His Naughty Lessons-Chapter 230: Say It Again
Chapter 230: Say It Again
** Eli **
When he emptied himself into her — for the second time — Eli couldn’t help but feel that his entire sex life up till today had been a lie.
Everything that happened in this portion of the past hour was completely new to him. This sublime intimacy of entangling deep into each other, truly skin to skin and soul to soul. This desperate yearning that made him want to fold her closer and closer into him, until she became a part of himself and until their heartbeats became one. This insatiable need that didn’t ease the slightest even as they went limp in each other’s arms, gasping yet refusing to let go of their tight embrace.
If this was what sex was supposed to feel like ... then what had he been doing all those years before?
Or maybe, this had stopped being simply sex to him long ago already. Maybe this was what people call ... making love? And in that regard, he was indeed just as new to the scene as the girl in his arms.
His heart did a full somersault at the epiphany. He wished he could stay in precisely that position, hold her as close as he could and keep kissing her until he could make love to her all over again. But the heavy sheen of sweat on her forehead told him that she probably wouldn’t mind using a little break ... so he reluctantly rolled them around, shifting his weight to lie down next to her.
Harper let out a soft whimper when he finally slipped out, trailing a slippery path down her inner thighs. He liked how she clung to him almost instinctively as he inched them away from the soaked mess of sheets beneath them, carefully putting her back down on the dry half of the bed.
"Mmm ... Have we completely ruined your linens tonight?" she mumbled when her eyes fluttered open, noticing what he was doing. Her long lashes were still misted over as she stared at the twisted blankets at their feet and the wet stains beneath them. Her voice still had a delicious hint of hoarseness to it, the sandy texture scratching his insides with itchy tingles.
"The night has just begun, love. I have a feeling that much more will be completely ruined by the end of it." Eli chuckled, and he couldn’t resist the urge to nibble her earlobe a little, eliciting another small sigh from that alluring voice.
Those misty lashes fluttered again beautifully, and then she laughed. "Well, I suppose I’ll have no complaints ... as long as the mattress and the frame hold up."
Oh yes, that was the spirit.
With a lazy yet comfortable exhale, Harper lifted her head and rested it over his chest. The lingering heat on her cheek was still tangible against his skin, yet the gesture was so innocently adoring that it made his heart swell with overflowing tenderness.
"And by the way ... I really like the new name you just gave me," she added in a soft whisper.
Eli blinked, not immediately catching on to what she meant. "Hmm? What name?"
She looked up at him, her lovely lashes batting again expectantly.
Oh ... That! While they were both caught in the height of their passion earlier, he had called her—
"Love?" He repeated the word, and the smile blooming across Harper’s lips told him how much she liked it.
That "new name" hadn’t been a planned surprise or declaration, in fact. It had simply slipped out of him, so naturally that he barely registered it himself. But now, when he uttered it again and savored it slowly on his tongue, he discovered that he liked it too. Few names sounded sweeter than the mere two syllables of "Harper" ... yet this one did.
"You’ve never called me anything other than my actual name before, you know." Harper reminded him. "Maybe occasionally ’demon’ or something along those lines, but ..." She trailed off there with a curious glance. "I always thought you seemed like the kind of person that would like to use words like ’baby’ or ’sweetheart’ or something like that. To be honest, I’ve been a little disappointed that I never got one of those."
The casual complaint gave Eli pause.
He had never given this topic a thought, but his girl was right. He was indeed the type of guy who liked to use those words, especially when it saved him the effort to remember a chick’s name when he knew that they’d only ever see each other for one night. He had probably lost count of how many girls he had casually called "sweetheart" without caring who they truly were, or what made them different from the previous "sweetheart" ... But Harper had never been one of them.
It wasn’t a conscious choice. Just like the slip of that L word wasn’t one either. Perhaps it simply hadn’t felt right to use one of those overly abused and faceless titles on this girl, because she had always been one of a kind. Or perhaps somehow, even before he was aware, he had already known deep down that none of those words were accurate. She was never simply his sweetheart, his baby, or his honey. She was his love.
"Sorry that I made you wait so long for it." Eli smiled in lieu of that long explanation, brushing his lips over the top of her head. "But this name is yours now. One that belongs to you and no one else."
She looked up at him. The curved corners of her lips curved further up, and her eyes twinkled. "I want to hear it again." She propped herself up with an elbow, pressing those smiling lips to his. "Say it again while you make love to me. And again. And again."
Yes. When he makes love to her — a new activity that he had only now discovered to be his absolute favorite. Eli grinned wide, and with a single flip, he was on top of her once more, burying her with hot kisses.
"As you wish, my love."
