His Witch Queen-Chapter 105: Disclosing the plan!

"What happened, Cyrus? Is there something concerning?" Alice mumbled and questioned, but more like, it was already certain in her mind that he had something going inside.

He was doubtful and his uneasy face was clearly depicting that something grave had happened. Otherwise surely he won’t appear to be so tense all around either in front of her eyes.

For the next few minutes, Cyrus didn’t utter a single word. He stayed silent throughout, as he walked to the other side of the chamber to roam around in distress.

Witnessing these acts only raised the bars of Alice, whose frown even deepened. "Cyrus.. you can share anything with me. Tell me, what has happened? Is it related to the Kingdom?"

"the entire Royal Family, Alice," Cyrus told her, in the small blow, enough to gain her attention. "What happened to the entire family? Has anyone said something to you...?"

Cyrus was currently pacing around in the chamber with his unrelated heart. But then, he had stood at once.

With his downcasted eyes, he had no straight to look up and match with hers, but he still managed to say a few words. "Have you not noticed the changes in everyone’s behavior, Alice?"

"Changes?"

"Yes, the changes in Lady Ashley and Lady Aura’s nature? Or maybe Queen Elizabeth’s who has been so sweet nowadays?" Cyrus inquired, whose words held enough power to make her raise her brows.

For some minute seconds, she had already connected the dots and gave him a small nod. "I did. They are...nowadays..too persistent for me to learn the different skills as the Queen be. Queen to be...I have heard these words countless times till the time I have arrived here, Cyrus."

"You are correct. This is what I’m talking about." He told her bluntly, as Cyrus took another step closer. Keeping his hands on the back of his body, he only stared into her eyes that were already covered with the unknown mist. "Everyone’s strange behavior is something you need to regard, Alice."

"In this Kingdom, no one does anything until he or she has any benefit. For a while, I can keep Lady Ashley aside since I know that she doesn’t bore any ill intentions towards us but the rest of the Kingdom, I can’t say. Even Lady Aura is doing everything for a motive, maybe not dangerous but she does aim." Crown prince Cyrus’s words entered her ears like any blow.

In response, Alice blinked her eyes twice, tilting her head a bit to the left. "What kind of motive does she have?" Isn’t she sweet with her throughout the day?

Or did Alice’s eyes miss the significant things she shouldn’t have?

It cautioned her, even to the extent of changing her opinion about everyone. Till now, she had considered Lady Aura to be extremely sweet, at least holding nothing wrong.

But her actions don’t seem to be so righteous anymore.

"King Almen has been ruling over us for the last few centuries. Everyone needs a new King now, and it is all those people who are pushing me to take the next step in this regime." Cyrus’ words startled her.

"N-Next Step? W-what can be the next step..?"

There was a drastic fall in Cyrus’s expressions, with darkness covering his aura. "The next step is to take down my father from that throne forcefully and take the throne all for myself."

Alice’s wide eyes were evidence that she didn’t take these words well. Even she felt that this was the most useless and meaningless option in her eyes. ’Isn’t he already crowned Prince? he is already next in the lane of the throne..what is the hurry to show such a temptation for the thorn?’

It quarreled into her mind with dozens of thoughts crossing and playing ticks. And Alice had concluded that it was all useless. "It would mean betraying your father, Cyrus. Are you willing to do that? After all, he is your father..."

"He is dangerous." Was all Cyrus muttered, but still not appearing to be convinced by his own words. So was Alice, when she mentioned it. "Dangerous or not. You’re already the Crowned prince. I know that many don’t want you to take up the position of the King in the future but this...is this acceptable, Prince Cyrus?"

Alice brought this topic with the intent of making him realize the downfalls possible. Even if they can be left with nothing in their hands, and change the kings openly, it would hardly gain their allies since the powers still reside with the one and only, King Almen.

Whereas, Cyrus’s brows were carved into a thick knot, to reply to her. "I don’t care if others want me as the King or not. But it is King Almen, who poses a threat to us, Princess Alice."

"What do you mean to say?’

"Do you think that King Almen had arranged for me to marry you, simply to bring harmony between the two Kingdoms?" Cyrus’s words brought her out of the bubble which she had laid.

It was almost a negligible fact in her eyes that King Almen is very clever. He won’t perform any tasks until he has an inferior motive.

How could she easily forget the memory when he had persisted for the Human Empire in return for their marriage and the change of the brides? King Almen was almost ready to do anything to get his hands on the Suzania Kingdom, if not the interference of Cyrus and his wordings which played a trick to flip the entire seasons and the circumstances when he took her as his bride.

Gulping the saliva present in her mouth, Alice blinked her eyes once again as digested the hardly accepted fact.

But she wasn’t in any position to do so since this was the ultimate truth that was lying in their paths.

Her silence was convincing for Cyrus, who understood that it was hard for her to reply to such a vital question,"Let me give you the details. King Almen isn’t any easy vampire as you think. He has done many things in his life till now and many aren’t even unfolded"

"The ultimate aim of King Almen is to have his hands on the Human Empire and this is something I’m highly against. When the two empires are already living a lifestyle of peace, there is no need to create chaos among them and disturb the people. Unnecessarily fights and the people die in wars."

"I-I agree with you on this," Alice commented since she could hardly imagine how many innocent lives are lost.

The battle was right to be won by one of them, however, things weren’t as easy as they all thought them to be.

If the war happens, the wedding will be ruled out. The pact of his marriage will break and she...would need to return to her kingdom.

The thought of living away from Cyrus was distresable. Not because she has anything with him but since she has grown to accept that she has been married off to the vampire, it has been a vital new experience. Being a wife of someone was the next level feeling and immediately, someone tells her to leave her husband..it was automatically the opposite when both of them are taking steps toward each other.

But before anything else, Alice had to take deep breaths to not let her rages reach up to her mind either.

She was fine with the things going around but not with herself. "What do you expect out of me, Prince Cyrus?"

"I want you to...be ready for anything, princess. I will avoid war at any cost. But my aim is to protect you and everyone. Remember that, for me, the kingdom is my life..because its people are my responsibilities."

"And I will never come in between these responsibilities of yours, Prince," Alice answered with a confident self, with her eyes gleaming.

For a second, Cyrus could feel that emotion surge inside his mind. There were the sentiments that clicked in his brain but they faded at the same speed to even reconsider.

On the other hand, it was Alice, who had the bundles of questions to ask. "Tell me one thing, Prince. Why is King not ready to take you as the King even though he has declared you as the Prince of the Kingdom?"

"If I had answers, I wouldn’t be so confused about this," Cyrus mumbled before he walked to the small window that was present in their chamber.

He walked there, to look and stare out from the window.

Following his lead, Alice stayed beside him and stood at the same place before she parted her lips. "But there must be a reason for the King to do that. If Queen Elizabeth has such power and thrust to not let you be the king, I think it is surely because there are reasons behind it. But I’m pretty much sure that the Queen and the King aren’t linked in this."

Cyrus doesn’t believe anything else. He let Alice build the theories. But then, he had taken note of her words, and internally, he couldn’t help but agree with her. "Hmm..we don’t know about them."

"But..Princess...." Turning his face in Alice’s direction, he only fixed his gaze upon her. She was looking beautiful, with the end working and trying to answer for him but he found her actions to be extremely cute in his eyes. "Are you sure that..you will be able to handle the pressure of being a queen?"

"There will be hardships in our ways. Maybe, we both will have to move somewhere else too. Are you willing to undergo this all? Because you have options, Princess Alice."
