."

"General Ryan had a family?" For the very first time, Prince Cyrus finally opened his mouth to question, to which he received a positive nod from the other hand. "He did."

"But as far as I know, he doesn’t have any family anymore...." Cyrus muttered under his breath, able for the old man to hear. Hearing the words, the old man smiled, with eyes turning into the shadow, "You are correct. That man didn’t have family left for him to even ink with."

"All his kins, wife, and parents died in that bomb exploding. But the decision to leave Prince Derek’s side and the go-ahead to join with Prince Almen was already known to the Crown Prince too."

The world made one’s eyes bulge out. For a minute, they could feel their heart hammering against their chest. "P-Prince Derek knew..that.."

"He knew. In fact, it was him who advised General Ryan to do so." the old man explained in a more detailed manner to not let them take the most important character as the villain. The old man closed the wrinkled book and in front of them, folded his hands.

"Prince Derek was smart. At the last stage, he knew very well that Prince Almen wishes to have General Ryan by his side. And knowing the condition of his own as well as the empire, Prince Derek interrupted general Ryan to go ahead to join Prince Almen so that, there is at last someone who is known to the entire truth."

"Prince Derek already predicted that prince Almen must be planning. And that was to swipe all the generations that don’t obey and consider him as the king. As the mixture will keep him alive till ages, it was known to him that the only person who can defeat Prince Almen in the coming future will be his son."

"To Safeguard you, General Ryan was the only solution. Keeping General RYAN alive was important because, at this point, only three people know about that time happening because the rest of them are already killed."

"And to let anyone be alive to make these all details to give to you, General Ryan was the prime key. He was the one who saved you because, till now, Prince Almen had many sources to kill you but he always put you at bay. Even Before dying, Prince Derek had passed General Ryan a look. Many must have missed it, also Prince Almen, but me? No, I saw that it looked very good."

The old man’s words seemed to put pressure on their head. It was harder to explain, and most importantly, more difficult than ever to even recognize.

The fact that they were all involved in the circle was overwhelming

But Alice had then taken a deep breath, "So, General Ryan is alive so that he can instruct Cyrus?"

To this, the old man shook his head, "He has his own motives. The motive is revenge from King Almen..he is burning in the pit of fire for ages and that’s the reason, he is bent on letting Prince Almen be dead in front of his eyes. Not only did that man kill his family members like Prince Derek, but his own wife and kids... that’s the pain he has been carrying since ages and for God knows for how long."

Each word of the old man was stuck to them in the thread like a hot plate. they had no idea how to react.

Should they sympathize with General Ryan?

Or be angry that he let Prince Derek die? But on the second, it was bound to happen. There was no other way left for the prince to survive. The only way was to secure the place for Cyrus because he can’t be killed.

Prince Derek knew too well that Cyrus will wake up from that deep slumber and when he is awake, someone is needed to be filled with this ethical information.

At this point, their all heart was getting shattered. Even Alice’s lips turned paler voice where no bounce was even left for her to speak.

But Cyrus then raised his chin. His eyes were filled with the coldest grin possible, as he spoke, "Tell me, who are you then? What was your role in all of this, to know everyone in detail?"
