Chapter 102: Massimo’s charm

Gina was standing near the entrance of the secret passage that Massimo had pointed out a while ago timidly, she was afraid that someone might catch her there. The reason is now that Selena and Rosa are home, the two half-sisters are back with the sun starting to set, bringing dozens of shopping bags from various well-known fashion houses. Shopping and splurge are the lifestyle of Selena and Rosa once.

"Why doesn’t he show up, just see if it’s more than the allotted time then I’ll...aaakhhhh!!"

Gina screamed quite loudly when a large hand touched her shoulder from behind, fortunately the owner of the hand immediately covered Gina’s mouth so that Gina’s screams were no longer heard.

"Shh... it’s me," said Massimo hoarsely.

Gina’s eyes twitched when she saw Massimo appear before her in an unexpected way, seeing how surprised Gina made Massimo happy.

"You’re cute when you’re surprised like this."

Gina, who knew that Massimo was being ridiculed, immediately grabbed Massimo’s hand which was still in his mouth, Gina roughly removed the hand from her mouth and immediately retreated back quickly while rubbing her mouth with her hand, trying to get rid of Massimo’s handprints from there.

"Don’t be silly, we’ve met. Tell me what you want, I don’t have much time." Gina went straight to the point, asking why Massimo had asked her to meet.

Massimo brushed his hair, he didn’t look scared at all. Though at this time he was in the Sanders family home. "There’s still plenty of time, Gina and I don’t like talking in an uncomfortable place like this."

"Of course not comfortable, your presence is not wanted in this place," said Gina curtly.

Massimo chuckled, instead of being angry at Gina’s words, Massimo stepped forward to approach Gina. Gina, who felt uncomfortable immediately retreated backwards, but because she was standing near the wall, Gina couldn’t go anywhere. She’s trapped!

"We’ll leave this place, after that we’ll talk," said Massimo quietly right in front of Gina, because Gina’s height is not too much different from Massimo, so Massimo doesn’t need to lower his head when talking to Gina at times like this.

Gina looked at Massimo who was standing in front of her. "I’m not going anywhere, it’s getting late after all. I need to rest."

"Oh so you don’t want to go with me?"

"Yes of course!"

"Okay then, I’ll just speak loudly so people can hear my voice and..."

Shit.

Gina immediately covered Massimo’s mouth with both hands, because she used both hands as a result Gina lost her balance and made her fall onto Massimo’s body who was standing straight. With his burly body Massimo managed to hold Gina’s body, so the two of them didn’t fall.

"Don’t mess around, Marco. I could be hanged if I get caught putting a man in," Gina said coldly, full of threats.

Massimo smiled, Gina still calls him Marco which means Gina still considers him a friend. All of Massimo’s worries for the last few hours disappeared instantly now, because Massimo was already worried that Gina would be angry with him considering the unfriendly attitude Gina had shown earlier.

"Mmmm mmmm..."

"What? Speak clearly?!"

Massimo gently lowered Gina’s hand from his mouth. "How can I talk if you keep my mouth shut like that."

Gina’s face heated up, Massimo really knew how to make her uneasy.

"Let’s go out, we’ll be more flexible if we talk outside," said Massimo quietly, breaking Gina’s thoughts, pulling his hand towards the secret door that was near them.

Going back down the dirty, dark and musty secret passageway made Gina uncomfortable. Without realizing it, Gina had gripped Massimo’s hand tightly, she even screamed several times when she heard the sound of a mouse.

Massimo himself just smiled and didn’t react, he didn’t want to spoil the atmosphere he thought was fun.massimo seemed to really like that dark place, now he really enjoys step by step in the secret path.

After five minutes Gina finally got a breath of fresh air, she headed straight for the trail to fill her lungs with oxygen again.

Massimo smiled again, countless times he had smiled when he was with Gina. Yet as everyone knows, Massimo del Cano is a man who almost never smiles. But when he was with Gina like now, Massimo smiled easily.

What a miracle!

When Gina was venting her freedom after being freed from the narrow, dirty and smelly road, suddenly Massimo took out a white object towards Gina.

Gina frowned. "What is this?"

"For you."

Gina swallowed her saliva. Oh my God, this man is crazy.

"Take it, didn’t you say that your cell phone was broken," said Massimo again.

Gina shifted her gaze from the cell phone case to Massimo who was already smiling broadly. "I don’t need a new phone, my phone stil..."

"No, I don’t want you to use that broken cell phone."

Gina’s face was red, she didn’t know that Massimo’s purpose in asking her to meet was to give her a new cell phone. Boomerang, Gina’s previous confession made her unable to dodge.

Because Gina was still silent, Massimo finally grabbed Gina’s hand and handed her the phone with the bitten apple logo on it. "This cell phone is not an expensive thing so you don’t have to be amazed for that long."

"Who’s amazed?!"

Massimo chuckled. "Who else if not you, it’s just the two of us right now."

Gina’s heart skipped a beat. Face-to-face with Massimo really made it a pleasure to fall asleep, especially coupled with Massimo’s smile which made it even more congested.

Gina’s consciousness finally returned when there was a light from a car that accidentally hit her face, seeing Gina lowered her face with her eyes closed because she was uncomfortable with the car’s headlights, Massimo immediately turned and looked very annoyed at the driver of the car that had just passed. Damn it, speaking out in the open like this was really very uncomfortable and Massimo only realized it now.

"Are you all right?" he asked, still worried.

Gina still closed her eyes, not because her eyes were still uncomfortable. However, because she wanted to avoid eye contact with Massimo, Gina wanted to normalize her still irregular heartbeat.

"Gina..You heard me, right? Don’t make me worry!!!" Massimo shouted loudly.

"I’m fine, you’re the one making me bad, Marco. Oh no, you’re not Marco. You’re Massimo del Cano, the one who fooled me from the start," Gina said curtly.

"I’m not fooling you, I’m just..."

"Just fooling me outright." Gina immediately cut off Massimo’s words quickly. "But it’s my fault, not yours. I’m the fool for trusting someone so easily."

Massimo’s chest suddenly felt tight when Gina spoke like that, a pain that Massimo had never felt before.

What’s the matter with you, Massimo. Why are you like this? Where is the scary heartless mafia? Why are you so mushy just because of an innocent little girl and... yes an innocent girl who managed to make Massimo feel all the worries that he had never felt before. Damn, what disease is this?!
