His soul-Chapter 294: Back home
Massimo wiped water on Gina’s lips gently using his thumb in front of everyone who had just helped prepare Gina to go home, Gina who felt healed continued to whine and plead for Massimo to be allowed to go home. Massimo, who couldn’t stand the whining from Gina, finally allowed him to go home with a note that Gina had to be willing to be checked by Thomas every day.
Gina enthusiastically agreed to Massimo’s conditions, the important thing for Gina was to get out of the hospital as soon as possible. Gina has bad memories with the hospital even though it will never happen again considering she is currently a Sanders and wife of Massimo del Cano, but still Gina’s heartache and anger at the treatment of the hospital that used to be very rude to her and her mother still lingers to this day.
"My infusion?" Gina asked quietly as she held out her hand to Massimo after she had finished taking her last medicine.
Massimo shook his head. "The IV will stay in your hand until Thomas makes sure you don’t really need it."
"I’ve recovered." Gina protested again with an annoyed face.
"Yeah yeah you’re fine, but still this IV will be on you at least until tomorrow morning when Thomas comes to check on you."
"But..."
"If you still have a problem with the IV drip tonight, we’ll just spend the night at the hospital then," said Massimo quietly without guilt.
"Hell No! I don’t like hospitals," Gina said loudly.
Massimo chuckled. "Well, don’t argue then."
Gina nodded her head slowly, not daring to protest anymore. Obeying Massimo is the most appropriate choice to do at this time. Gina didn’t want to provoke Massimo’s anger when she had managed to get a secret weapon to subdue the Iberian Wolf who was sitting in front of her right now.
Massimo likes to be praised and raised to the sky as Gina has done before by accident, it seems that now Gina already knows in their relationship that Massimo is not the only one who has power. She also has the same power in regulating Massimo. Gina has that much power. Massimo is crazy and out of his mind because he is jealous of the men who have looked at her while in the hotel restaurant, this makes Gina even more sure that Massimo is so crazy about her and Gina intends to take advantage of it.
When all the preparations were done, Gina was finally allowed to go home. With his own hands, Massimo carried Gina off the bed to the wheelchair that was already being held by Martin.
"Nothing left?"
"Nothing, sir. Mrs.’s personal belongings and medicines have been tidied up," Martin replied politely as he waved his hand forward, showing Massimo a goodie bag.
"Good."
A second later Massimo pushed Gina’s wheelchair towards the exit followed by a nurse carrying Gina’s IV bottle which was full because it had just been replaced and would not run out quickly because Thomas had timed the drip well. Gina’s protest to release the IV is not without reason, Gina feels that the cause of her frequent urination is the fluid that is entering her body and Gina is too lazy to go back and forth to the bathroom because honestly her stomach still hurts when asked to walk and Gina keeps this a secret from Massimo.
Gina would rather endure a little pain than have to spend another night in one of the places she really dislikes, as she was being pushed towards the car Gina could see that many of Massimo’s men were already standing making a posse so that their walk through the hall to the car would not be hindered. Gina, who couldn’t help but ask, finally opened her mouth and asked what Massimo really wanted by mobilizing so many of his men.
"There are paparazzi everywhere, there are people who have leaked about my presence in this hospital, Gina. That’s why I asked my men to sterilize the hospital area." Massimo gently answered the question asked by Gina gently without stopping his footsteps.
"Paparazzi? Are you an artist to be chased by paparazzi," Gina said softly teasing Massimo, Gina doubted the answer Massimo had just said. Because it seems impossible that there are paparazzi chasing a mafia. Gina forgets that Massimo is not an ordinary mafia, Massimo is stronger than the ruthless mafia that has been described in the film. His power is also on par with the tycoon’s business empire he has built in recent years.
Massimo pursed his lips at Gina’s words, he was too lazy to respond to Gina’s words and preferred to speed up his steps towards the car. Once at the side of the car, Massimo again carried Gina into the car carefully. Once in the car Gina finally saw dozens of journalists who were pointing cameras at them. Instantly Gina immediately turned her face away, to avoid reporters who continued to take photos of those who were already in the car.
Seeing Gina hide her face made Massimo smile with amusement. "So how? Can your husband be called an artist if it’s like this?" Massimo teases Gina.
"Ishh ... hurry up and don’t tease me," Gina replied curtly as she continued to stare at Massimo with her back to the window to avoid the reporters’ cameras, Gina didn’t know that Massimo’s car window was the best. Anyone who is in the car will not be seen from the outside, even if that person uses a flash camera. Gina didn’t want her face to appear in any newspapers or articles, Gina wasn’t ready for any gossip to talk about her with Massimo.
Gina does not want her good name to be associated with Massimo del Cano, although on the other hand Gina often insinuates Massimo about their marriage. Gina didn’t realize that her request for Massimo to publicize their marital status would have more effect than a gossip article that would discuss her relationship with Massimo tonight. The naive and innocent Gina is like holding two equally sharp knives.
Massimo smiled again, he then ordered Pablo to leave immediately after Martin got into the car. A nurse who was sitting near Gina did not dare to make a sound, tonight she was assigned by Thomas to look after Gina.
Due to the effect of the last medicine she took a moment ago, Gina slowly closed her eyes. The drowsiness that plagued her was too strong to be resisted, allowing Massimo to go home, making Gina happy. Never before had Gina been so happy as to return to Massimo’s strong and impenetrable castle, a place that Gina had previously hated was now a place to return to after all the tiring things she had been through these past few days.
