His soul-Chapter 94: Barbara’s death
The peaceful atmosphere at the Sanders residence had to be disturbed again by the arrival of two police officers who suddenly appeared without an invitation. Julian, who was still on the first floor, was the one who greeted him, but just as the policeman spoke a few words, suddenly Julian fell down on the sofa. Vanessa, who happened to be coming down from the second floor, immediately accelerated her steps towards where Julian was.
"W-what’s wrong? What happened? Why did you two come to our house? We’re good citizens—"
"The car Mrs. Barbara Sanders was driving had an accident, the driver and Mrs Barbara herself were declared unsafe in the incident, madam." One of the policemen immediately cut Vanessa’s words with a slightly trembling tone.
Prank
A glass cup that was being held by Yohanes Sanders suddenly shattered when it hit the floor after it slipped from the old man’s grip who had just come out of his study with Charlie the assistant.
"Daddy," Barbara called softly when she saw Yohanes who was already standing behind them.
Things got chaotic when Yohanes Sanders suddenly fainted, luckily Charlie was nearby so Yohanes Sanders’s body didn’t touch the floor. Several maids who happened to be on the first floor also helped Charlie carry Yohanes to his room, not long after that the cries of several maids filled the room as the news of the death of Barbara the great mistress spread.

Dozens of luxury cars of various latest brands were seen passing by in the yard of the Sanders family’s house, business partners, Barcelona city officials and several acquaintances who had good relations with the Sanders family immediately came to the funeral home as soon as the news of Barbara Sanders’ death spread.
As the wife of Yohanes Sanders, Barbara’s name is well known, her kindness and friendliness are also known by various circles. Quite active in the world of humanity and several charitable activities make it have its own name in the hearts of some Barcelona people.
One by one the guests shook hands with Yohanes and Julian who looked very shocked to see the woman who had been their mediator during the fight was lying stiff in the coffin in front of them, meanwhile Vanessa, who was dressed all in black, was seen sitting next to Barbara’s coffin. with tears in her eyes with her two daughters with Diego who became the support of his two younger siblings. The only member of the Sanders family who was not seen around Barbara’s corpse was Gina, currently Gina was sitting by her bedroom bed with all the lights off with the door locked from the inside.
As soon as she heard the news of her grandmother’s death, Gina, who was in her room looking at her father’s childhood photos in the photo album given by her grandmother, immediately became silent and did nothing when a maid brought the news to her, let alone hysterical like Selena and Rosa cried. just not. Gina really gave a different expression from everyone else in the house. Now when the grandmother’s body had been brought home Gina was still in her room, shutting herself in the dark. The only person who really loved and accepted her presence sincerely in the house was gone, no one would call her in his soft voice anymore at this time.
Knock..knock...
"Open the door, Gina. Your grandmother’s coffin will be closing soon, don’t you want to see it one last time?" Patrick Davidson’s voice came from behind the door.
Gina immediately held her chest as soon as she heard her grandmother’s coffin would be closed, with difficulty Gina got up from the floor where she had been sitting for almost two hours. Her steps limped towards the door, Gina’s hands seemed to tremble slightly when she opened the door handle of her room.
As soon as the door opened Patrick immediately hugged Gina tightly. "Don’t be afraid, honey. You still have Uncle, Uncle won’t let you face it all alone."
Gina’s chest tightened at Patrick’s words, her throat hurting. As if there were dozens of needles stuck there.
"Let’s go downstairs, give your last greetings," Patrick said softly as he let go of Gina’s arms.
Only a small nod that Gina gave to Patrick in response to what she just said, Patrick who understood Gina’s condition then invited the girl to go down to the first floor. While everyone was wearing dark clothes, only Gina was the only person wearing white, it was very striking and attracted the attention of many people. With her hair down and a slightly pale face, Gina’s appearance looks a little messed up.
"Go," Patrick said softly back to Gina when they arrived in front of Barbara’s coffin.
Gina walked with her head down, even though her eyes were already hot, but still no tears flowed from her beautiful green eyes. Once at the end of the coffin Gina reached out her hand trying to touch the face of the grandmother who was sleeping peacefully.
"Goodbye, Grandma. Tell my mom I’m fine right now," Gina said softly as her hands ran down Barbara’s cold face.
After almost two minutes of just sitting next to her grandmother’s coffin, Julian came and wrapped his arms around Gina’s waist.
"Grandma is calm for now," he said quietly. "Her dream of meeting you has come true, Gina."
Gina nodded slowly in response to her father’s words that only she could hear, Julian then gave it to the officers to close his mother’s coffin. Yohanes Sanders, who had been sitting in his chair for a long time, seemed to have closed his eyes for a very long time when his wife’s coffin was closed, now he really will not be able to see his wife again. The most patient woman finally left before herself as she always said when going to bed at night.
Shortly after the coffin was closed, several officers began to lift the coffin to be carried out to the courtyard, Vanessa’s cries were heard very loudly accompanying the event. Vanessa really showed herself as a good daughter-in-law of the Sanders family in front of business colleagues who came. Some of the wives of Barcelona city officials even personally supported Vanessa for the death of Barbara, Vanessa was really very good at taking advantage of the atmosphere.
Barbara’s coffin was taken to the funeral, all of her family members joined, including Gina who was in the same car with her father and grandfather. While heading to the funeral, Julian didn’t let go of Gina’s hand, Gina herself just gave in. There was no sign of her rejecting her father’s treatment.
The convoy finally stopped when they arrived at a fairly large cemetery in Barcelona, one by one the guests who accompanied Barbara’s body got out of the car, including her family. The funeral process began, as soon as a priest finished praying Barbara’s coffin was inserted into the ground. Like at home, Vanessa’s crying voice returned to being the loudest crying sound, Patrick, who was standing behind Gina and Julian, even raised his eyebrows at Vanessa’s cry, which he thought was too much. But because he didn’t want to spoil the atmosphere, Patrick chose silence and tried to ignore Vanessa even though it was very difficult, the woman was really annoying.
"Let’s go home, honey," said Julian gently to Gina when all the funeral procession was over.
Gina shook her head. "I still want to be here."
"Are you sure?" Patrick asked quickly.
Gina nodded.
"But everyone has gone home, Gina. Do you dare to be alone in the tomb? It’s getting dark, dear," said Julian softly.
"Back when mom died I just kept her with me until the evening was eaten, so this is nothing for me," said Gina quietly.
"But..."
Julian’s words were cut off when Patrick’s hand touched his shoulder.
"Okay, Daddy will be waiting for you in the car," said Julian again.
Gina didn’t respond, her eyes were still fixed on the cross-shaped headstone that was now attached to Barbara’s grave. Patrick and Julian finally gave Gina more time to stay at the tomb, the two men walked towards the car parked in front of the gate of the tomb area.
As soon as there was no one in the grave Gina immediately fell to her knees on the still wet ground, she didn’t care about her clothes getting dirty. The tears that had been held back for a long time finally flowed freely without stopping, Gina repeatedly called the name of the grandmother who was now in a different world from her.
"Liars, you liars."
"Why did you have the heart to leave me? Why?"
Gina cried profusely, lamenting the departure of the second woman who loved her sincerely. The woman who gave her warmth after her mother.
"Why do you have to leave so soon, Grandma? Why sob sob sob..."
Not far from where Gina mourned the departure of her grandmother, a young man seemed to smile at her. In the man’s hand he held a gold crescent-shaped pendant which was a pair of silver crescent moon pendants that were wrapped around Gina’s neck.
