Thirty minutes before Gina met Massimo.

Gina, who had just finished wearing her clothes, was startled by a call coming into her cell phone from an anonymous number, with a little hesitation Gina pressed the green button on her cell phone screen to accept the incoming call.

Gina’s eyes widened. "Luke!"

Gina immediately gripped the hem of her cardigan tightly. "Why are you calling me again, Luke? Didn’t I ..."

Gina touched her left chest using her right hand to suppress her emotions so they wouldn’t rekindle again. "Luke, come on..."

"You’re not married, Gina. Your marriage with that bastard is just a sham, your marriage is illegitimate in the eyes of law and religion." Lucas shouted loudly full of emotion.

Gina froze. Blank.

The cell phone that Gina was holding fell to the floor instantly, her whole body went limp. Luckily in the walk-in closet where she is currently there is still a nurse who accompanies Gina, without being ordered the nurse grabbed Gina’s cellphone and gave it back to the owner.

"I will send a recording of our conversation to you so you know I’m not lying," Lucas said faintly before finally the call was disconnected.

Less than two minutes later a voice message came into Gina’s cellphone, with shaking hands Gina pointed her finger at the screen of her cellphone which was on the other side of the screen. on her lap to open the message Lucas sent.

Gina’s tears flowed uncontrollably, the voice she had just heard was Massimo’s. The voice of a man who had started to occupy a bit of space within her. Gina cried silently with her head down.

Another nurse who had just finished storing first aid kits was surprised when she saw the lady she was serving was crying, when she was about to open her lips to ask a question suddenly the nurse’s lips were closed by another nurse and immediately asked to leave the place leaving Gina alone.

For nearly ten minutes Gina continued to cry, her brain replaying her wedding ceremony with Massimo two days ago. Gina can still remember the look in Massimo’s very gentle eyes when he said his wedding vows clearly, even the first kiss that Massimo gave after he finished saying the sacred vows could still be felt by Gina. Remembering that beautiful incident, Gina’s tears grew louder, the sweetness of marriage was really not felt by Gina at all.

"I-I can explain Gina..."

Gina shook her head slowly. "I don’t need any more explanation, Massimo. I’ve heard everything you guys talk about, including your bet on the two of you."

Massimo growled, cursing Lucas Dom for telling Gina their secret. Seeing Gina sobbing like she was right now made Massimo’s heart feel like it was being grabbed from the inside.

Feeling thirsty, Gina then wiped her tears with both hands, after which she removed the ring on her left ring finger that Massimo had put on during the mock wedding ceremony two days ago.

"I don’t think I deserve to wear this," Gina said hoarsely as she held out the ring in her hand to Massimo.

"Gina..."

"Take it."

Massimo heavily raised his hand in the air to accept the ring in Gina’s grip. After the ring was received by Massimo, Gina then grabbed her cellphone and immediately called the nurse who was on the first floor. It didn’t take long for the two nurses to reach the third floor.

"Please take me to the garden," Gina begged softly to her two nurses with teary eyes.

"Yes, madam," replied a bespectacled nurse politely as she grabbed the handle of Gina’s wheelchair.

But just as she was about to be pushed into the elevator suddenly Gina asked the nurse who was pushing her wheelchair to stop for a moment, Gina then turned her face towards Massimo and said. "Use handwriting to make the agreement, just like our predecessors did. After you sign, please put it on my bed, thank you."

Massimo closed his eyes hearing Gina’s words, every word that came out of Gina’s lips really made him feel tight. The secret he had kept so well was now revealed.

Not wanting to talk to Massimo any longer, Gina then asked her nurse to push her wheelchair back, Massimo raised his hands in the air as Gina’s body disappeared in the elevator. There was a loud rattling sound from Massimo’s clashing teeth at this time, Massimo was really angry. Without a second thought, Massimo then ran towards the stairs to go down to the first floor.

Arriving on the first floor Massimo shouted for Martin and some of his other men to be invited to go to Lucas Dom’s home, as Massimo came out of the main door of Gina’s wheelchair out of the elevator. Gina also still had time to see how Massimo ran to his car in a hurry.

"After you take me to the garden you can have lunch," Gina said softly to her two nurses in a hoarse voice.

"We’re still full, madam."

"That’s right, madam. We’re still not hungry."

Gina pursed her lips at the two nurses’ words. "Lunch is past and since I woke up at ten you haven’t left me, so how can you still be full. Don’t hesitate."

"Okay, we’ll take turns then, madam," said the bespectacled nurse Amora quickly.

Gina shook her head. "No need, you guys can eat together. Don’t worry, I’ll be fine. Besides, I can’t go anywhere either, can I?"

"But in the back garden it’s close to..."

"My husband’s pet black panther is tame, he won’t be able to jump over the fence around his cage. After all, they’re full too and I’m pretty sure they won’t fall for a fleshless human like me." Gina joked quietly trying to be funny.

Amora and her partner looked at each other for a while, then they agreed to go out to eat together. After locking the wheel on the wheelchair to keep it from moving, Amora and Kelly left, leaving Gina alone in the garden. The two nurses walked briskly towards the house for lunch, when they were about to pass through the door when they came across three bodyguards who had just picked up a gun from the warehouse. The two nurses politely asked the three big men for help to guard Gina from a distance, without daring to argue that the three bodyguards were doing their extra work, watching the madam who was sitting alone in the garden in her wheelchair.

The cool breeze and the feeling of tiredness that attacked Gina finally started to close her eyes, the hunger in her stomach was defeated by the drowsiness and tiredness that began to dominate.
