His Toxic Addiction-Chapter 330: DO NOT PURCHASE
Chapter 330: DO NOT PURCHASE
Arissa woke up feeling sore all over her body. Her grip on the sheets tightened to support herself as she sat up on the bed.
She faced Nicklaus’s side of the bed and the moment she saw he wasn’t there, her mood drooped. freewebnoveℓ.com
She stretched to the lampstand and picked up her phone. Her brows shot up when she saw no missed calls from Jocelyn, not even a text.
Her eyes widened and she quickly scrolled through her phone to get to her call log. On her way there, she paused when she realized her phone was placed on DND.
She reasoned why she would put her phone on DND and Nicklaus came to her mind. Her brows wiggled, her cheeks heated up and a smile plastered itself across her lips.
He was the only one who would do that, considering what Jocelyn said at the hospital about how he demanded no disturbance.
’He’s so sweet,’ her mind spoke up.
Arissa rolled her eyes, ’I thought you died,’ she replied hilariously and then she imagined her mind glaring at her before looking away.
She cleared her hoarse throat which was caused by so much moaning last night before dialing Jocelyn’s number.
"Hey," she spoke up the moment the call was connected.
Jocelyn cleared her throat from the other end, "You finally decided to call back," she said in a low voice.
Arissa sighed and rubbed her forehead, "I’m sorry I had to ignore your calls," she laid back on the bed, "How are you doing?"
"I’m okay. How is your marriage?" Jocelyn asked about the marriage because from what she had seen about Arissa, whenever her marriage was okay her friend would be, and if the marriage wasn’t, her friend would not be.
Arissa blushed and then she rubbed her stomach, "He forgave me last night,"
Jocelyn chuckled, "I hope you won’t turn his soft spot towards you as something you could take for granted. The dude also has feelings and I want you to know that," she advised.
Arissa nodded her head as if Jocelyn was before her, "I did something extreme last night, my dumb self," she grunted.
Jocelyn giggled, "Tell me about it," she urged. From Arissa’s tune, she figured it would have something to do with Nicklaus. Hence, that stupid thing would be fun.
Arissa’s heart leaped and she took in a deep breath, "I asked him if he was in love with me."
Jocelyn froze from the other end but when her voice came out, she sounded calm, "And what did he say? How did you feel after asking him that? Did you confess?"
Arissa shook her head, "Why are you so calm?" she asked, her voice frustrated.
Jocelyn laughed, "Was I supposed to panic?" she asked, "It’s no crime to confess your feelings so, chill,"
"Okay,"
From the other end, Jocelyn stood up from her seat and changed her sitting position. "So what did he answer to the question?"
"He said he doesn’t deserve love and the same goes out to everyone," she began and went on telling Jocelyn all that transpired down to the sex part, and then she gasped.
Jocelyn who was drowned in the story frowned when Arissa paused with a sudden gasp.
"Did something happen?" there was a little panic in Jocelyn’s voice as she asked. She was about to tease Arissa with her first punishment sex but her friend’s sudden sharp gasp changed all of it.
Arissa loosened her hair bun and ran her fingers through it. "I haven’t taken the pills yet and it’s already a day long. We made love before I left the house this morning,"
Jocelyn laughed, "You do not want me to have my niece and nephews early?" She made her voice sad to gain remorse from Arissa.
Arissa rolled her eyes, "I do," she laughed seeing through Jocelyn’s acts, "But he isn’t in love with me yet."
On the other end, Jocelyn’s face fell, "Did you not mention where he said he could make an exemption for you? If he could love you, you can also make him fall in love with you," she told Arissa softly.
Arissa drew in a sharp breath and folded her legs to herself, "All the more reason why I should take my time before bringing kids into this world. He would be a great dad but I want my kids to be shielded by the both of us."
"Aww," Jocelyn cried from the other end, "I can’t believe you grew up with Laura as a mother. You are already such a great mother even without kids," she called out.
"Look," she continued, "If that’s how you feel now, I love it and I am glad you want the best for your kids. Guide your heart and make him fall in love with you but while doing that, do it at the right dose and not extreme. Just like Adele said, care for him with tender patience and he will come around,"
Arissa smiled, "I will, Nicklaus also understands." she assured her friend.
Pushing Nicklaus and everything that concerns him to the back of her mind, she went down to her main issue. "Adele, is she awake?"
"She is but she’s in the ward with Collins. I came out to get what we would have as breakfast," Jocelyn replied.
Arissa smiled, "I wish I could hug you right now," she said softly, using the voice of a spoilt child.
Jocelyn laughed, "Now, that shouldn’t be so hard. Let’s switch over to video calls and hug our phones."
Arissa became confused, "Are you serious right now?" How would she hug someone through the phone?
"Take the phone off your ear and hug it,"
Arissa took the phone off her ear and a wide smile covered her lips when she saw Jocelyn’s face already on the screen.
She pushed away the childishness she felt came from Jocelyn’s suggestion and hugged her phone to her chest.
Jocelyn did the same and simultaneously, they both uttered, "I love you."
They brought their phones up to their faces and giggled. They were both grateful to have known each other but Arissa was most grateful.
"It doesn’t feel so bad, does it?"
"It doesn’t," Arisa agreed referring to the phone hug.
Jocelyn smiled, "Think deeply about the pills before taking them. Bye, I have to go. My order is ready,"
"I will," Arissa agreed.
