His soul-Chapter 496: Be targeted
Selena, Rosa, Julian and Diego just sat silently watching Gina who was voraciously enjoying instant noodles in glass shaped Styrofoam packaging originating from South Korea. The sound of slurping from Gina’s lips while consuming instant noodles sounded very clear to the ears of the four people, Gina really really enjoyed her food without feeling guilty.
The instant noodles which are a little spicy and the grilled sausage and seaweed as a sprinkling make Gina’s instant noodles look very tempting for noodle lovers like Gina.
"Sweetheart, take it easy." Julian spoke softly warning Gina to eat slowly, seeing how Gina was eating so voraciously really worried Julian. Never consuming instant noodles in his entire life made Julian look worried by the way Gina eats like a hungry person.
Gina lifted her face, staring at her father with a mouth full of sausages and instant noodles that she had just taken in big mouthfuls. An excited nod Gina gave in response to the warning her father had just spoken.
Selena gripped Rosa’s arm tightly. "Tell Gina quickly, Rosa. It’s not healthy," Selena whispered quietly.
"Leave it alone, just one pack won’t be a big deal."
"Yeah but..."
"Leave it alone, Selena," Diego said quietly, interrupting Selena’s words. "It’s been a long time we haven’t seen Gina eat this deliciously, so let her enjoy her food this time. I can’t bear to forbid her to eat, after all, doctor olivia didn’t forbid it either? As long as Gina doesn’t eat too much and it’s still within normal limits, the food will be fine for the baby."
Diego’s wise words made Julian’s lips curl into a smile, even though he was actually worried to see Gina eating such very unhealthy food, but in his heart he felt a little relieved because he could see Gina again eating voraciously. Not like the last two weeks.
"What Diego said is true, as long as Gina eats it in moderation it’s fine. So don’t worry too much, Aunty Selena."
Selena immediately turned her face quickly towards Rosa. "Aunty Selena?" Selena repeated Rosa’s words in a barely audible voice.
"Yes, Aunty Selena. What do you want to be called by Gina’s child later?"
Selena’s eyes widened, she was still very mesmerized by the word ’Aunty’ that Rosa had just said.
"If I want to be called sister," joked Rosa without guilt.
Julian and Diego immediately looked away, staring at Rosa following what Selena was doing.
"Sister? How can you be called sister?" said Julian confused.
Rosa smiled widely. "Could be, because I don’t want to be called Aunt. I was too young to get that nickname, so I chose to be called sister."
Diego, who was annoyed with Gina’s words, immediately moved his hand quickly to Rosa’s head and immediately ruffled her neatly combed hair. "Don’t talk nonsense, how can it be like that!"
"Diego!!" Rosa screamed in annoyance, hair was the most forbidden area which she always kept neatly and not just anyone could touch. "My hair is broken!"
"What’s broken? What did I do?" tease Diego.
Rosa narrowed her eyes, giving Diego a murderous look. Diego, who was happy that he had managed to seduce Rosa, couldn’t help but chuckle guiltily. Meanwhile, Selena, who was sitting in the middle of Rosa and Diego, couldn’t help but be patient, not showing the slightest intention of breaking up the brother and sister’s argument. Selena was still lost in the word ’Aunty’ that Rosa said earlier, her eyes were still on Gina who was still very voraciously enjoying her food.
Julian, who was previously shocked by Rosa’s words, who was asked to be called a sister by Gina’s children, could only shake his head slowly seeing Diego and Selena’s argument, seeing his children joking like that made Julian a little comforted even though at this time he was still very concerned about the fate of Gina and her child.
After ten minutes had passed, Gina managed to finish a serving of Korean instant noodles plus a large grilled sausage. Gina even drank all the instant noodle soup without any residue, Gina really enjoyed her food gratefully.
"Full?" asked Julian softly as he wiped the remaining seaweed on Gina’s cheeks which were slightly wet with sweat.
Gina smiled widely. "Yes," Gina answered quickly. "It tastes really, really good."
"Glad you enjoyed it, honey."
Gina widened her smile when she heard her father’s words again, but Gina’s smile immediately faded when she saw the four members of her family, it turned out that she had been taking any food. They really just sat and accompanied Gina to eat.
"You’re not eating?" asked Gina, confused.
"Daddy’s still full, honey. Just before you got home Daddy and Diego had eaten."
"Yeah, we’re still full, Gina. After all, our goal for this mini market is..."
Krkkk...
Diego’s stomach suddenly growled loudly, begging to be filled.
Caught lying, Diego’s face turned red. Actually she and Julian hadn’t eaten anything since morning, they were both too busy taking care of Gina’s insurance. After Gina was divorced by Massimo, Julian immediately acted quickly by reinserting Gina into the Sanders family register. Julian did this with the intention that when Gina’s child was born he would automatically bear the last name Sanders. That’s why he and Diego are very busy today.
A mocking smile immediately spread across Gina’s face, without speaking Gina grabbed her father’s hand. Ask him to stand up and walk towards the row of shelves behind them. Julian, who couldn’t refuse Gina, couldn’t help but surrender when Gina gave him four cups of instant noodles that Gina had previously eaten.
"Procrastinating eating isn’t good, Dad. That’s why you should eat and enjoy my favorite instant noodles, I guarantee you’ll like it," Gina said excitedly while pointing at the display case which contained lots of grilled sausages that were still warm.
"Four sausages, miss?"
"No, I want five."
The cashier of the minimarket smiled at Gina’s words, after taking five large grilled sausages from the window and then giving them to Gina using a heat-resistant plate. The smell of the delicious beef sausage made Gina blush, her hunger returned and she decided to order extra sausage for herself.
After paying for all the food taken, Gina then took her father to go to where the hot springs were. Inside the minimarket, there is a place to make coffee, tea and instant noodles in the corner, especially for visitors who want to enjoy food and drinks that have just been purchased from the minimarket.
When he saw Gina put the seasoning into the instant noodles which had just been filled with hot water, Julian’s eyes widened, he couldn’t believe how much msg Gina had put in.
"Eating instant noodles like this once in a while is fine, Dad. As long as it’s not every day, I don’t think the doctor will forbid it," Gina said cheerfully, Gina realized that her father had been watching her for a long time.
Julian pursed his lips. "Did your mother often eat instant noodles like this in the past, dear?"
"Mother?"
"Yes, your mother."
Gina shook her head. "No, mother never consumed instant noodles. I prefer to eat only one apple for dinner instead of enjoying instant noodles with me. I thought I did that because my mother was on a diet. But after doctor Ali said she had cancer, I finally realized why mom really maintains her healthy lifestyle."
Julian’s chest felt tight hearing Gina’s words, Sandra’s face immediately appeared in his memory.
"Mom is calm and not sick anymore, Dad. So, Daddy don’t feel sad," said Gina quickly trying to calm her father’s heart once she read the sadness on his father’s face.
Julian pursed his lips, trying to smile. "Yes, your mother is calm now."
Gina nodded slowly, because she had finished putting all the seasonings into the fourth cup of the instant noodles, Gina then waved her hand calling her three siblings to come closer. She couldn’t have brought the hot instant noodles herself.
Diego, Selena and Rosa rushed over to Gina as soon as they saw Gina waving her hand.
"Can I help you, Gina?" Diego asked quickly.
Gina smiled. "Here, bring your own instant noodles. Be careful, it’s still hot."
Selena stared in horror at Gina. "You want us to eat this too, Gina?"
"Yeah, why is that? No problem, right?" Gina asked innocently.
"Th-This is unhealthy food," Selena muttered under her breath.
Gina smiled. "Try it first, after you try it then you can comment. Hurry up and grab your instant noodles and then we sit back down, my legs hurt from standing up for a long time."
Julian, who didn’t want anything to happen to Gina, then rushed to their previous table with a cup of his own instant noodles, followed by Rosa who gave Gina a sweet smile.
"Come back, you should also sit down and give me the plate of sausages," Diego said softly.
"It’s ok, I can..."
Gina’s words were stopped by Diego’s hand movements which immediately grabbed the plate containing the sausage in her hand, seeing Diego not having any trouble when carrying the plate and cup of instant noodles that were still hot, Gina then followed behind him. Following where her father and Rosa sat, Selena who had no other choice then grabbed her own cup of instant noodles and carried it half-heartedly while imagining what kind of exercise she should do tomorrow to atone for the sin she would commit in a moment. As a professional model, Selena knows how many calories are in one cup of instant noodles and it takes hours of workout to burn those calories.
Five minutes later, Gina just smiled alone seeing her father and siblings looking voraciously enjoying the instant noodles she had chosen. Selena, who vehemently refuses to eat unhealthy food looks the happiest. She even joined in mixing seaweed into her instant noodles following Gina’s way before, never eating instant noodles made all members of the Sanders family really enjoy the food. Several times Julian even had time to praise the inventor of instant noodles, which made Gina chuckle.
From a distance, without Diego and Julian knowing. There was a man watching them, in his hand there was a high-resolution camera that was occasionally pointed at them, the man took many photos of Gina. As if Gina was the target.
Although already three months pregnant, but Gina has not experienced significant changes in body shape. What’s more, she’s currently wearing an oversized t-shirt and a peach-colored cardigan that perfectly disguises the presence of the baby in her slightly bulging belly. In a sitting position like this, no one would have thought that Gina was pregnant.
